Disappointed at the level of blatant racism displayed in the service received at this posada!

The swimming pool area but we did not arrive in time to use it and in the morning it was too cold to use the pool before we left.

I was really disappointed with the check in process and overall service. I booked the room in my name, but my partner was allowed me to check in without me being there using only his ID. The girl from the restaurant proceeded to talk only to him. Never once giving me any acknowledgment. The following day at reception the same strange behaviour continued. The same girl who had checked us in never once directed any of her attention to me, no eye contact,practically turning her back on me while addressing my partner for orders. Racist, Sexist, culturally ignorant, lack of education. I have no idea what the root cause of this behaviour was. I had been really looking forward to staying in this property but it was a complete disappointment. The property was in need of a refurbish. The bin in the bathroom was completely covered in rust. The jacuzzi outer panel was no longer attached, we had to use a plaster to hold it in place. The jacuzzi itself was a lot smaller the expected and not particularly inviting. The room room decor was rather dark and I got bitten several times by mosquitoes despite applying repellent. If it’s that bad a net should have been provided.

Excellent value for money and a most enjoyable stay.

This is a lovely peaceful place to stay, extremely clean and with friendly staff. We enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant next to the Posada and the children enjoyed cooling off in the pool with a view over fields surrounded by a lovely garden.

Although I love a spa bath, I would have also liked a proper standing shower. Our kids had a shower in their room so perhaps it is possible to specify your preference.

The restaurant! The pool was also welcoming

We booked a suite (it was the only room left and we were on the Camino) but were not given the room we booked. For a start the bed was a queen sized bed not like the king sized bed promised. The room was not comfortable - we had to close the shutters as the people in the parking lot outside could look directly into the room. The toilet is not private - it is behind a thin curtain! We had no drinking water or a bar fridge or coffee making facilities in the room. We asked to speak to a manager but were told we had to send him an email. We paid euro 255 for the night and wrote to ask for at least a partial refund given that we had not been given the room we booked. Despite a follow up reminder we received no response.

Refreshing luxury along the Northern Way of the Camino

This little hotel was perfect! My friends and I walked in off the Camino anticipating auch needed luxurious stay after sixteen miles that day on the Camino and several previous nights of less than fabulous accomodations along the Way. This place did not disappoint and in fact exceeded all my expectations!!! I plan to come back and use Guemes as a base for cycling and will definitely book the same room for that!

I can't think of anything that would have improved the time I spent there.

A delightful respite for my tired Camino feet.

The view was amazing and the room so fun! Those cords on the curtain to the bathroom made me feel like I was in a palace. The terrace/ balcony was a delightful surprise! And the employees are very friendly.

You should add another option for how we got there. We came on foot on the Camino de Santiago! No car or bus for us! 🎉🎉

Great Stop in the Beautiful Hill Country!!

it is located on the Camino Del Norte, which we are following. This hotel is excellent. The hotel restaurant is also truly superb. Everything about the Posada de Guedes was superb!

A gem waiting to be discovered

Hiking 28km in the blazing heat and this welcoming oasis was an absolute pleasure to have awaiting our arrival. The rooms are beautiful with hot tubs and the pool was an amazing end to our day. The meal at the restaurant was exquisite, excellently prepared. The staff was so very friendly and informative. If you are in this area and they have space for you, just do it!!

The only suggestion I might offer is to have coffee in the room.

Stunning room in beautiful quiet location

Beautiful, large room with jacuzzi style bath. Very easy check in and the guy was very friendly. Nice, simple breakfast in the morning which was good prior to camino walk. Located in a small rural area so ideal if you want some peace and quiet.

Restaurant here was closed on our visit unfortunately as had heard the food was excellent. Minimal other options for food but we did find a restaurant 15mins walk away.

Good place to stay, very new, very quiet. Perhaps a touch high on price but it was August.

New and spacious room - great nights sleep but the shower was a little OTT. Shower is large walk in with light illumination.

Beautiful countryside, cozy room and excellent food at the restaurant.

Opened the restaurant for dinner just for us, since everything around was closed. The food was incredible and staff were so friendly. Woke up to the most incredible views of rolling green countryside. A definite countryside gem.

The shower was attached to the jacuzzi, but the ceilings were only about 5.5’ tall so not very spacious for a shower.

A wonderful stay....

I was walking on the Camino Norte. Arriving here was an amazing feeling after a long and amazing day. The property was beautiful, warm, comfortable and the bar/restaurant was spotless. Clean with simple but modern design. The young man behind the bar alone provided the best service on my entire Camino. He was exceptional. The location was ideal. Was one of my favourite stops on a 5 week journey. Highly recommended. I would stay here again.
