• Prior to arrival, guests notify our concierge of a chosen dinner (for when they arrive at the house), and breakfast for the following morning from the Chef’s menu.

Amazing Home!
Family trip with adult siblings, spouses and our parents. Out of this world views, pristine home that is superbly laid out and accommodating with en suite bathrooms, patios and king or double queen bedrooms. The house concierge, chefs, maintenance and housekeeping crew are unbelievable and incredibly professional. Be prepared to be blown away by the meals prepared by your private chef. Wildlife experiences right off the patio with monkeys, macaws, sloths and iguanas. We felt entirely spoiled. We absolutely will be back! Thank you Vista Hermosa staff.

Comfortable getaway- feels like you're at home
Vista Hermosa is a beautiful property and location. The chef prepared the most incredible meals for our large group. The concierge happily coordinated all of our activities and even shifted items around throughout the week as needed. We highly recommend this vacation rental- we would definitely visit again. We absolutely loved this property! It was beautiful and so well kept. Everything was organized and clean and the staff were all top notch. Any request was handled and there were no issues with meals or schedules. Major props to both Susan and the chefs who had us eating like royalty all week. I would highly recommend this house!

Most spectacular vacation we’ve ever taken.
The property was absolutely beautiful! No detail was left out. Every room was comfortable and our entire family enjoyed every bit of the estate. It’s within walking distance to the beach and also walking distance to cute little boutiques just up the street.

Spectacular from start to finish
Everything about our experience at Vista Hermosa significantly exceeded our expectations. The owner, Dave, was incredibly helpful with keeping us updated on everything in Costa Rica prior to our trip. Susan, our concierge, was available up to and during our trip to answer any and all our questions and help coordinate and schedule everything for my family to have a stress-free vacation.
The property is absolutely breathtaking. The views are second to none. The house has everything you might need and is perfectly laid out to accommodate large groups, but still intimate for smaller parties as well.
Our chef, and the meals he prepared, rivaled the best restaurants in the states. His service and attention to our needs were incredible. It was a huge highlight of our trip.
The housekeeping staff were so sweet and kept everything immaculate. They did our laundry and cleaned the entire property every single day.
The walk to the beach was a breeze. I think they say 15-20 minutes walk, but we made it back up the hill from the beach in 9 minutes at a normal pace. We saw multiple species of monkeys including on our deck in the mornings. Our housekeeper, Gabi, spotted a Sloth in the tree next to the house and we watched him move from tree to tree all day too.
Everything about Vista Hermosa and Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica were so much better than we were expecting. You can't go wrong with this place! Highly, Highly Recommended! We can't wait to come back!

WOW! Amazing house, staff and views...
Everything from the review of the property description to the actual booking was great start. Upon booking we received communication from the owner that the concierge would contact to schedule arrival pick up and help with planning our stay including meals/drinks and any excursion. The communication throughout arrival date was prompt and thorough. When we arrived at the airport our transportation was coordinated and on time. Once we arrived at the house Susan the concierge met us with a binder/book that was detailed out with the entire stay mapped out to the “T”. We were in AWE when the Dora opened to the house and we seen the view and entire house. We had a party of 20 and the house was just the right size to house us comfortably. Now for the best part was chef Javier and his assistant. The cooking was AMAZING and we did not want to leave or eat any place else. Overall I will be back and I highly recommend this house to anyone and everyone. Thank you

Amazing Vacation
For our entire group of 16, this house was not only everything we hoped it to be, but also exceeded our expectations. Javier and Jose made delicious meals and were absolutely wonderful people. Isabella and the rest of the team that kept the house in perfect condition were a pleasure and they even spotted a sloth in the tree and a whale in the ocean for us all to see. Susan helped get all the excursions booked and coordinate extra needs once we were there. It was a unanimous decision, we will all be back again!

Best vacation I have ever experienced.
We arrived at Vista Hermosa with 5 other couples, our expectations were high since we currently live in paradise Oahu, but after carefully reviewing all the properties that fit our criteria in Manual Antonio, and decided on this one based on all the 5 star reviews. I'm so happy we booked it since their calendar is pretty full.
From the first moment you enter the villa your jaw will drop. The pictures can not come close to doing anything about Vista Hermosa justice, it is 10 times better in person! The sweeping ocean views are breathtaking, the house is exquisite in every way, Private Chef Javier prepared delicious healthy fresh meals that were better than any restaurant around, we were spoiled in every way, the beach is a quick 10 min. walk down the private trail and it is beautiful and quiet besides the sounds of nature. Another quick walk 15 minutes to town for plenty of bars,restaurants and some shopping, then back at the villa to relax. All the guest rooms have balconies with amazing ocean views and top social area upstairs with the Infinity pool is absolutely addicting. You can look at that view all day long! I never stopped taking pictures. There are plenty of activities available which Susan can help you plan and book with ease, Manual Antonio is a quaint and Charming town and Vista Hermosa is a must travel to destination. Highly Recommended if you want a no stress couples get away. Can't wait to someday come back to this little place of paradise. My wife is already planning our return trip.

