Enjoyable and relaxing night’s stay

The swimming pool was a bonus. Pleasant outdoor seating areas attached to each cottage. Quiet location.

Disappointing for the price

This is a nice property if you have small children and want to enjoy the pool all day. Otherwise it had little to offer us.

A bit of a campsite vibe. Not walking distance to anything in the middle of summer. disappointing from the point of view of how badly stocked the apartment was. There was not even a dish cloth! A complementary bottle of water in the fridge was as good as it got. There is nothing of what you would expect as basic provisions in a place like this, e.g a sachet or two of coffee, a salt seller, a small shampoo. Some mosquito plug ins would have been expected too given the amount of mosquitoes. We have stayed in many apartments in Greece and these basics would be the norm. On top of which our room was not ready when we arrived (at check in time) and although the manager apologised she proceeded to tell us to go for a spin for an hour and come back. Instead of offering us a cold drink etc. overall the welcome wasn’t amazing and we left feeling deflated having paid above the norm for a nights accommodation in Greece.

Amazing holidays at Houdis House, Paralio Astros

We liked absolutely everything about Houdis House. It's like a paradise oasis. The beautiful garden, amazing swimming pool, it's location (literally 3-5min to the clean shallow beach), and some 10-15min walk to a super cute coastal town of Paralio Astros with a great variety of tavernas, bars, restaurants, as well as local supermarkets and 2 bakeries! The hostess of Houdis Houses, Magdalena, is very kind, attentive and friendly person who takes an amazing care of her holiday place. The guests are very nice, too and everyone looked super happy and relaxed. The area is full of amazing historic sites, so we kept exploring the area every day and we were very impressed by its beauty.

Excellent trip with a family

We visited the homeland during Greek Easter and decided to stay at Houdis Houses. The facilities were wonderful. The children enjoyed sleeping upstairs in the lodge with the nice view and playing basketball on the court. The pool looked very inviting, but we didn't try it, as we hadn't brought swimsuits in April. Being Spring everything was in bloom and just taking in the view was a very relaxing experience. There was enough space for the children to ride their bicycles. In front of our house was a gazebo with a barbecue. The location was excellent. The beach was only 100m walk through a footpath. The picturesque town of Paralio Astros was in walking distance. Plenty of possibilities for excursions with the car along the beautiful coast of eastern Peloponnese. Good Wi-Fi access. Kitchen & Utilities perfectly comfortable. All in all this was one of our nicest stays in the last decade and we will come back. We didn't have any complaints. The owner was still kind enough to ask us if everything met our expectations and if we had any suggestions for improvement.

Overall excellent place to stay especially for families.

This is an excellent family oriented property. It is not located on the beach but only a five minute drive and perhaps 20 minute walk away. The property consists of several individual houses and was very clean and fairly well equipped. The house had a loft with a double bed and a single bed. Two additional beds on the main floor. Lots of hot water for a nice warm shower. The owner was very nice and made arrangements for us to do our laundry.

The telephone shower was a bit wobbly. Could use some repair. Also there were no luggage racks for suitcases.

Cozy private home away from home near the beach

The house was so private and spacious, it was like a small home away from home. The pool was fun. It was a short walk to the beach. The owner was extremely friendly.

Some of the guests' kids were noisy especially in the pool, I would have liked the owner to ask them to quiet down, but she was friendly and nonjudgmental with everyone!

Pleasant

Location is good and pool is very nice.

Beds are on the short side, some things were missing from the kitchen like basic utensils, a chopping board, a broom etc. The fridge wasn’t very cold, the kitchen fan was slightly broken, the shower handle sprayed water everywhere. There was an unreal amount of mosquitoes and some of the mosquito nets on the windows were broken.

Good

Very Scenic location, 5 mins walk to beach, 10 mins walk to nice restaurants. Nice quiet place to come if you want to switch off completely. Paralia astros is a nice village. Nafplio is only 40 min drive from the property

No couch if you want to relax a bit more there in the evenings. Tv only has Greek channels. You need to be prepared for mosquitos.
