Warm, welcoming, and generally excellent.

My friend and I stayed in a ground floor twin room. It was extremely comfortable and well appointed with an excellent standard of finish. We both slept extremely well in the very comfy beds, and appreciated the power shower. The hotel has a lovely ambience, and Cherry has excellent level of attention to detail, and the highest service standards which really make the difference. The breakfast was exquisite. It's calm and quiet with plenty of parking. We felt very welcomed, and well looked after. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful old hotel. Well maintained. Thank you Cherry. Simply loved it!

Breakfast was excellent, generous and served with a smile. There was a good choice. The dining ambient was great, lovely decor, and very homely. Our host/owner, Cherry's hard work was evident in both service and food.

Very enjoyable stay with large family group. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was situated in a very pretty qiuiet village, but within close proximity to major transport routes. The hospitality was excellent and the breakfast was lovely.

I couldn't fault anything.

Only overnight, would have liked to stay longer. Will return if visiting the area.

Location and manager, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast exceptional. Great power shower. Good parking. Easy access to Taunton centre and cycling trails. Handy shop just across the road. Nice bear garden.

This is not a complaint as such, more in trying to be helpful and save the hotel time and money. All the extra cushions and decorations on bed, very nice, but need to be moved prior to sleeping. Would rather not have, must be a burden to keep clean. Likewise I had 4 towels I only needed one, would save them money if had option to specify how many I needed.

This wonderful hotel puts Taunton on our "Must Do List" when returning to the West Country.

Purest WestCountry hospitality. We were welcomed with genuine interest and kindness and made to feel truly at home. The quirky decor made celebrate that we were not captive to yet another "chain". The breakfast was perfect...and saving the best to last...the scones were in a 5 Star class of their own.

Only way to improve our stay would have been to stay a week rather that one night.

Brilliant stay

We had a wonderful stay, good night sleep and comfy bed when we stayed over at New years. The breakfast was delicious and we couldn't pick any fault with anything.

The breakfast was lovely. I booked last minute. I'm a special diet and there was more than enough to eat.

The room was a little dark for my preference. There was no evening meal on offer. I had to drive elsewhere.

A most enjoyable stay

The room was lovely, beautifully furnished and with a spotless en-suite. Breakfast was perfect, in a lovely room and the service was exceptional from the most helpful and friendly owners and staff.

An amazing stay.

Hotel was situated a short taxi ride from where we wanted to be in the evening. Hotel was amazing, lots of vibrant colours around and just so homely and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Hosts chatty and informative. It was a shame we were only there for one night and had to travel home the following day as we would have loved to stay there longer. We would definitely stay again.

Very satisfactory.

Very friendly owner, good bed and very good breakfast.

Why so many cushions and a throw on the bed? They took up space on the floor. A dressing tble that doubled up as a desk would have been better.

My wife and I will give serious consideration to booking there again

The breakfast was excellent and noone could complain about the quantity or quality. The staff was friendly and welcoming as were the people we met in the village when we went for an early evening walk. My wife and I will give serious consideration to booking there again when we travel between Hertfordshire and Cornwall.

Had we been staying for a longer period we might have found the room a bit small, but for a short break it was more than adequate with sufficient cupboard space. Some disabled people might find the stairs a bit difficult but we wern't there long enough to see if there were any downstairs rooms.

Stunning place, really comfortable perfect night sleep

The room was stunning, the bathroom was beautiful and the tub just amazing. The host was great welcoming me too and showing me where to go.
