About this house rental
This property is perfect for a family or group looking to spend a little time in Old Forge. The property is in the village of Old Forge and is adjacent to the Enchanted Forest Water Safari and directly on the TOBIE bicycle and snow mobile trail. The Fulton Chain Brewery, with a wide selection of local brews on tap and live entertainment, is a quick minute walk from the front door. Downtown, Old Forge Pond (access point to the Fulton Chain of Lakes) and Beach, the Moose River, restaurants, shops, hiking and biking trails, playgrounds, and recreational sport fields and courts are all within a five minute walk from the house. The George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center (North Street Pavillion), home to feativals, antique and car shows, and soccer tournaments, is down the hill from the house. A newly renovated, fully equipped fitness center with day rates operates across the street to accommodate travelers. The Enchanted Forest Water Safari is literally in the back yard and is a two minute walk to the front entrance offering visitors the more water rides than any other theme park in New York State.
For the autumn and winter enthusiasts, downhill skiing and snowboarding and many mountain hiking traills are within a ten minute ride from the house. McCauley Mountain offers four seasons of scenic trails and winter activities with access to its peak via a classic chair lift. McCauley Mountain is a short trip through the village and its peak can be seen from the top of the street. Bald Mountain is a quick ten minute car ride north and offers breathtaking views atop the firetower at its peak with a family friendly trail leading the way. Black Bear and Rocky Point Mountains offer more challenging hiking trails for the Adirondack Park adventurer.
The house can easily accommodate up to eight visitors. The two bedrooms upstairs have either a queen sized bed or has bunk beds with an additional twin size bed. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed. Two very comfortable futons are available in the living room and fold out to full size beds for extra sleeping arrangements. Linens and bedding are provided with rental.
The upstairs bathroom has a full bath and shower, vanity, sink, and toilet. The downstairs bathroom has a toilet, sink, and vanity.
The kitchen has a standard sized refrigerator, electric stove and range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and crock pot. The dining area in the kitchen has seating for six (more seating available upon request). The use of outdoor tables and gas grill are provided in the rental as well.
The living room has a large, flat screen smart television with internet access and basic digital cable (Time Warner/Spectrum). WiFi is provided for renters.
The house has a large basement with a washer and dryer and a garage for snowmobile or bicycle storage. The property can easily accommodate multiple vehicle parking.
In the colder months, oil heat keeps the house very warm and cozy. In the summer, air conditioners will provide relief from the daytime heat.

Love it's cute place. Perfect access to the town- walking distance. The porch is wonderful to just sit and enjoy a drink. Everything was great. Can't beat this pick.

This property was amazing! Very clean and the location was perfect for family/friend gathering. We stayed two nights and definitely could have used more time. We had issues with our stove but this was quickly resolved. The property manager’s uncle and aunt were staying in the cabin out back and were quick to help us out when needed. They provided towels, sheets, toys for the kiddos and everything imaginable. They even left us with a welcome basket and extra bottles of water. They went above and beyond for us. Checkout was easy and despite me checking, no extra cleaning by me was needed. Thanks Nick, we are already planning next year!

We stayed here for our trip to Old Forge and could not have been happier. The house was clean and well stocked and the hosts were friendly and helpful when needed. The house was perfectly located near town so we were able to walk many places. We'll be meeting this in mind for future trips!

We had a wonderful stay in Old Forge for the April Eclipse. The house was cozy and clean and provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable and close to the action. Would definitely stay here again. Nick was super communicative and gave clear detailed instructions upfront on anything we’d need for the house.

We had a wonderful time at this vacation home. We can't say enough good things about our experience, starting at booking the home, to staying there and even when our time came to a close. The owners and manager were just wonderful.
The home was centrally located in Old Forge. Close to the beach, parks, Enchanted Forest/Water Safari, Bald and McCauley Mountains, Restaurants, coffee, trails, shopping, and more.
The place was clean and comfortable with loads of charm. They even set out a basket with a bunch of different treats and left some cold waters in the fridge. Our grandkids were in heaven. The property manager was so helpful and accommodating, even checked in on our stay to make sure we were happy.
We definitely recommend staying here!! We were all sad to go :)

Convenient location and nice camp/house in the Adirondacks. The location is within walking distance to shops in Old Forge, the public beach, water park, brewery etc. and a short drive to other ADK towns, hiking trails, canoe/kayak experiences.
Communication with the host (Nick) was top notch. Check in process was explained well and very easy. By chance we met the owner on our last day there and he was very friendly and pleasant to talk to.
Plenty of sleeping space and area to relax. Ammenities met our expectations (wifi, washer/dryer, linens etc.). The wildlife was fun to see in the mornings and evenings, as we sat by the fire.
I would recommend this property and location.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The convenient location to the beach and water park was nice. Enjoyed nightly visits from deer as we sat by the fire pit. Property was clean. Communication and check in process were very easy. We enjoyed the gas grill and used it daily. Had a great time.

