Eine gute Zeit

Die Betten waren bequem und die Toiletten sauber. Der Pool war sichtgeschütz von der Straße und man konnte ihn immer benutzen. Zudem standen 3 Hängematten zur Verfügung. Das Personal war nett, wenn auch manchmal nicht zu finden. Gutes sortiersystem in der Küche und nutzbarer Trockner und Waschmaschine geen Geld.

Die Lage ist etwas weg vom stadtzentrum. (Ist halt so sollte man aber berücksichtigen). Die Küche wird schnell voll (genauso wie der Kühlschrank). Sehr pingelig wenn es darum geht was wie gewaschen werden darf. (Reißverschlüsse, Schuhe etc.)

Hostel friendly and cosy.

Le personnel est trés agréable et serviable. L'ambiance est vraiment top. On s'y sent comme à la maison. C'est cosy. Piscine, cuisine équipée +++, salon, billard. Bien situé.

Les chambres sont un peu petites, avec les valises c'est difficile de se déplacer surtout que dans les chambres de 6 il n'y que 3 casiers et dans la chambre de 10, il y a un casier par lit mais pas le ventilateur partout par exemple.

Super pour court séjour

- hostel familial - lieux communs, sauf la cuisine, étaient bien entretenus - chambre privée petite , mais propre - bonne aération dans la chambre malgré l’absence de climatiseur

- présence de stationnement , mais concept de premier arrivé, premier servi , donc nous n’avons eu de place pour nous lors de notre séjour - entretient de la cuisine qui pourrait être grandement amélioré - route passante à côté de l’hostel. Peut être bruyant pour ceux et celles qui dorment la fenêtre ouverte - aucun rangement dans la chambre privée à deux lit , pas de lumière de chevet non plus

Superb

We arrived late but it was a really easy process to access the property / room. Really friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities: kitchen/diner, living room with tv, pool room, nice swimming pool out back and drive for cars. Nice location, less than a 10 minute walk to the main Street and even less to the bus stop if travelling by greyhound. I love how important recycling and not being wasteful is at PMB!

I didn't stay.

No parking available. 4 spots. Just park your car on the street and pray. Unbelievable. I don't recommend this place. I made the reservation, and 1 h and a half later, I asked for a refund because I wouldn't leave my car on a busy Avenue. The staff said they wouldn't guarantee nothing would happen.

Simple, affordable, convenient, friendly, clean. Just what I needed. Good nearby Thai restaurant and shops. Close to beach.

Limited parking, but so what. Street parking is fine. Fridge space limited.

Cosy vibes and chilled out atmosphere

cosy vibes and place was clean and very chilled out, I immediately felt welcome and people said hi when I came in too! Tash at reception was super friendly and efficient too, and it’s only a 15 minute walk to the beach and coastal walk and lots of lovely restaurants on the way too. Would defo recommend to anyone travelling alone or with mates :)

great but people snoring.

showers had hot water, kitchen was always clean tap turned off on their own good to save water. earplugs available at the office really good idea!!!!!

the price of the laundry and dryer the fan in the room is right under the light and fast flickering when the fan is on not good made people dizzy, not good for me i have epilepsy

Staff friendly and did a great job. The place was clean. Facilities were more than adequate.

My room was smaller than others, the windows opened directly onto a main road, and was right next to the Tv and pool room, so my sleep was not the best. Other guests using my room weren't very respectful of the space but that's just luck of the draw.

After hours check in process. There was someone to help us even though we arrived at 1:30am. Close to shops.

The parking out back is very tight so if you come late, you will have to reverse back out. There is some free parking out on the street. There was a main road next to our room so had trouble sleeping with the noise

Very pleasant stay

At this point, it’s nothing about the property, but the vibe within this hostel. Ben the owner has such an overwhelming energy, that takes you from any form of isolation. I mean, it’s possible to not like this hostel and I think that this hostel doesn’t match with every kind of personality, however thanks to Ben and every staff members I may find a home for a couple weeks. What was a 2 days short passage has transformed in a 3 weeks stay. It’s a very friendly hostel that bring value to Port Macquarie. Now, about the accommodation, I can affirm you that it is the cleanest hostel in which I have been since 3 months of roadtrip (and almost 15 hostels visited). Every morning and evening the staff members are cleaning (the bathroom + kitchen on the morning and the kitchen on the evening). The room were okay, but I think that it’s not the room that is the most important but with who you share it. And most important, the kitchen is open at any time! They even add a shelf with more space for you guys 😬

Guests who were selfish and who didn’t wash their dish. - (but there was only a few)

I had a great stay at PMB and it was my favourite hostel I’ve stayed in so far in Aus! the staff there (Tash and Co) are brilliant and would highly recommend to any bag-packer staying in Port Macquarie

Road Trip Overnight Stay

Cheap affordable easy accommodation, good enough for a place to sleep for one night on my road trip from Brisbane to Melbourne. Staff was accommodating of late check-in. The place was clean, everyone else who was staying was respectful of everyones personal space and considerate of noise levels.

Requested a bottom bed as I'm a big guy and had huge difficulty climbing up to the top bunk. I'm guessing the bottoms were taken because I was late arriving however each bed had a location number which appeared not to be used. I was left with a room number and keys on the late arrival location which I was appreciative of.

Superb

This was a great place to stay with exceptionally helpful staff. We are not the average age of backpackers, being more like their parents or possibly grandparents. However, we loved staying here and found everyone friendly and quiet at night. The communal kitchen was well stocked and it was very useful for meals. We used the pool to cool down after a day walking and although not huge, it was most pleasant. The location of the hostel is great, very close to bus stops, town and within easy walking distance of shops and the marina. Ben, the owner is a gregarious, super friendly guy, full of good information and tips. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget. We had the private bedroom and bathroom but the communal toilets and showers seemed good.

Homelike place

It was really cute and thr place felt like home! Toilets and kitchen were clean. Beds comfy and pillows too. Owner Ben was very chatty and helped me with everything he could. Easy to get there from Greyhound bus stop. Would definitely stay there again!

Couches in the living room were a bit outdated and the fridge was a bit too small considering how many people there were.

Very good

Perfect clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice communal areas.

Quite noisy traffic and wifi wasn’t that good in rooms. But other than that perfect!
