Visit the Bavarian Alps replica town of Helen, Georgia nestled in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia. This area was once home to the mighty Cherokee. When settled by Europeans in the 1800's it became the site of the first U.S. gold rush. Then later became the quaint little German town it is today.
Come during late September through the end of October to not only enjoy the changing leaves, but also experience the Oktoberfest celebrations!
Our home is also an excellent place of respite for the adventurer! There are countless hiking trails, excellent roads for mountain biking, exceptional trout fishing waters, and more waterfalls than you can see on one trip.
Fun for the whole family too, with a waterpark, zip line adventures, horseback riding, river tubing, mini-golf, gold & gem mining, award-winning vineyards, a local brewery, unique shops, amish bakeries, antiquing, great local & German cuisine, and much more!
Our mountain chalet was built in 2005. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living spaces, and a kitchen and dining area. There's more than 1000 sq. ft. of wrap around porches to take in the majestic mountain views. When you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer, slip into the hot tub with a glass of wine or make s'mores in the camp fire out back.
There is a smart doorbell installed by the front door with audio and video recording capabilities for security purposes.

We had an amazing time. It’s perfect distance and central to many locations; minutes from Helen, trails, tubing, the sliding rock and many more. The house was clean, beautiful, and spacious. The family and kids loved the fire pit, hot tub, and greatly appreciated the s’mores gift left by our wonderful hosts. The hosts were very attentive, caring, and easy to communicate with. 5 ⭐️s all around!!

We stayed for 5 nights/6 days and from the time we arrived, we immediately felt relaxed. Beautiful scenery & perfect accommodations for our family (ages 25-55). Even with the rain, we could sit on the covered back porch and just enjoy the hot tub, gorgeous mountain view and each other’s company. The fire pit and the outside games were a fun experience as well for us. The drive into Helen, for tubing and restaurants/shopping, or hiking to the Falls was so easy and beautiful. Our family definitely plans to re-book again in the future.

This house was perfect for my family to have a long weekend and unwind. The view is beautiful! It was very private and felt remote but was only a short distance to Helen. We even got to see a bear on our last day there! Perfect ending to a perfect vacation.

Ritz on the Rocks is a beautiful property. The views are spectacular. Everything you need is here. Plenty of room for our party of 6. We had packed several kitchen items, but we shouldn’t have. They had everything you would need, including a propane grill. It was a home away from home. Helen was only a short ride away and Cleveland too. I would absolutely recommend this property for your next getaway.

The place is beautiful and well kept. The views were amazing - beautiful sunsets over the mountains. Plenty of amenities - hot tub, games, WiFi, etc. location is great - easy to Cleveland for groceries, easy to Helen and other points of interest. If we come back to this area, then I can’t imagine wanting to stay anywhere else!

The magic is in the details and this property has a ton of magic! The location is great, we come to the area multiple times a year and never stay on this side of the mountain and was really happy to be so close to great hikes, wineries and downtown Helen. The property is gorgeous and the views were so stunning it did not look real. The owners are great and really paid attention to the details. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and baskets with extra blankets. The welcome binder has all the information you could ever need so there are no questions on where to go and what to do and plenty of space for a big group. Five stars all the way!

Our large group (10) had a wonderful Christmas at Ritz on the Rocks. There was plenty of room for everyone and because it rained our whole stay, we hunkered down inside and had a great time playing games, enjoying the hot tub, eating and drinking. We were able to squeeze in a short fire pit visit (and made s'mores) before the rain started our first night at the house, would have used more except for the downpours! Finally saw the beautiful view the morning we were leaving, might have to return to take full advantage of this great spot! Thanks for your hospitality!

It’s hard to believe but the view is even better than the photos! 180 degree views all across the wrap around deck. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. The property is well equipped and even had firewood and s’more’s ready and waiting! Only 10 minutes from Helen and 30 minutes from Dahlonega. Truly a lovely cabin with breathtaking Mountain View’s.

