Lovely surroundings, outstanding and knowledgeable hosts

The hosts are lovely, warm people. The house is beautiful, especially the grounds. The breakfast choices were plenty and we always started the day well fed.

Unfortunately, in the summer, the bathroom was difficult to get totally aired out, so towels often stayed damp. There’s nothing that can be done- just an observation!

We loved everything about Afon Rhaiadr. The hosts Gina & Garath were amazing, so helpful on offering tips & hikes, etc to do in the area. The ambiance when dining was exceptional. We will definitely return when in the area again.

Lovely, welcoming hosts. Presentation & organisation perfect. Multiple nice touches..e.g, breakfast plates pre-warmed, names on room doors, various toiletries provided, soft & good-sized bath towels.

Couldn’t have wanted for more .

Beautiful country house in the most lovely grounds with walks abundant. Gareth and Gina are the perfect hosts, attentive and helpful with lots of knowledge of the area. (Gina, the waterfalls walk you told us about on our last morning was stunning, thank you!) The bathroom for room 3 is just across the corridor but that was no problem. Breakfast was very good too !

Perfect little stay. Will definitely visit again.

Beautiful location. The owners where friendly and had good knowledge of things to do in the area. The room was perfectly suited for what we needed and the bathroom, even though it was seperate, was very clean and had a good, strong rainfall shower.

The location and building were beautiful. The entire staff was welcoming and extremely helpful and accommodating. The breakfast choices were exceptional and varied. We ate two evening which we both delicious. A very relaxing and pleasing stay.

The stay was a perfect get away to relax and be away from society.

Gina and Gareth are wonderful hosts made us both feel very welcome and comfortable with the way they approached us also the food cooked by themselves was beautiful above our expectations definitely would recommend to anyone who is travelling to wales in this area.

Fabulous stay in a beautiful home!

Gina and Gareth are a delight...wonderful hosts! We stayed in the Foxglove room which was just beautiful and so tastefully decorated. Surrounded by green, leafy trees, it's a beautiful haven! Gina even provides bone china mugs for your lovely selection of tea, coffee and treats. There is so much attention to the little details which make the room and bathroom so lovely! The house is also lovely and I enjoyed sitting in the conservatory watching the numerous bird feeders and their visitors. Lots of great breakfast choices in the lovely dining room...we also had a great dinner there the night we arrived. The house is surrounded with a multitude of lovely areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful property. There are enticing walks through the woods that surround the property and to the waterfall and stream that gives the property its name. There is even a stream and a little bridge over it on the property and the gardens surrounding the house are beautiful. A bus stops nearby that will take you into Dolgellau and it's a short walk back to the property through the woods from and to the bus stop. It's just a short drive to so many great places to visit in north Wales.

Get away from it all for total relaxation

A small country house set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by wild Welsh countryside, including a nearby stream. The decor is impeccable and the ambience perfect for total relaxation. We had a candlelit dinner in front of a roaring fire - and they lit the fire again for us the next night just so we could sit and chill. Incredibly comfortable bed and great shower. Water from the taps comes straight from the spring. Food was delicious and the hosts are absolutely the most delightful we’ve ever experienced at a B&B. They made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

A lovely room and perfect hosts in arguably one of the best home base locations for Snowdonia

Gina and Gareth where very hospitable hosts. The room was large and clean and very well ventilated with large windows. The breakfast was delicious and can recommend the full cooked. It was the perfect place for us to have visited Snowdonia for a few days and will be returning as soon as we can.

The room was on the pricier side but I put that down to the current Covid situation with all hotels and guesthouses having to put their prices up.

Peaceful break with lovely hosts in a lovely b&b

The breakfast was delicious!! The hosts were very chatty and attentive, they checked on us throughout breakfast to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was beautiful and had a gorgeous view, it was a very peaceful break.