Perfect Place for a Perfect Stay!
What an amazing place and unforgettable experience. I stayed here for about a week with a group of 15 or so family and friends.
Perfect location. There's a private path down to Playitas Beach and it's in a pretty walkable area in general, within walking distance of bars, restaurants, and a market. We were also able to use Uber which was convenient.
Loved the infinity pool. As others have mentioned, Chef Javier was awesome. I have dietary restrictions and Javier was very accommodating.
There's laundry service as well, so we were able to pack light. Susan the concierge helped us book the tours we did (highly recommend the ATV tour), a couples massage, and a shuttle to the airport. We chewed our own food, but pretty much everything else was taken care of for us!

80th birthday family trip
It was a beautiful home and perfect place for the 16 members of my family. It was perfection. Susan did a great job of seeing to our needs and went out of her way to take care of our needs. The meals were outstanding and works so well with taking care of our different needs. Maybe I’ll be back on my 90th Birthday.

WHAT AN AMAZING YOGA VENUE!!!!!!
Pure Zen........My yoga instructor fortunately found this amazing venue. This beautiful villa definitely exceeded our expectations!! It is totally like a 5-star resort with fine dining, gorgeous views and immaculate furnishings. Organic fresh gourmet cuisine served daily by Chef Javier (did I mention the great wine selection, wow!). We decided not to do all of the yoga classes as sometimes we just wanted to relax in an unspoiled, tropical place and enjoy its breathtaking views. The town is perfect, full of great restaurants, night life and shopping. The beaches were gorgeous, clean with lots of little local restaurants and lots of beach activities along the 3 mile stretch. The spa services and the massage therapists were wonderful (ask for the "Pure Bliss" massage you will never forget. I cannot say enough about the beauty of this place. The owners have created an ultimate oasis. Not much I have seen compares to the beauty and comforts of this retreat venue and I've been to a few in Mexico, Bali, Nicaragua, and Vista Hermosa is now my favorite of them all. I also learned to surf thanks to my phenomenal instructor and the perfect waves.
Overall, we had the time of our lives. It is my hope to return one day soon!! There's such an energy, warmth and eternal beauty in Manuel Antonio. The natural beauty combined with the care and love shown by the entire staff is second to none. It made it hard to say goodbye to such an exceptional staff and let's not forget the heavenly meals!!! Thanks again to our concierge Susan for coordinating everything for us, Javi our culinary master and the rest of the staff. I hope to return in the near future.

We enjoyed relaxing by the infinity pool, walking to the private beach and had an awesome massage, also enjoyed the wildlife in the area. I would highly recommend it and can 't wait to go back.

Amazing Experience!!!!!
This house could not be more perfect. There was plenty of space for our group of 20. Many of us would go on excursions during the day, which Susan the house consierge helped coordinate. We'd all meet back at the pool and enjoy the amazing views. Chef Javi was incredible and would cook the most amazing meals for us. We also had our wedding reception at the house and it worked perfectly. I would highly highly recommend this house.

Amazing spot
Everything about Vista Hermosa Estate is wonderful. The staff goes above and beyond, and the chef is fantastic. We had two professional chefs in our group and were impressed with Javier’s skills. The house is immaculate and there is plenty of space for everyone. We had 10 adults and 5 children and it was easy enough to have privacy. The house is amazingly quiet as well, I was worried about the kids waking the other adults up, but when they were in the game room or even a closed bedroom they were not disturbing at all. The views are some of the best in the area. The private trail to the beach is absolutely beautiful, so much wildlife! We saw monkeys every day. The beach itself is a quiet spot with plenty of shade and we all just loved it. A truly fabulous place to have a vacation of a lifetime. You have the opportunity to really relax, even with young kids (our five were ages 4-7). Susan, the concierge will answer any questions you have and arrange any excursions or taxis that you need. If you want to have a vacation that is in a beautiful spot, is relaxing, you eat well, you have the opportunity for adventure, and where you don’t have to worry about a thing, look no further Vista Hermosa Estate is the spot!!!