Pretty much just a great place all around, especially for a pet friendly place. Our dog never gets to come on these family trips with us and loved getting to explore around the cabin. Great location close to wineries, breweries, safari park, Helen, and Dahlonega. Very comfortable house with amazing views!

This is a beautiful and cozy home just 10 minutes from Helen, surrounded with gorgeous views! Highly recommend staying here but want to give a heads up to their next guest. If you’re needing food, water or alcohol I’d start looking for a store 30-45mins before arrival. There was a gas station 10-15mins away but they did not have wine😢 just beer, but we made due
Also, the climb to the house is steep but doable. My brother had a small KIA and made it no trouble…it’s definitely worth it all! If you want a mountain view it’s to be expected and honestly the area alone is nothing but hills
Thanks for putting out a complimentary s’more kit and making sure we had plenty of firewood! Just an FYI..the firewood is $5, which I will pay any day to not have to bring my own or source

We stayed at the property with my 2 adult boys, my mom who is a senior and our dog Dash. We had a wonderful stay. I just loved the views from the decks - it was very peaceful and relaxing. The house was very spacious for the 5 of us . The views from everywhere were amazing. Property was very clean. Mitch was very responsive and kept in touch. My mom was able to use the bedroom on the main floor with the bathroom, not being able to do the staircase. House was well stocked. We had a great time and it wasnt far from Helen so that was great too. Highly recommend.

Our family stayed at this property to visit the waterfalls of the area. The house was clean and very well cared for. I loved that the amazing view from the porch was a sunset view rather than a sunrise view. Mitch was incredible! The dishwasher went out during our stay and Mitch had it swapped out the same day.

We faced some unsanitary conditions (unwashed bedsheets) and home was not fully cleaned before our arrival (Unwashed bedsheets-found long hairs in bed, dead fly; Pull out couch mattress dirt & toenail; Upon arrival: Loaded dishwasher of all Dirty dishes, did not have enough clean utensils for dinner night of check in, Dirty cooking pans put away in cabinet as if clean, used kitchen sponge w/ human hair in it, Unwashed, dirty coffee pot, Dirty night stands, tubs w/ soap scum and some mold, Thick! layers of dust on decorative items in kitchen above cooking area, LL tub/shower didn’t drain properly due to visible slimy-mold clogging it, leaking kitchen faucet, Washing machine sour/mildew smelling, Much of exterior back decking worn and needs replacing-some screws sticking up, wood railing pieces coming off; appliances worn). Host asked for positive reviews and any feedback be shared ‘outside the review’ in email/phone. I believe non-vindictive, honesty important in reviews, as vacationrental owners too. told host of concerns with supporting photos/videos within 24 hrs of check in. We were refunded $200 cleaning fee. Host said shared issues with cleaning co. Prompt communication. And, we felt frustration, disappointment & sometimes disgust with uncleanliness, doing what we could to clean & wash bedding ourselves and enjoy our family trip celebrating 50th wedding anniv. and a 40th bday.

With incredible views, this cabin is situated in the perfect spot. It is a short, easy drive to everything the area has to offer in Helen, Cleveland, Sautee Nacoochee and the surrounding area. Lots of great hikes and sights in Smithgall Woods State park which is less than 5 minutes away. There are multiple nearby wineries and the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center is well worth a visit for pottery and folk art lovers. The hosts are great and more than willing to provide recommendations, insights and guidance during your stay.

This property is beautiful and perfectly located to enjoy the Helen area and the amazing mountain views. My husband and I brought my 81 year old disabled father and our senior Border Collie, Dash, to come see Helen and Anna Ruby Falls just for the weekend. Dad had a perfect entry level bedroom and bathroom for his needs. He uses a rollator and had no issues getting around on the main floor. I truly appreciated the shower chair in his bedroom closet as we forgot his. Very nice to remember for your guests.
The large den and kitchen area is gorgeous with an amazing view of the mountains from every level of the home.
This is a perfect place for couples and children with the bedrooms and bathrooms set up very well for privacy and togetherness.
There is a nice fire pit with firewood available and a horseshoe pit for outdoor enjoyment. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day at the falls.
We really enjoyed our stay. Even though it was short, we would absolutely come back to this property and bring some more folks to enjoy it with us.

