it’s like sleeping in a house in the forest !

I had a nice time during my stay here. I liked the fact that there is a personal unique touch everywhere you look. just one example is the faucet in my bathroom sink was a real sea shell !

i wish it were closer to some more amenities but overall I would stay again. I was able to easily find reliable transportation. The owner will provide you with a private taxi that’s owned by a very nice couple.

You can tell that Arturo is a passionate guy architecting and sharing his beautiful place!

It’s a very charming place with a beautiful garden and if you are lucky you will spot a séréque.

you will never stay at a place as unique as this place. off the beaten path charming with just what you need if catching

our host Arturo was super charming , friendly and helpful. he has created an amazing oasis with beautiful gardens located in a quiet neighbourhood . we really appreciated being able to check in early, and that he could offer us a tasty breakfast and also a late checkout.

Beautiful retreat close to the airport

Arturo was so genuinely nice and accommodating, such an interesting man. The apartment was quiet, cool and clean, with lots of interesting homemade decorations and unique design elements. The garden is beautiful and serene. We loved our stay!

We liked everything about the property and the services provided by the host. The accommodation was well located for the airport, but we didn't have any time to explore the area. Thanks to Arturo, it was also much cheaper to get back to the airport when he booked a taxi for us (note for fellow travellers: careful taking the authorised taxis from arrivals as they charged us almost three times what we paid to get back!).

Quiet, safe, artistic oasis with great service to airport.

Casa del Aquitecto was such a treat to stay in. After having spent more than a month in Playa del Carmen, we really enjoyed this peaceful retreat on our last night before flying out from the Cancun Airport. The area is very quiet and safe and we walked to a pleasant dinner near the town square on wide, tranquil streets. Wifi was fine and there were plenty of outlets to charge up all our electronics. The highlight was seeing Arturo's art and learning about his artistic process. He is dedicated to reusing materials and has created many beautiful pieces that can be found throughout the grounds and rooms. Arturo ordered us a 5:30 am taxi which arrived on time. Unfortunately, I left an item behind and he contacted us right away and was very helpful.

Meeting the host in person. :) It was a big highlight for us that the host showed us his house, which he built, and his artwork. He is a fascinating and talented person! :)

An artful and whimsical respite, with an abundance of hospitality.

This is a very high quality BnB. The hosts were in contact with the taxi driver to make sure I got to the right place, then met me at the gate. Even though it was late and I was only staying one night, they made every effort to make me feel welcome. The attention to detail regarding comfort is above and beyond, and this is the best experience I’ve had traveling in a long time. I had an early flight the next day and the host personally drove me to the airport to make sure I got there on time, which was arranged the night before. I would highly recommend this location, not only for quality of hosting, but also for the beauty of the location, including stunning art pieces made by the host and a fabulous garden.

A wonderful, magical introduction to Mexico

A magical stay. The hosts are wonderful at this hotel. We were treated to a tour of the property designed by the owner, who showed us the greatest hospitality. the hotel is beautifully constructed and a wonderful way to begin our Mexico trip. Nothing came close the the breakfast that we had here and waking up to the sounds of nature through the windows- wow.

We arrived at night- later than expected due to airport chaos and it was quite intimidating on a very quiet dirt road, especially as our first stop in a new country but we fell straight to sleep and woke up in jungle paradise

Perfect location for a stay near the airport. We spent our first night in Mexico here and had a great rest after a long flight. Our bed was very comfortable and the host is super friendly. we would definitely visit this place again.

Cozy and peacefull place

It was our first stay in Mexico and we had a very relaxing sleep. Even if the place is close to the airport, it is a very peacefull place. Beautyfull to hear (unknown) singing birds in the morning. Arturo is a wonderfull host. Muchas gracias, amigo !

If you want to experience CHARACTER, this falling apart old Caribbean mansion is for you. One night maximum recommended

If you want to experience real Mexico right off the airplane, this is your spot. A locals city area with street food (but no working ATM) was nearby. Host was helpful. Shower worked.

Very hard to find in a dirt road, unmarked neighborhood (use Google maps and watch for tiny sign). House is literally falling apart. They moved us to a different room when the first had lots of ants (a few ants is normal, this was an infestation). The “kitchenette” was scary, don’t use.

The place is 20 minutes near the airport by car. It's a very quiet place, far away from many tourists. You here just a lot of birds and it's really nice, like in a jungle:) The room is nice and the breakfast and dinner was so good. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. Gracias! Note: you have to pay in cash (no credit card)