Absolutely Beautiful
The ocean view was absolutely stunning and the view of the water, will never get old. All of the Rooms have a balcony with views of the ocean. The rooms are spacious with various amenities. The staff was helpful and friendly. If you do not speak Spanish and they do not speak English Google Translate worked well for us.
Susan, the concierge, did an excellent job..she was timely on everything associated with planning of transportation, activities, spa services, and meals for the first day and breakfast for the first morning. As for the tours, we gave her 4 different excursions the day before the 1st excursion and she booked them all within hours. She also gave us a tour of the house and information on securing the house.
Javier, the Chef..what can i say..the food was Absolutely amazingly good . On the last day Javi out did himself, the Surf and Turf and all of the sides were so delicious. Can't wait to visit Vista Hermosa Estates again.

We LOVE this location! We've held two retreats at Vista Hermosa, and will be coming back again in 2020. By far, one of the most beautiful locations we've ever used. The staff is amazing - Chef Javier can cater to whatever dietary restrictions you may have, and does so with a smile and cheerful personality! Susan is an amazing resource for arranging anything you may need - from shuttles, to excursions, to massages, to honestly anything else! 50th in the Jungle
Vista Hermosa was a perfect place to have my 50th Birthday. 10 couples arrived to spend the week together. We all fell in love with this gorgeous home. The best way to describe how well this house works even for 20 of us. Our day would start with early risers pressing start on the coffee makers ready to go. Slowly people would gather drinking coffee and watching and listening to the Jungle waking up. Two days we had yoga which was amazing to start the day off. Then we had a wonderful breakfast. Splitting the day with time on the beautiful beach and then heading back to the house for cocktails and appetizers up by the pool. Enjoying the beauty of the sunset. Javier and his mom made us wonderful meals and brought our group together every night. After dinner we spent it by the bar area sometimes dancing under the lights. The bedrooms were a nice getaway to recharge with beautifully appointed rooms. Some took advantage of the many opportunities of activities nearby and enjoyed those adventures. It was a magical place that we will all remember. We hope to come back in the future.

Our new favorite place
The building is very well constructed. I am not sure how old but it seems less than a year. Everything works and nice touches such as disco lights on the top floor and built in stereo etc. Tall curl wings and glass walls in each bedroom. Fantastic showers.
We timed the walk up from the beach at 6 minutes, but always hot and sweaty. Hit the outside showers, then fall in the pool. 104 steps up plus the inclines. Doable, but sweaty. Yesterday we saw 4 capuchins, 5 howlers, 2 hummingbirds, and one sloth on the walk down and back.
Walking to or in town is not the best, so doing that I would really not advise. But the big waterfall tour and zip line tour were our favorites.
We had a group of 18 and it work very well.
I would say more, but suffice it to say this, we have done Vrbo to st Martin several time, Fiji, France, Italy , and this place and building and staff are top notch.
Bring: water shoes, binoculars, handkerchief for your face if you go atv, 12 bottles of sun screen. Keep your stuff close as people will swipe it (there is a guard outside the house at night, but we always felt safe)

Amazing stay at the luxury estate. We were excited to have a chef for some of our meals but he ended up exceeding our expectations and felt entirely confident our meals would be better in house than trying to find another place any better - fell in love with Javier and his lovely Mama. OMG - I Already booked next visit!
My 5th visit to CR and first to VHE ... Spent 2 weeks at Vista Hermosa Estate and if you are considering, read on AND do not hesitate or your week(s) will be booked. Fist week was a Yoga Retreat all women 22-72 years old, second week 6 couples, all 50+ David was great with booking, process was simple and he was quick to reply with my questions....next up Susan, our concierge and she handled every detail with ground transport and excursions....had a few snafus with late flights (mother nature) and people wanting to come early and book hotels, she handled all seamlessly, get the What's App App on your phone - a HUGE help to have in CR. Next was Javier, his wife Karina and his mother Marjorie, 5 Star menus - OMG! If I said much about them U would be in tears and exceed limit on words for a review - LOL bot seriously. The house keepers were amazing as were grounds keeper, maintenance, and security. This house exceeded expectations. Very few houses with all bedrooms having bathrooms for an over 5 Bedroom place AND to have dining area air conditioned.

