Why the Owner Chose Hollywood: We fell in love with the Hollywood Hills back in the mid 90s and decided to buy an old Hollywood Home built in the 1930s this year. It's a magical place with stunning views, including the Hollywood sign and it's like our own private retreat with a small bamboo forest outside our bedroom window. We both have always loved old Spanish style houses and this one exudes charm.
The Unique Benefits at this House: A view to die for. HDTV, free telephone calls across U.S. and Canada, air conditioner, kitchen includes gas cook top, microwave, toaster/oven, blender, coffee maker, all spices, pots and pans you need to cook. WiFi, broadband Internet, bamboo forest. You can call me at 647919-9977 for more information. A 3% credit card fee is added after booking is accepted.

Our stay was amazing! Just as advertised and the home was beautiful. Communication with the property owner was convenient, Debbie is almost always on hand for questions. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future stays.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house with amazing views over Burbank. The house is in a great location, close to shops, restaurants and 10 mins from both Universal Studios and Hollywood. The host was so friendly and helpful, and the house well equipped and stocked. A beautiful period property which made our stay really special. Thank you

Perfect quiet retreat overlooking the northern valley, nice sunsets, beautiful custom tile work in bathrooms and nice furnishings, overall very comfortable. I hope to stay again soon, thank you for the kindness and hospitality.

This is a historical property and one realizes it immediately upon entering the front door. The views of Hollywood and the surrounding mountains are utterly breathtaking. After taking longer than you'd expect to simply soak those in, also appreciate how much privacy the home enjoys. Continue inside and be impressed by the talavera tiling all throughout the home, as well as the immense, wood beams supporting the home. Look in the front alcove showing the home in an old black and white photo, when it was essentially all alone in the hills. Unpack, open a beverage and sit on the patio to again enjoy the views, breeze, climate - everything. Marvel at the aleppo pine just off the patio. Red tail hawks visit in the day, owls in the night. Appreciate this "Green Acre" of private property and realize Eddie Albert and Margo appreciated the same while living there. Highly recommended for a visit - enjoy your stay!

Beautiful home with a great view. You can see the Hollywood sign from the balcony. Owner is easy to work with and responds quickly.

Out of the chaos that is the Hollywood area, this is a relaxing spot with great views. If you want a neat place, just outside the action, this is your place. Really enjoyed our stay.

This location had the most amazing views of LA and was located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. I’m an LA native and this was so conveniently close to all the places I wanted to take my family for a visit. The house itself was so quaint and comfortable. Also, the host was so great to talk to and was so accommodating. We can’t wait to come back.

Really lovely stay. The home is super cozy and has everything you need, but the view- WOW. Unreal. Owners are very easy to communicate with and helpful. Highly recommend!

What a unique experience to stay in this fantastic home on a private lot with a breathtaking view of Universal City. We loved sipping coffee and wine on the patio in the lush surroundings. The house had everything we could need and we were very comfortable. A great place to unwind a rest after long days in Universal Hollywood.

My family had a fun and relaxing stay at this wonderful home. It's a cozy retreat with wonderful views. Close enough to plenty of activities that the area has to offer, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle when you're ready to rest. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will book for longer next time.

We enjoyed our three nights at Debbie’s place. The property is quiet and secure whilst being only a six minute drive from Universal Studios. It was great to take a break from the hectic pace of LA and take in the fabulous views from the house and gardens.
The house looks exactly as it does in the photos with an old Hollywood charm.

This was our 2nd stay at Casa Colinas. The property is just how we remembered. The location cannot be beat and the LA traffic is worth it for the absolutely amazing view! Hosts are great at communicating and so helpful. 5 stars

This was our second stay at this beautiful property and we will always come back. Communication with Debbie is always outstanding. Cleanliness was to the highest standard and everything was very well stocked. The A/C was divine as we are not fans of hot hot weather. The kindness shown to us by Debbie and Rick was unparalleled. You cannot go wrong here and we were very sad to leave.

This was our second visit to this lovely home, which has all the amenities required for a happy vacation. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful place once again. Eating breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine with that amazing scenery, or gazing at the lights of the city after dark, are joyful experiences which we will treasure. All the tourist sites of Los Angeles are within reach but the house is nestled up in the hills in a peaceful location with a glorious view, so that the visitor has the best of both worlds.
The hosts are really helpful and genuinely care about the comfort of their guests. It has been a real pleasure to communicate with Debbie and Richard, and we appreciate their kindness. If we get the chance to come to Los Angeles again, this will definitely be the first place that we will check for availability. We warmly recommend this rental without hesitation!

Our family really enjoyed our time at the property. The home was very clean and beautiful. The views were absolutely amazing! The owners of the property were a pleasure to speak with. All of the parks and activities were In close proximity. We had a fantastic stay and will recommend this property to all.

