Excellent location and hotel service in Hermanus

Excellent location and great service all around. The General Manager and her team provided a very hospital experience and accommodating requests for our comfort. Breakfast is very good with many options.

The description of the room on booking was not what we got. The room was much smaller. However the GM had us transferred for last day of three day visit to ocean facing room.

No other place to stay in Hermanus. The Marine is exceptional!

Location, excellent staff - top service and all very friendly, Food - specially breakfast buffet, spacious room, Africology products!

No interaction from the GM and a sommelier would be good - specially for foreigners selecting wines for dinner.

Wonderful!

We were in room 230. Beautiful views of the ocean, corner unit at the far end of the building separate sofa sitting area and large bed in adjoining room. Nice full bathroom with bath looking to ocean and shower. It had a small balcony with chairs and table looking down the coast and ocean, great room. Breakfast very good a la carte and buffet with a Bloody Mary cart setup, nice touch. Cliff trail is right out front the touristy restaurants a block walk away. View Point on the trail 3 blocks way. Protected pool area. Nice main bar and outside seating with ocean views to look for whales. Secure guarded parking and he washed my car, thanks. Thank you Motion and to all in the bar (motion you are now a friend) who helped me learn a few sisutu words, and add to the ixihosa ones I new, it was a good laugh! Food in the restaurant very good. Across the trail from Bientangs a nice on the waves restaurant to try. Beautiful spot to stay in Hermanus, we would definitely stay again.

The ac did not work very well in our room, in fact could not cool it at all when it got hot from the sun; we opened the windows to feel the ocean breeze, but could be a problem in bug season no screens on windows

Exceptional we coming back.

The welcome staff from the parking to the reception was warmly welcoming. The duty manager was exceptional. The hotel is awesome and the location is on point.. The food was amazing as well. Loved the experience.

Classy retro hotel in a great location

Very smooth arrival and check-in at a hotel that has a hint of the Agatha Christie era about it, Very good facilities, restaurant and bar, and very close to many other options as well. Professional and friendly staff - and we were given a slightly later checkout at no extra cost.

To be honest, for the cost, the suite did not quite meet expectations. The upgrade I selected on Booking.com clearly stated an external seating area / balcony. Many other suites and rooms had these but we did not.

Amazing world class hotel in Hermanus.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location, with excellent service ethic by all. Spa was also amazing, well trained therapists.

The food wasn't amazing, if I ran the hotel I would work on that as it's the ONLY thing that could be improved.

a good hotel in a great location

the location of this hotel right beside the sea is wonderful and hard to beat, also all the staff were wonderful- helpful and very friendly. food was good.

rooms seemed a little dated, as did the rest of the hotel. I had higher expectations from ‘a small leading hotel’s of the world’ hotel

It is just like a home from home.

The Marine is one of our favourite hotels The staff are so lovely. Rooms are lovely. Food is lovely. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. Lovely location and views are stunning. Cannot wait to return.

This is not a five star hotel and should not be rated as such. The rooms are comfortable but modest. The building is dat

the location and proximity to the walkways along the coastline and the staff are friendly

The hotel is old and outdated. Our room was situated in a wind tunnel and the rattling windows and doors kept us awake most of the night. Dinner in the hotel was extremely poor quality. The rate per night is extremely high for the value.

Gorgeous views. Beautiful decoration. Best location to discover the coast of Hermanus. We loves the little attentions.

The lighting in the restaurant is off. It's a shame because food is tasty.
