Wonderful place to stay for our 2last days in spain

Loved the tranquility, the coolness of the beautiful building, garden so lovely with scented flowers and butterflies. The interior had easy stairs , comfortable armchairs around with a spaciousness I wasn’t expecting.

Nothing wrong with property , it’s such a shame that the Spanish authorities allowed too many buildings to be built around it.

If the owner had a personality and showed just a little enthusiasm for running this place then it would be a nice place

Nice property, a little castle like. With a great garden

The owner appeared to be completely disinterested in his guests. Breakfast, although acceptable, was very limited. A small menu in Spanish only and no hope of the owner assisting!!

absolutely horrible

This is the worst place I have stayed in Spain. The room is extremely hot, no venting or air conditioning, no WiFi, rude hosts, and the water does not work to take a shower or brush your teeth. Absolutely ridiculous they charge this amount. DO NOT stay here and make a mistake like I did. You will have more accommodation paying $10 at a hostel.

Chill out in Santander

A very comfortable relaxing place to stay in Santander. It's not at all central, but that can be an advantage here. It's also closer to the best coast than the centre of town.

Don't expect a lavish northern European style breakfast. Here it's the minimal toast and jam or cheese.

Nice place very poor host

Lovely quirky place, clean, nice location for one night to catch ferry. Car parking good

Host was not nice, I would suggest he gives up being a host as he was not very happy or helpful. internet was useless, he made us a coffee in the morning which was poor and I have now found he has charged us for it without saying anything. I will be complaining

Disappointing

Noisy dog barking all day and night in a very near by house, noisy guests waking us up at 3am. Room door not well fitted and noisy, had to put a magazine under the door to stop it from banging on the frame

Quirky Decor but a very enjoyable stay!

The property was very quirky yet lovingly cared for and squeeky clean surrounded by an immaculate garden with ample parking spaces. The rates are very inexpensive and include a basic breakfast so therefore represent very good value for money. I am not sure that this property would be ideal as long term holiday accommodation but great to get to know Santander or for passengers arriving or departing on the Brittany Ferry Service as the centre of Santander and the Ferry Terminal are directly along one straight road close by the accommodation.

No adverse comments to make!

The building is a fairly "heavy" design but well detailed to its theme, not like modern featureless.

Onsite free parking was a big bonus for us. Pedro was quiet and reserved but very attentive to any enquiries from us.

I wouldn’t recommend it

The owner was very impertinent, pointing fingers and with inappropriate comments. He assigned us a room that was not the one we booked — he put us in the attic in the worst possible room while he had confirmed to me on the phone that we were in the ground floor. The making bed process was an absolute nightmare, with wrinkles everywhere. We had to remake the bed every night. The walls and floors are made of paper and you can hear everything.
