Na 2 teleurstellende ervaringen, kwamen we aan bij Il Nido del Gabbiano. We hadden pas anderhalf uur voor aankomst geboekt en toch was Luigi daar en was het huis heerlijk schoon. De ontvangst was fantastisch, de vriendelijkheid van Luigi is ongekend. Het huis is helemaal gerenoveerd met een heerlijk bed en prachtige badkamer. Je kijkt uit over zee en woont op een terrein met een boomgaard met citroenbomen, andere fruitbomen en olijfbomen. Het is een klein paradijs. Luigi geeft je goede tips voor bezienswaardigheden en restaurants. Echt een aanrader om hier te verblijven!

The setting, the view, the welcome package from the host - everything was perfect!

The property’s drive is quite difficult to navigate but there was a perfectly good alternative if you’re happy to leave your car 1 minute walk away.

A fantastic place to stay. The views are picturesque and the house is beautiful. There is a lemon grove on the property and the owners produce a very tasty lemoncello. Plan to watch the sunset every evening.

Don’t bother trying, just park on the road.

Wow!! This is an amazing place to stay and relax looking over the island of Capri. There were two big bedrooms and bathrooms and the living area makes us want to move to Massa Lubrense. We had a rental car and its about 15 mins drive from Sorrento and the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Sorrento and Amalfi to sit back, have a nice glass of wine and watch the sunset. Great supermarket 5 mins away. We took the advice from some other travelers we met in Rome and booked a driver to take us to Positino, Revello and along the coast and it was money well spent. You are so close at Il Nido and pack in a full day without the stress of driving and finding a park. We used Patrizio from Mandara Car Services and his guide Valentina took us on a wonderful day down the coast including the best lunch (additional cost) we have ever had up there with French Laundry. Patrizio met us there and he was amazing like we were part of his family.

the location was quiet and peaceful with an amazing view from the Terrance. the apartment was bigger than i expected and very tastefully and traditionally furnished. The bathrooms were beautiful and the bedrooms very large and spacious Liberato met us on arrival and bought us pizza as we were late arriving which was very kind. He also accommodated my last minute change of plan which was amazing . It was really nice to be met and greeted. wonderful hosts .

the beds were a little too firm for me and the terrace chairs needed a bit of a clean as they were covered in cat hair and as i am allergic to cats i didnt use the cushions

It’s a great place! Our host Liberato just made us feel part of the Italian family. He’s super friendly and helpful. When the coffee machine broke he went an extra mile to quickly fix that situation. All rooms are spacious and have their own AC. Great view from the terrace to the Mediterranean and Capri. There’s a really good seafood restaurant near the property. Overall the location was very nice and private. 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely amazing place, magnificent views, very friendly and helpful host. This is the very best place to spend a beautiful vacation at, waking up every morning with the most beautiful sunrise and starting the evening with the most spectacular sunset what so ever!!