This was a picture-perfect property for our family trip to LA. The home has amazing 1930s charm along with all the modern updates you need for a comfortable stay. Both bedrooms had generously sized closets along with drawers and shelves, so it was easy to settle in for our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with nice dishes and cookware, and there was a good supply of kitchen and cleaning essentials (like nonstick spray, coffee filters, dish soap, garbage bags, cleaning sprays, etc.). It was hands-down the cleanest rental we’ve stayed at, and Debbie was easily accessible for any questions.
Of course, the primary reason you should stay here is the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience this location. The home is on a stunning, winding street in the Hollywood Hills. Crossing through the front gate is like entering a secret garden in a world that is all your own. The views from the main patio are unbelievable and even better than pictured. We enjoyed our coffee from the window seat every morning and sat on the patio in awe every evening, taking in the mountains around us and the city lights below.
The location was insanely convenient for all our planned adventures which included Universal Studios, an Angels game, a Dodgers game, Angels Flight, Grand Central Market, whale watching, the Hollywood Bowl, the Walk of Fame, Runyon Canyon, the La Brea Tar Pits, Santa Monica Beach, Point Dume, Malibu Beach, and countless beautiful drives in between. We’d absolutely stay again!

It was a wonderful home with an incredible view over the city. This view can be enjoyed during dinner or relaxing on the terrace. The house has an ideal parking. The kitchen is well equipped. The neighborhood is safe and the house is located in a quiet area. Everything worked very well with Debbie. We will be back again!

I loved the classic Hollywood hills home . It felt like we were staying in the golden age of the 60/70s with a beautiful view overlooking the city . Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful stay over the 4th of July, visiting Universal and Warner Brothers studios among other local landmarks. The location is convenient to so much and yet removed enough to allow some time for relaxing peace and quiet. Based on a recommendation from a friendly neighbor out walking his dog, we watched fireworks from the balcony/deck where we could see displays from all over the valley. The Universal Studios fireworks view was perfect. You can't go wrong staying here.

This home was very clean, had everything we could need and by far the best view. The curvy drive is well worth it.

The property was immaculate with spectacular views! Plenty of outdoor and indoor spaces to relax and enjoy the wonderful California weather.
The owners were fantastic to communicate with, and very responsive!
Highly recommend, and definitely would return when in the area again.

My husband has a love for old movies, so we finally planned a trip to Hollywood. To complete the feel, we were looking for a place in the Hollywood Hills that would be reminiscent of the time period. And Wow! We couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. It embodied the exact feel we were looking for. The pictures don’t do it justice! Once we stepped beyond the gate, we felt we stepped back into Old Hollywood. It felt secluded, yet close to everything. The views were spectacular….. our first morning having coffee, we had a buck walk past the kitchen window, down the hill. Our only regret of the trip is that we didn’t plan for more down time to enjoy the house more. Can’t wait to go back!!

The view is beyond spectacular. The French windows with light coming in from all directions. The beautiful tile.
This is such an unusual place in the best way and we are definitely going to come back in the future. In fact we can’t imagine staying any other place in Los Angeles in the future.
Communication with the owner Debbie was outstanding.
There is a reason it has gotten consistently high ratings. Because it deserves consistently high ratings.
Did I mention the spectacular view.. We never turned the TV on we were there because the view was enthralling!

What a beautiful experience. A lovely home in a gorgeous community with an amazing view! The owner left us a list of amazing restaurants. It was down the road from Universal Studios. We had a great vacation! I highly recommend!

We loved our stay! Debbie’s communication was outstanding! We appreciated all her helpful tips as well.
This property’s location could not be better. We were minutes from Hollywood, Universal Studios, and Warner bros. studios. We gained valuable time because our commutes to all locations were so short.
The view is what really stands out with this beautiful home. Panoramic views out to the mountain range and to the city below were spectacular. This location also offered a nice peaceful retreat at the end of our busy days.
We will definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is on the top of a very big hill and has amazing views of Hollywood. You can see the Hogwarts castle at universal from the deck! The property is spacious and our family of 5 fit comfortably around the dining table. Beds were comfortable and the house was really well equipped with everything you need for cooking. We only cooked breakfast, but you could certainly cook dinner at the house.
We picked this house due to it's proximity to universal studios and it worked out great.... 10 minutes drive door to door. Make sure you are comfortable driving on narrow, winding roads, and I would try to arrive the first night before dark, if possible, to orient yourself. The French bakery at the bottom of the hill is fantastic and they are so nice there. The house is also right next to Runyon canyon, which is beautiful for walking/running and really close to the Hollywood stars/Chinese theatre/etc. We really enjoyed our stay!