I highly recommend this house! This was our first visit to Manuel Antonio and must say it exceeded our expectations and has made our trip a most memorable one. Vista Hermosa is a well-appointed gated estate that was obviously built with an incredible amount of loving care. It is set within well-manicured landscaping and has a very outdoor patio area with breathtaking ocean views that was perfect for our outdoor entertaining. The concierge service was easily available and on call to answer our questions and provide local recommendations to ensure that our stay was perfect. The food cooked by the chef was delicious and the service was short of spectacular. Five stars is really not enough to describe our family's wonderful experience, we were 22 ranging in age and must say everyone had a fantastic time enjoying the house, the views, the location!

Perfect choice for our family vacation. The luxurious property is well kept and it’s ideal location was perfect to keep teenage children and adults entertained (and there were many of us). The swimming pool is amazing! We felt very much at home. The location is ideal for exploring the town, including Manuel Antonio National Park. But, the best part of our trip was spending the day at the beach, just a short walk down a private walkway. Everything about this vacation was hassle free including booking excursions and getting around the town. We were pampered by Chef and Sous Chef. We will definitely be back and soon!

Don't know where exactly I should start. This home exceeded my expectations. It provided such a luxurious service since day 1. I call it home because it was very cozy and welcoming. The chef and his wonderful assistant KARINA were incredibly amazing with their top notch service. Karina accommodated every meal request I would ask as I was the only pescaterian in my group. My favorite part of the house were showers! You may be asking "why?," but the view from the shower window was unbelievably breath-taking. There are so many wonderful things I could say about the house, the grounds, the views and the jungle setting but the exceptional service given by the house staff that included the chef, the maids and the concierge respectively, really make one's stay at this vacation home an unforgettable one. Upon arrival, Shionna warmly welcomed us for the tour of the house, patiently answered all our questions while we familiarized ourselves with the house. She set the tone for a wonderful week with my family of 22 people ranging from ages 11 to 72. We were all extremely comfortable and the house suited all our needs plus exceeded our expectations. Chef Javier prepared amazing beautiful world class meals and catered to our dietary needs and budget with ease. We had the most beautiful view from every room of the house, but my favorite is the way the glass walls of the living room opens up and allows for wonderful outdoor living with perfect ocean breezes. Every single family member loved the infinity edge pool with endless hours of lounging and relaxing in the pool made this house perfect for our group. The house, the beach access we could walk to the beach in a quick 10 minutes or to town in 10 minutes as well. Vista Hermosa had everything we needed. It was just perfect. All I could wish for after my week stay is that we had booked it longer. I can't wait to come back.

Staying at the Vista Hermosa Estate was like staying at our own private hotel! Upon arrival we were instantly impressed by the architecture and beautiful design. This place is breathtaking! It was by far the most relaxing vacation. I didn't have to grocery shop, cook, clean, and our laundry was even done for us! Shiona was our concierge and was so great. She was always a phone call away if we needed anything. I called for a few groceries and they were delivered to us in less than 10 minutes! She was so helpful and knowledgeable with the area as well. Javier and Karina were our own private chefs. They did the grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning! They were a dynamic duo in the kitchen. Every meal was beautifully plated and delicious! Desserts were to die for. Not only were Javier and Karina amazing cooks, they were great people too. They felt like part of our family by the time we left. Judith and Isabel were such sweet ladies who kept our rooms nice and clean. They even did our laundry if we wanted them to.
The excursions were great. But honestly, we were perfectly fine staying at the Estate. We really enjoyed the beach. They had everything we needed including boogie boards. The beaches were beautiful and the walk down to the beach through the jungle was pretty incredible. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It exceeded all of our expectations. I just had the most wonderful vacation while staying and relaxing at Vista Hermosa Estate. The house itself is amazing and has beautiful views of the beach with beautiful rooms and amenities, but the people made it perfect. Javier and Karina, our talented chefs, Judith and Isabel our housekeepers, Shiona, our concierge, words cannot convey the hospitality they provide the house guests. My family had the pleasure of staying at Vista Hermosa Estate in Beautiful Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. My husband, myself and our 3 children ages 20, 18 and 11, had the most AMAZING vacation EVER! Vista Hermosa Estate offers something for all ages. I have never experienced the luxury that Vista Hermosa offered to us during our week long stay. The accommodations are first class! The view of the jungle and ocean from all areas of the house will take your breath away. My family spent many long moments just staring at the spectacular view and the wildlife that makes the nearby treetops and jungle their homes and playground. You can spend hours watching the monkeys, and various colorful birds, at eyelevel from the 4th floor deck. We even spotted a sloth that spent several days in a tree on the property! The top level deck infinity edge pool is the perfect spot to relax with a drink, observing the view and the animal activities. The home is enormous with plenty of space, high end fixtures and amenities to make your stay unforgettable. The private chefs, Javier and Karina, will make delicious meals to accommodate your tastes and desires. The ability to relax at this gorgeous estate and have delicious, professionally cooked meals of your choice, served to you without having to go out to restaurants or cook yourself, was one of my favorite amenities at Vista Hermosa! It's also a great money saver. The home also comes with maid service and a concierge, Shiona, who has lived in Costa Rica for many years and is extremely knowledgeable about things to do and excursions while on vacation there. Transportation for all excursions and trips was arranged for us and all of our drivers were on time and very friendly. All of the rooms are air conditioned, gorgeous, spacious, with high end bathrooms, balconies and very comfortable beds. The view of the jungle and ocean from my room made it very difficult for me to get out of bed! The path from the home to the beach is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Every walk through the jungle was an adventure and every walk offered something new to see and experience. My kids had a blast on our daily walks to the beach. In fact, on our last morning before leaving to the airport, my family had to get one last walk to the beach at 6am. Vista Hermosa is located in the center of town, close to shopping, restaurants, hotels, a nearby town called Quepos, and the famous Manuel Antonio State Park. Definitely a 5+!!!