This house is absolutely adorable and very clean and cozy. Within walking distance to everything. Water safari is literally beyond the back yard. The host was in constant contact with us making sure we had everything we needed. Very quiet neighborhood. Micro brewery right across the street. The house was filled with everything you could possibly need while on vacation. I could go on and on about our wonderful experience

Property is in a perfect location near Enchanted Forest, Pied Piper, and a short walk into town. Nick was very responsive and followed up quickly on questions. Check in was easy, property was clean, great rental!

Excellent vacation rental
We really enjoyed our week at this property. The home was very clean which made for a comfortable stay. It is really a great location as it is close to town, but still offers privacy and access to the trails at the end of North St. The property manager was very responsive and fixed any issues we had. We would definitely stay again!

Old Forge Getaway
The house was conveniently located for walking into town, biking, and accessing the Moose River for paddling. There was some noise from the neighbors late one evening but otherwise pretty quiet. The house was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable for our group of two couples. The property manager was very responsive. We would definitely stay there again.

Very Comfortable and Clean
My contact person was very accomodating and nice. We were coming in on a holiday. He allowed us to check in early and even left us cooking supplies to help with our dinner. The place was very clean. I walked around in sock feet and was comfortable in doing so. He went above and beyond checking on us to make sure everything was ok and we were enjoying ourselves. We became buddies with one of the locals. ( A deer that came to visit us every morning). LOL . The home had everything you would need. Beds were very comfortable as well. I highly recommend the place and we will try to reserve again in the summer as it is a 5 minute walk to Water Safari and Slickers.

Great vacation
Close to everything. We walked to Enchanted Forest one day (2 minute) walk, walked to the beach every day (5 minute walk) and went downtown every day (5 minute walk). Very comfortable accommodations. Nice yard and sidewalk for the kids to play. Playground right up the street. If you are going to stay in Old Forge for a few days, this is a great option. Owner was very accommodating and attentive.

Enchanted stay with our grandkids with easy access to Enchanted Forest!
Beautiful and well maintained property! Made our weekend stay with family relaxed and extremely comfortable. Nice Adirondack feel about this home. Looking forward to our trip back to Old Forge Area next summer! Pleasant surprise was our rain day trip to Blue Mountain museum with our 2 toddlers. Plenty of hands on activity for them there.

Wonderful
Our family had a great time at Old Forge and the rental was just perfect. Clean and comfortable and Nick was always willing and available if needed. House is right next to Enchanted Forest Water Safari which made it so convenient to walk there with the little ones and come back when needed. Would definatley come back again! Thank you!

A perfect property in reaching distance to almost anywhere in town by foot.
Our weekend was great and was greeted with a friendly personal note and some goodies from Nick. The accommodations were perfect for our group of 7 guests. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. There is a lot of privacy and it is right near the running trail (over achieving family) for us to start the day. It was so easy to walk to the Enchanted Forest as well. We recommend anyone to stay there without reservation!

Fantastic Location! Within walking distance to everything!
Lovely house on a side street within walking distance to the lake, shops and restaurants! The property is extremely clean and neat. The beds are very comfortable and the porch is perfect for afternoon relaxation. The manager, Nick, is available by phone or text to answers questions or direct you to attractions. My friends and I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property!

Great house in a great location!
Went there for the week of July 4th. My two boys had a great time. House was very comfortable thanks to the AC and very clean. Owners were easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. House is within walking distance of Water Safari, the beach and some great restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!

Awesome rental and location
This was our first timing renting a house and it was great! House says "sleeps 8" but we had 10 of us and it worked! Location was right next to Water Safari and kitty corner to brewery, which was perfect so we didn't have to drive anywhere. The owners were very hospitable and accommodating. The house had everything we needed- right down to tin foil to cover our leftovers.
The only negative I heard from the group was the one full size bed sank in the middle and wasn't very comfortable.

We had a great time staying in Old Forge for the holiday weekend. The house was very clean and perfect for our family. The proximity to the trail made snowmobiling from the house a cinch. Will definitely be looking to rent again in the future.
