Droomplek!

Wat een heerlijke plek en super fijn hotel aan 'de andere kant' van het prachtige eilandje Kolocep. Hier kom je echt helemaal tot rust. Service van de medewerkers is 100% top en oprecht. Kamer was heerlijk ruim, mega groot balkon met zicht op de baai en het blauwe water van de zee en de lucht. Heerlijk bed. Super goed verzorgd ontbijt aan tafel geserveerd. En mooie kaart voor de lunch en diner. Het lijkt wel of je hier je eigen butler hebt! Je kunt bij het hotel kajakken lenen en naar de blauwe grot gaan. En een prachtige wandeling maken over het eilandje is ook de moeite waard. Verder kun je makkelijk met de veerboot (3 euro) naar de haven van Dubrovnik heen en weer.

Amazing holiday, staff went above and beyond, beautiful hotel, stunning island, highly recommend.

Everything was amazing, the airport transfer was perfect, then on to the speed boat to the island was amazing experience, arriving at the hotel's private jetty felt like being a celeb! The staff were fantastic, manager Mario, head waiter Milan and Darko, Sidharth and Abhisek were all fab and lovely, went above and beyond. The cleaning staff ladies were brill also, so friendly. The facilities were so clean and always a sunbed free, was such a calm relaxing atmosphere, lovely music playing everywhere. Food and drink were out of this world delicious! Especially the pink champagne and cheesecake were our favourites! Free kayaks to use at the hotel which we took advantage of, walking around the island, went to the other village to visit. Went on excursions with Galeb Tours Kalamota- they were fantastic and picked us up from the hotel when really the pick up for the excursion was from the other village so had the tour boat to ourselves which was brilliant, they were so helpful and we had great days out. Highly recommend Kolocep for a relaxing holiday. We stayed for 6 nights.

Advertised as could pay by Amex but it wasn't working whilst we were there which was annoying as we had planned to pay via Amex, luckily we had brought another card with us which we could pay with. Our shower tray filled up with water quite quickly by the end of week, so maybe this needs looking at. If you visit the other island is quite a walk, maybe 30 mins in the hot sun, lots of flying beetles along the track. Shop only open in the morning and again 5-7pm.

Silent and sereen.

A comfortable silently venue, spacious room, friendly staf, good bed, really fast and stable WiFI, on the beach with strand beds. The restaurant serves good food. You can make some small walks in the neighborhood. Wonderful transfer option with speedboat (15 min) from en to Dubrovnik harbor.

A gorgeous hotel and location. Relaxing but restricted.

Location is stunning. Right on the edge of the sea. Lovely sun beds size of property only 11 rooms was great for a personal service

Distance to a shop for supplies and the ferry. It’s more than a 20 minute walk. Directions are not very good either Carrying a suitcase is very hard especially after travelling and not knowing where you’re going. The hotel will pick you up by boat but it’s €40. I think this should be complimentary with the stay. Getting there is NOT easy

Looking forward to going back

The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough to enhance our stay.

There was some overrunning exterior work during the day, but the hotel did everything possible to mitigate this. It didn’t spoil our break.

If you are looking for a relaxing hotel with an amazing atmosphere, this is the place to be!

Amazing little place by the seaside. Friendly host that you could ask for anything. Me and my girls loved the room and the view was amazing. we would really love to come back

Wish there were more variance in the menu at the hotel since there is no other restaurants in the near that is an option. But we had some really good meals there as well

Relaxing and quiet, high end boutique hotel.

The hotel is well appointed throughout. The air conditioning is excellent. Right on the sea front!

They have made a super job of opening up post pandemic. the food in the evening is excellent, they could do with a day/bar type menu, which I understand is coming imminently.

Room for improvement

The location and views at Kalamota were amazing. The rooftop pool is just stunning and since the hotel only has 8 rooms, it was never crowded. The rooms were spotless every single day, kudos to the cleaning staff. Next to that, the manager did make an effort to improve our stay after we had shared our bad experience with the restaurant staff.

Having spent 10 days with a family of four we found the place not to be geared towards families much. There was no small playground (which was advertised) and the restaurant has no real kid-friendly options. The staff of the restaurant did not want to be flexible around small changes since it wasn't part of 'the concept' so in all honesty, we have had a very poor experience with the evening shift of the restaurant. The manager did change this around in the last days, for which we are thankful.

Nice place for a few days, service could be improved

New building, spacious apartments, nice rooftop pool. Secluded spot (away from public ferry).

Service could have been better, even though we were the only guests they seem to struggle to get things right first time. Everything did get done in the end but in a 4 star resort I would’ve expected more anticipation of staff without various reminders. Also we were not aware that the hotel is located on a car-free island but also a 25-30 min walk away from the public ferry point (so a no go if you’re travelling with luggage, in which case you don’t have a choice but to use a private transfer which is pricey).

we really enjoyed staying @ kalamota beach house.

Best customer service & hospitality. hotel staff was very accommodating to all our requests, arranged transportation in and out of the island & private boat tour of the neighboring islands & transferred us to sister hotel near airport to meet our early flight schedule. hotel room was very nice with a great view.

due to hotel's location in kolocep island, it's about 20 min boat ride from the old city of dubrovnik and a bit inconvenient to move in and out of the island with limited number of a ferry schedule per day.

Heaven On Earth

When the blue of the sea meets the green of the trees, when a carful vision becomes skin and tendons, when a dream becomes a reality... then you got yourself a piece of paradise An amazing boutique hotel, hidden among the trees, in a tiny bay right by the water with a private beach. A dreamy location. A magicaland enchanted atmosphere. The apartments are modern and tastefully decorated, comfortable, very spacious, incredibly clean and equipped to particularly high standard. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The breakfast and the food at the bar and the restaurant are varied and tasty. The entire hotel staff, without exception (including: Roman, Vladimir, Ivo the chef, the reception and cleaning staff) is simply amazing, incredibly friendly and supremely professional! each one of them is willing to help in any matter at any time - always with a smile and endless courtesy. Finally, a thousand thanks and more to the hotel manager, Mr. Andrija Maurovic - the man and the legend, who "conducts the whole orchestra" with excessive success and commendable modesty and who went out of his way to make us feel at home. The personal and warm treatment we received as well as caring, the professional and uncompromising service, which was beyond all imagination, and the concern for every detail are not taken for granted. Thanks to him our vacation has become an unforgettable experience and one that exceeds all expectations. Highly recommended

Last stop before home...

Location was great with lovely views, although it should be made clear that access is by boat only and that the ferry stops on the other side of the island.

Unfortunately, my wife got bitten by many gnats when sitting outside for dinner - again, the hotel should let guests know this is a problem on the island.