My friends and I had been looking forward to our Costa Rican trip for months, so expectations were VERY high for our trip to Vista Hermosa Estate in Manuel Antonio. Simply put, they delivered!
Hands down, the architecture of the place is incredible and well-thought-out. Although it's large at 4 stories, it feels like you're right at home with the private rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful and I can't say enough about the chef, who made incredibly tasty meals for our group.
We did a number of fun excursions that included a visit to Manuel Antonio National Park (be sure to get a guide once you're there), a buggy tour and a catamaran cruise. By the way, the concierge was very helpful with the excursions. We also hit the local scene and visited the pristine beaches that are close to the home. But the real fun was just hanging out at the place! We partied and danced the night away. The place has an incredible sound system along with really cool DJ lights on the top floor. There's a beautiful pool on the top floor as well. We spent hours lounging and enjoying the panoramic view from the pool as day turned to night. What this adds up to is a 5-star stay echoed not only by me but my friends as well. Yep, we're already planning our next trip here!

If you hate a beautiful house with spectacular views & beaches and don't want to have an amazing vacation, then this place is not for you.
The rooftop has the best panoramic view of Manuel Antonio Beach. Along with the beautiful view, the rooftop also has top notch entertainment; the infinity pool in the middle (perfect place to relax), bar on the left (this where I had the most fun), an ice maker on BOTH sides (super convenient), refrigerators on BOTH sides, TWO restrooms, great sound system, TV's on BOTH sides and a dining area that tops just about everyplace I've EVER been to (including all fancy restaurants). The random visits from the monkeys were very enjoyable, it's something we never get to experience in Southern California or just about anywhere else for that matter. We were lucky to see a sloth on 1 of the days.
The chefs are also very talented and make you feel like a celebrity. Every meal was amazing and their deserts were delicious.
The room we stayed in was also nicer than just about every hotel I've ever stayed at. THE BEST THING ABOUT THE ROOM TO ME WAS THE SHOWER, IT ALSO HAD A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE OCEAN. I don't think I will ever be able to a shower that will top it.
WiFi throughout the entire building was also very helpful and convenient. The yoga area was great, especially for someone like me who loves to exercise. The view from there just made it much more enjoyable.
The private trail to the beach was also very entertaining itself. I mean we were literally in a forest and the walk itself felt like a enjoyable mini hike. One morning after jogging the beach, I walked back up and saw tons of monkeys.
The beach is also beautiful and is now my favorite beach in the world (I live in San Diego and have been to many other beaches in Hawaii). I enjoy surfing and this place is an excellent place to surf and has NO SHARKS (unlike Hawaii & California). Also drinking did not seem to be a problem on the beach, in fact there were some places along the beach that would that would serve you drinks and food. Also many of places offering surfboard rentals and lessons along the beach.
The location of the house is also great one, there are plenty of restaurants that are walking distance or a cheap taxi ride away from.
I could go on forever about this place, but it still does fulfill the full justice of actually staying there.
