We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again.

We had a lovely lakeview room. The location of the Abbaye is excellent and staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a great 3 night stay at the Abbaye with an amazing lakeview from our bedroom. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay at the Abbaye.

picturesque setting with charm and beauty

the Hotel is lovely with wonderful views of the water and is located in a quiet area on the water. we rented bikes and road around part of the lake and towards the mountains. it was beautiful.

Exceptional

The building is beautiful and the location right on the water is hard to beat. Added to that you are surrounded by soaring mountains.

The dining room is inside. It would be nice to eat outside on the terrace, in front of the water.

Special place to stay in Talloires

Gorgeous old abbey makes for a characterful and special place to stay . Situated on Lake Annecy with views of the lake from the room . Room was spacious and recently renovated . Easy parking on site .

An exceptionnal historical building i/ fantastic location. Unfortunately, the house is decorated without care or taste. Friendly staff.

A little effort of decoration and gardern care could transform the hôtel into a magical place. What a pity.

Would love to go back!

We loved everything, wish we had longer. Absolutely stunning position and the views in every direction were spectacular. Lots of history to read about regarding the building itself. Early October and could still swim in the lake (cold but nice)

What could have been a very enjoyable stay spoiled by the attitude of the hotel staff.

The location is stunning. The interior of the hotel is very impressive. The quality of the restaurant is excellent and the restaurant staff were very competent and pleasant. The room that we were eventually given was very good.

We were not initially allocated the room we had booked. It took over 30 minutes of pushing and turning down offers of reduced rates before miraculously a room with a balcony was reluctantly given to us. We were charged for an item from the mini bar that we did not use after our departure (only €6 but annoying) and when we asked for the glasses that my wife had left behind to be posted to us were told that it would cost us €25 (we were actually charged €35 and when I queried the charge was informed that the cost was greater than expected and included a labour charge). At no point were apologies given and the promise of a refund of the €6 was not fulfilled.

it is amongst the most beautiful locations on the lake, price too high for service level/room

the location is fantastic, the building is beautiful the lake access great

the rooms are not of a level one would expect in comparison to the rate paid per night. the room is small, bathroom very standard service level and lunch menu at the beach is poor

Fabulous location and peaceful place to stay.

fabulous location. Comfortable room and helpful staff. really enjoyed our stay here.

Restaurant closed on Monday and Tuesday when we stayed in May. Ran out of fruit and yoghurt at breakfast- as vegetarians this was disappointing. Minor points as overall it was wonderful place to stay.
