Superb

Amazing breakfast with a large variety of delicacies prepared by the owner. Good bus service to the centre of Dresden so no need to drive to see the centre.

At the time of our stay, construction work was underway on a nearby house, so the noise of a drill could be heard from the morning. This is not the fault of the owners and unfortunately there was nothing they could have done at the time. Hopefully the neighbours will have the external insulation finished soon.

Delicious home-made breakfast and wonderful staff. Clean room that has everything that one needs for a short stay. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Many thanks to Mrs. Iris :)

I highly recommend this place!

The stay was amazing! The building is old and has its own charm and history. But at the same time, the apartment was clean and cozy. The apartment is located in a quiet area, but not too far from the city center. Perfect if you want to escape from the city noise. The host was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very tasty with enough options. The parking was free. As a bonus, we had a chance to play with Belle - a super-friendly and lovely dog. The weather was cold during our stay so we didn't benefit from the terrace and garden but going to enjoy it next time.

Cozy weekend in the beautiful surroundings of Dresden

I really liked how cured the house is and the homemade breakfast. The area is incredibly beautiful and the bed is really comfortable. We had an amazing view on the courtyard. There is a bus stop nearby and we didn't have any problem even if we were without a car.

Incredible breakfast and service!

Everything is great, but Frau Dunger's friendliness and incredible service is something you won't find in a 5-star hotel. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for what we had planned by car, 15min from downtown Dresden, 30min from Sächsische Schweiz, 1h30 from Prague. The highlight is breakfast, with a variety of delicious things (scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit salad, variety of cold cuts and breads), all well prepared and with love down to the last detail by Frau Dunger. It's an amazing breakfast experience in a very cozy atmosphere. I recommend it to everyone.

The window curtain could be a little darker but that becomes irrelevant next to the quality of all the other things the stay offers.

Super friendly host who provided excellent and useful information how to reach the city center with public transportation. The breakfast was the best we had in the last 14 days of our holiday trip. Absolute recommendable place to be when you would like to explore Dresden and area around the town.

Straight out of a Dream

Beautiful home and neighborhood. The style of the pension looks straight out of a fairytale. My room was charmingly decorated, as was the breakfast area. Everything was sparklingly clean as well. Breakfast is a feast. There was bread, cake, fruit, cheese, vegetables, salads, meats, olives, pickles, jams, butter, hard cooked eggs, homemade pate-like spreads, and of course coffee, tea, milk and orange juice. All this was combined with Iris’ kind hospitality. Amazing deal for the price.

The only difficult thing about Elbhangzimmer is the distance from Dresden center. It takes about an hour to get to Dresden Hbf. You will have to ride a ferry (warning, the ferry stops running at 8 pm) to cross the Elbe. Still, given enough planning, this shouldn’t be an issue.