About 5 years ago my husband and I moved out to the PNW with work and left our family back in the southeast. This was an opportunity for all of us to get together. The house was beautiful and with 9 of us we had plenty of room. The views of the Smoky Mountains was fantastic as well. The property is also located in a great spot that was close to both Helen and Cleveland. Finally the owners were so kind and reached out to check on us which we really appreciated. We hope to do this again with our family and would definitely stay here again.

This place is a hidden gem. So much room and so many amenities. View from master in 3rd floor was unbeatable. Covered areas allowed us to sit outside even when it rained. Fire pit was cozy and convenient. Jacuzzi was clean and worked well. Lots of pots and pans. Christmas tree was a beautiful touch. Lots of towels and even a washer and dryer with detergent! Huge downstairs room with 2 bedrooms and a comfortable bunk bed! S’mores ingredients and a lot of towels. Tv in master is very small, but I was happy to have one. Host was excellent and attentive. No problems at all while we were there. It was so relaxing. Thank you for everything.

We were three couples celebrating 60th and 70th birthdays and the house was perfect for our 3 night stay. Each couple had their own space/floor with separate bathrooms. Kitchen was fully equipped with anything you would need for cooking… there were tons of dishes, glasses, coffee cups, etc. There were extra trash bags, dish liquid, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet tissue and plenty of towels. The only thing we really needed was paper towels and we did have to hand wash silverware because there wasn’t that much of it. The fireplace was on a timer and was simple to turn on. One couple used the hot tub and said it was great. There were extra towels for it as well. We had rainy weather so didn’t get to take advantage of the fire pit but there were 8 chairs around it so it would have been nice. The cabin had a great view and would be fabulous in “leaf season”. The road to the cabin and driveway was paved and parking was ample for our 3 cars and it was easy to get in and out of. We were less than 5 miles to Helen so it was perfect for shopping and people watching from King Ludwig Biergarten. Also close to Cleveland for groceries and such. Rental process was very easy and the owners checked in with us after we arrived. The instruction binder told us all we needed to know about the house rules and check out process. Overall the accommodations and experience were great and we would stay here again!

This mountain home in Cleveland, Georgia was the perfect mountain getaway! The views were the most beautiful we have ever seen from a place we’ve stayed. The home is big enough (with 3 levels) to give guests plenty of room so as to not be on top of each other and to allow for privacy if wanted.
We enjoyed this time so much with our adult children and plan on rebooking in the future. The host, Mitch, was very quick to check in and reply to any questions. Try it out! You will be glad you did!

We had a great time at this marvelous cabin. Great location, close to Helen and so many trails. The beds were extremely comfortable, clean and it really had a lot of indoor and outdoor living space..
Bring your seasonings including salt and pepper , knives, and favorite cookware. They have a slow cooker and s’more sticks, and everything you need if you aren’t planning to make intricate meals .

This house comes equipped with anything you may need, no need to bring anything but yourself. The views from the 3rd floor balcony are beautiful!
If you have small children, or bring a pet please be aware near the side entrance steps there is a gap between the concrete wall, and the deck, our dog fell. The gap leads to the bottom floor patio of the home, and is a 9 ft drop. I have no complaints on this property, just a concern for littles.

The owners of this property go overboard trying to make your stay as wonderful as possible. We really appreciated that and it made us feel as if we were staying at a friends home.
The views of the mountains from the rear of the home and decks were perfect. You can sit on the couch and look out of the window and feel comforted by the views at every glance.
The home is spacious and would be very nice for larger groups. It was also decorated nicely and had TV's in every room.
Location is close to Cleveland and Helen. I bet it was 10 min from Helen. So if you go to Octoberfest or like Helen this a perfect place to stay.
