Gerne wieder

Kein neues, aber dafür sehr gepflegtes Hotel im kanarischen Stil. Beeindruckender Garten mit Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Aufmerksames, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Lage in Strandnähe und auch Busanbindung bzw. PKW Parkplatz in der Nachbarschaft.

Zimmer zur Straße hin tagsüber recht laut. Abendessen war zum Teil nicht unser Fall, größerer Anteil an einheimischer Küche wünschenswert.

Superb

Whole concept of hotel suited us really well. Lot of plants and trees makes this place unique among hotels in the area. Staff was nice and friendly and bufet breakfast had lot to offer.

Clean, comfortable, great location for our first visit to Maspalomas.

Lovely, peaceful property with easy access to the beach. The breakfast and dinner buffets were very well-done, and we upgraded to half-board after seeing how touristy our restaurant options off property tended to be. The staff was very friendly and responsive.

This is an old hotel. Straight out of the 1970s. It was very charming, clean, and comfortable, but needs an update. Parking was also challenging, but it is well-located. If you are an American tourist like us, be aware that European resorts are very stingy about pool towels.

Beach front means 5-7 minutes of waking and several hundreds of stairs to get to the beach downhill. During this trip I stayed in a four-star with a more varied breakfast and dinner menu. On an evening with a highlight on seafood, there were only mussels. Too less fruits. Toilet leaks, fridge does not cool but only keeps temperature. Safe in the room for an additional daily fee. I think the price is a bit excessive

The hotel is lovely, I really enjoyed the pool, our room and the gardens. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The best thing about our stay was how the staff made us feel, everywhere at the hotel and especially at the restaurant and snack bar. Excellent customer service. Many thanks to Juan, Cata, Fran, Ben and so many more who made our stay truly special! When we arrived we were given a lovely room, but I noticed a bit of noise from the street outside. As I am a light sleeper, we went to reception that same evening and asked if it was possible to move to a quieter room, and luckily this was possible and they helped us move to the other room which was quieter, so that was also very good. I enjoyed eating at the restaurant terrace very much (lovely views of the garden and nice fresh air). Perhaps a small suggestion would be to have air conditioning inside the restaurant hall, as this would probably make it easier to eat there too if needed. The reception staff helped us arrange a couple of excursions which we enjoyed very much. Staff at the hotel were happy to share knowledge about local places to see, and were very friendly and helpful. In terms of location, the beaches nearby were nice and there were plenty of shops nearby (also restaurants, but we didn't visit them this time). We also took the bus to other locations such as Maspalomas Dunes, Playa Amadores, Puerto Mogán and Playa Anfi del Mar. This was very easy using Google maps, as the stops are close to the hotel. We also took the bus from and to the airport and this was very easy, inexpensive and convenient.

not very enjoyable for young people but staff there are great to help us figure our request out

not very much. too simple and old school decoration. and most guests are aged people. it’s very fit for aged people but not same feelings for young people. the performance in the night sounds great and the pool looks beautiful. and the breakfast is great.

Superb

Every thing was great except the use of tiny single use plastic for samples in the bathroom. Apart from that, we had a fantastic stay and would love to come back soon.

I think single use plastic should be banned from this hotel. It would be great to avoid tiny plastic bottles for shampoo and shower gel. Other solutions exist and it would be show Hotel Tropical's commitment for the environment.

Pleasant

The garden was really beautiful.

The bed was not comfortable at all, besides the fact that the area outside was nosey even though our room was not at pool side. We could not have a good night sleep. Wifi was not working at all. The breakfast and dinner were okay but I expected a better quality and taste. The vegetables like lettuce and cucumber were quite old.

super nice hotel, garden snd yard is nice designed.we had very comfy stay, nice staff and kind, food was very delicious

its super old school to force people wear long pants (men only)really? the impression of dining is on super high level, however some elements are against-once there is before 9pm, they immediately clean all tables, covers from tables and do such a big noise which really deny their intial impression and their effort/need at the beginning. so i would easy from the high standařto be real…parking is quite tough and wifi does not work at all. maby also water for free in the room could be

Very enjoyable stay, compliments to the managers and the staff.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Maintenance is outstanding! Everything in the room, e.g. beds, bathroom facilities, etc. is like new, no stains or anything. Air conditioning works well. Wi-Fi is good, there are several amplifiers hanging around the area. There are no tea-making facilities in the room, but a kettle was provided after request at the reception. The hotel is indeed a tropical park, with many exotic plants in the garden around the pool. The garden is also maintained in perfect conditions.

The restaurant operates shifts at dinner time, e.g. one has to choose a fixed one hour slot , e.g. 19:30 to 20:30, and stick to it for the duration of the visit. Even then there are short queues on the entrance. Seating may have been limited by remaining Covid regulations, or just the size of the restaurant, not sure. The hotel is right on the beach front ... in 2 dimensions :) But it is about 50 m above it, so climbing stairs required to get to the beach. Not a big deal for me, just keep that in mind, when booking.

Lovely Garden, very clean everywhere, decent breakfast and nice pool

WIFI is unusable and there are no parking places. Renting a car will make you find a parking place in the nearby streets and that is a challenge on its own

Highly recommended for facilities, location and staff

The tropical setting, so many trees, bubbling streams, so green so fresh. We had a lovely patio on ground level just overlooking the beautiful gardens. Lovely comfortable room with lots of space. They provide a kettle for our room when we requested it along with cups etc. Always great to be able to make your own cup of tea or coffee and sit out on the patio. The food in the restaurant was excellent . As was lunch around the pool. I should also mention the direct access to the beach prom for the hotel ground. Lovely. But what we will always remember from this hotel was the attitude of the staff in reception, maintenance team when we had a small problem in the bathroom, the cleaning staff and the restaurant staff. The minor problem we had was a leak in the bathroom which they addressed immediately when we reported. It could not be solved there and then but they followed up and did resolve it. What really impressed us was that the hotel invited us to dinner on our last night in recognition of the inconvenience to us. And when we booking our taxi to the airport the receptionist said we could retain the room until our taxi was due, at 16.30. a very welcome offer. Thank you to everyone in the hotel.

There is nothing I can say we didn't like. A very minor point is the need to queue for the restaurant and, as it is all buffet, things can be a little rushed.

Room The room was spacious with a seating area .... it was spotlessly clean the cleaner Ana Marie did a wonderful job every single day! Breakfast/Dinner The food at this hotel was one of the best i have had. The selection at every meal was vast and the quality was superb. Staff The staff both in the restaurant and pool bar area were lovely. Nothing at any given time was a problem for them. They all was polite and extremely proficient. Pool The pool area is really nice the sunbeds was say superior that the standard white plastic ones. What i liked was the management did not allow anyone to put towels on sunbeds and not use them .... therefore allowing other guests to enjoy the pool. The assistant Director, Trudy, was amazing and she made sure that everything was run to perfection!! I cannot recommend this hotel too highly .... the moment you step through the main doors was just like stepping into your very own tropical island Well done all i am coming back in September see you all soon x

We vere very happy about our stay

We liked: - very nice tropical park in the territory, very green, quiet, cosy - close to the sandy beach - not too big hotel - friendly staff

Choise of dishes at the dinner was big, but the food could’ve been more tasty; although the additional price for half-board wasn’t too high, therefore value for money for the dinner was OK
