Good place to stay a night or a few in Dublin.

Comfy stay in Dublin. The structure is nice and the staff very welcoming.

We were unlucky with the guests in the bunk bed next to us as they did a lot of noise during the night. The room was of passage for some people to reach the next one so there were too many people passing by.

A good value hostel

I really liked how clean it was, and that it was in a historic building, and the breakfast was fine. I was less happy with the noise at night, the very late check-ins and the slightly rough area.

Das vielleicht beste Hostel Irlands ;)

Die Zimmer in der "Chapel" waren wunderschön und außergewöhnlich. Für ein Hostel gab es außerdem besonders komfortable und saubere Gemeinschaftsbäder. Das Frühstück war super und man musste sein Geschirr nicht selbst spülen! Der Gartenbereich war sehr schön und wir haben unseren Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr genossen!!!

Recommended location in Dublin. Private room gives additional comforts.

Well maintained and clean as expected. Staff were fantastic as always. Having a private double room worked out well. Towels, and amenities were there. Having a TV, kettle etc was great. Overall a good space. Plenty of toilets and showers on our floor.

One of the mattresses could do with a refresh / Replacement. If at all possible increased sound insulation from external road traffic noise would be great. Sounds were coming through as if the windows were open

Chuffed!

I liked the availability of the facilities, I never once queued for a bathroom and they were always clean. I liked the TV room for leisure and comfort. Breakfast being included was a great bonus as a lot of places charge extra. Location was good, bus stops near by and quick walk to O'connell St for central transport options. Staff were super helpful when I asked for help or recommendations, and were very friendly.

The only negative I have was the comfort of the bed but even then it wasn't that bad. Hostels always have thin mattresses but the sheets were comfy.

Nettes B&B im Jugendherbergsstil für 1-2 Übernachtungen in Dublin.

Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, kein Full Irish Breakfast aber Toast, Marmelade Nutella und viele verschiedene Cereals. War auf jeden Fall ausreichend lecker und das Zimmer war auch sehr groß.

Enttäuschend, selbst Hostels können besser sein

Freundliches Personal, sehr sauber, schöne Aufenthaltsräume und schöne kleine Details in der Gestaltung.

Keine Ablagemöglichkeit im Badezimmer, sehr unbequeme Betten. Frühstück sehr dürftig. Allgemein war es sehr laut, das Zimmer war im Erdgeschoss neben dem Aufzug (Aussparung in der Wand für den Aufzug), jedes Mal wenn der benutzt wurde, dröhnte es im ganzen Zimmer. Von der Lautstärke her eine Zumutung. Die Nachtruhe wurde leider vom Personal nicht durchgesetzt. Bis nachts um 2 gab es lautes Gegröhle anderer Gäste.

It was nice, thanks.

Location - great, I walked to my friends and spent time in the city centre without any problems. Room - cool, it was quiet, clean and suitable for me. Breakfast - I would like If eggs join to breakfast)))

Beds - it was a little bit uncomfortable.

Good value for money

- nice and helpful staff - good location - 10 min walk to city center, bus and train station, big supermarket - possibility to keep luggages in the hostel before and after the stay for free - clean and quite calm for such a big hostel

- the kitchen is probably equiped, but we found it almost without any kitchenware in the evening. Also the fridge is full of big containers of people who stays here probably longer time and there is not much space for others - the lift is not really reliable, we get stucked there once and didnt try again (fortunately the door worked on other floors so we got out) - strong lights on in the hall all night - breakfast included in the price, but starts at 7 a.m., withous option to get a package when leaving earlier (and once we made it due to busy schedule, it started at 7:15, when we already had to go for a bus..)

The room was poor. Four beds, but no tables, shelves, anything to put your small things on. The bed was not comfortable, and it also made a lot of noise while moving. Also, towels are to be paid extra!?!? I have never experienced that before.

Better than to sleep on the steet :)

Smell in the room beacause of lots of stinky shoes. Shouldnt be allowed to have outdoor shoes in the same area as bedrooms. Shower area should be cleaned before 7 in the morning or at least not all shower rooms should be “under the cleaning process” at the same time. We was not allowed to use bathroom because they were not finished to clean.

Practical. Convenient. Nice staff.

Large and roomy building with a rabbit warren of rooms, stairs and corridors. Varied decor from 'graffiti style' painted walls, to more traditional framed prints hung against plain walls. Secure parking. Outdoor eating area. Lots of options for communal gathering including a room with games. Bunk rooms were clean and simple. Bathrooms were clean and everything worked. Linen was clean. Staff were great. 24hr reception. Good signage to help you find your way around.

Breakfast not early enough for those catching the Irish Ferries Swift boat (need to be at the port for 7am). Suggestion - offer a prepacked 'picnic' or 'take away' breakfast bag? Possibly a snack/Breakfast bar, piece of fruit and a couple of biscuits with a small yoghurt? Bed was less comfortable than my camping mattress and the bed made a loud 'crack' when I moved position (room 21 bed 4) - annoying for me but I imagine very irritating for the person on the bunk below. Duvet cover was fully open at one end and ripped at the other. No individual 'focus' bunk light as far as I could see, so it was either a full room light or torches. VERY limited storage available in the room. One of the room mates was eating a smelly burger when I arrived so the room stank. Suggest a rule of - no food in the bunk rooms. Kitchen had drawers labelled with all sorts of items that were not available. There was no kettle in the kitchen (although there is a separate coffee station apparently) and limited cutlery. The igniter on the gas stove did not work and it was only later someone pointed out a box with manual lighters. No bowls I could find for the microwave other than the small 'cereal style' bowls - nothing larger like a mixing bowl. If you are staying more than one night it probably all makes sense and others were generally quick to help out and explain how things work.

Well located, good infrastructure and worth the price.

Good location, friendly people working there. Very good variety for the breakfast and a really good kitchen if you want to cook. I stayed in a room for 6 people but big and with a bathroom inside. Also the place counts with bathrooms outside the rooms.

The pillow could be a little betterm it's my only improvement point from the 2 nights that I stayed there.

The staff was very nice, easy check in and check out.

The room was incredibly hot, the A/C did not work in our room which was odd since the hallways were cold and air conditioned. They did leave us a fan so that did help. Incredibly noisy at night, and we didn't feel entirely safe in the location it was in. I'd recommend spending the extra money and getting a hotel/hostel on the other side of the bridge as that area was much nicer and less sketchy than this one.

The mattress was the worst i had to sleep in in a while. The bunk bed wasn’t really screwed to the wall and when my bf tried to climb up the whole bed slightly toppled toward us, it was not stable at all. Note that he’s not a big guy either about 85 kgs. The building is very old and it shows in the cracks of the thin walls (you hear absolutely everything). The air just comes in through the closed windows, in other words, it’s badly insulated, good thing it wasn’t cold when we stayed there.

Clean and functional

The location was pretty good. The room was small but clean. The breakfast options were decent and the outdoor patio was really lovely.

I didn't like that there was only one main light in the room. It would have been better if each bed had its own individual light.
