Wonderful location close to beach with perfect pool area.

The pool area was lovely and very child friendly. Both pool and spa were a perfect temperature. There was enough seating around the pool and shade at all times of the day. The kitchen was well supplied with plates, cutlery (including some especially for the BBQ are) and cooking utensils. The view from our room was lovely and there was easy access to the beach.

We had to pay quite a lot to get a room with air conditioning but it was in a place on the wall that did not cool the whole room, and two windows were locked open. There was no starter pack e.g salt/pepper, tea or coffee.

A very pleasant holiday at a great location but some aspects need attention.

Location is marvellous, all staff are/were terrific, access to beach and pool area just gorgeous. Checking in after hours was awful, in that there was NO info on the printed material re luggage trolley. We parked outside the foyer at the front to unload, then had to lug it all upstairs. YUK. It wasn't until after we parked in the basement, that we saw trolleys there. The other problem is the "map" of the car park. We had no idea how to interpret it until we realised there was only ONE carpark but that it had 3 sections. (Surely you could name the 3 sections better than A,B,C when you are also using the alphabet for the rooms). Other guests (even one family who were return guests) also complained about the car park info. Signage re the car park and in the carpark is pretty dreadful and it is really not safe for the first time you try to drive in down the ramp. You don't see the "wrong side" markings till you are right there at the top and we were unlucky enough to encounter a car coming straight at us! In the carpark, several car spaces are not numbered and the signage for the lift is hard to find (even return guests said they had forgotten it). Our unit could have been more thoroughly checked - but that is probably individual owners. Bedroom main light didn't work, couldn't close the window in the 2nd bedroom at all nor could I close the curtains because of the way the bed was positioned hard against the wall. Main oven (not microwave) was extremely difficult to work out and there appeared to be no guidelines, no hand towels or pot holders (etc) so getting food in and out of oven, when hot, was difficult. On the day we arrived there were small marks/smears on the glass dining room table as well as one of the large glass doors. And some little areas (corners near windows) were pretty grubby, not having been wiped out. You have a wonderful site, and we did enjoy our time.

WIFI was really disappointing. Arrived Sat arvo and no wifi; code on my slip of paper didn't work. Tried umpteen times; so that is incredibly frustrating at the start of the holiday. I didn't phone anyone as I felt it was unfair to call up IT on the weekend. However, then the Wifi dropped out for the last day and a half of our stay. So what is going on? That is really poor in a city like Gold Coast.

Location and facilities were fantastic. Amazing views.

Some of the furniture was damaged and some bedding falling apart and spare room was extremely hot with no ventilation at all.

Great place to stay with kids, the facilities are great but the supplies in the room are low.

The pool and facilities were great for kids.

The supplies in the apartment were below standard compared to other serviced apartments that I have stayed in. eg. very little cooking and cleaning supplies were provided. I asked staff about it and they said they don't need to provide them.

Great view, excellent location, would stay again for sure.

The view was fabulous, location was excellent, pool was beautiful and heated, parking was great. The room could do with a bit of attention with paint and sprucing things up a bit on the walls.

More than adequate, but nothing special.

Beautiful heated pool. The apartment had one of those fridges with filtered water and an ice maker. I’ve never had one of those before. it was great.

My allocated parking spot was soooo far from the elevator. When I first arrived and when I was leaving, it was difficult to get around with all my luggage. I also didn’t like the mattress - it was too soft. That’s just personal preference though, so no big deal. The light in the lounge room didn’t work. Even though I paid for an ‘ocean view’ room, it wasn’t such a great view. I had an apartment on the side of the building and only on level 6. if I was higher up, the view would have been better.

Pleasant

We loved the location to the beach, the pool and views from the room were spectacular. However the room itself was tired/unloved and some parts dusty and unclean. The lamp shades were old and broken and furniture needs modernising particularly to justify a $850 a night cost. There was also a strong sewerage smell coming up through one of the bathroom drains. I would definitely come back to the Royal Palm and stay but I wouldn’t choose that room.

Location and outlook

This is was not a "superior room" as advertised. The curtains wouldn't drop properly, floor was bad, doors didn't close properly, no AC, hair dryer pathetic, tap wobbly, generally very poorly renovated. Our complaints weren't addressed.

we enjoyed our stay, just a few negative things that the apartment needs to fix other than that it was great.

Close to the beach, loved the pool area.

Parking was very tight, our main bedroom door would not close so no privacy. Sews from The dinning rooms chairs kept falling out. No aircon.

very hard to find a 4 bedroom for the whole family, so all in 1 apartment was fantastic, 3 bathrooms was very much appreciated. View was fantastic and the location was away from the hustle and bustle of the coast.

Good

Great easy location, pool and beach fun, however the pool is very deep at the waterslide making it difficult to supervise young kids coming down the slide. (unable to touch the bottom). On site parking tight for larger cars. Leisurely stroll to supermarkets and food options. Apartment more 3 star, quite tired and old in need of refurbishment.
