Beautiful & comfortable accommodation in picturesque surroundings.

Stunning views across the pastures to watch to wildlife, birdlife, pasture herds and sun sets. We have stayed in all the different types of accommodation on offer during various visits to Owl Head Lodge and all are just gorgeous! So secluded and peaceful, yet just a 5-10 min drive has you right in the heart of the main street in Gulgong. For spot for star-gazing by the fire pit on moonless nights. Pack your telescope!

Couldn't find any fire wood onsite for the fire pit, but a short drive to the servo had that sorted.

Waking up and looking at the beautiful vista from bed. The bed was super comfy and the accommodation spotlessly clean. We did not want for anything. Rob even picked up a take away order, for our group, from the Thai in Gulgong. what more could you ask for! I have no hesitation in recommending Owl Head Lodge for those wanting comfort, quietness, a beautiful setting and wonderful hosts

I cannot fault Owl Head Lodge in any way, everything was perfect from the lodgings, cleanliness, views, pool, furnishings and even the kitchen knives were kept sharp. It was the little things that bring it up over the usual like washing powder, an emergency torch, weber bbqs, DVDs friendly goats etc. We stayed here partially for the access to the Great Western Cycleroute and were not disappointed by having cute country dirt lanes right on the doorstep. Will be back many times.

I liked the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but close to town. I loved the balcony with uninterrupted views of the countryside. This property would be perfect for large groups to rent out all the rooms/cabins/house and it would work really well for this. The pool was a nice addition but its position in front of the main rental house made it a little awkward as I felt a little bit like I was in their space but this didn't detract from the stay at all.

Dirt road and driveway to the place was wet and muddy, took me a whole day to clean my vehicle when I got home.

Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway

Lovely quiet and serene spot away from the hustle and bustle. Comfortable and well designed accommodation. The owners were not on site but very responsive in answering questions and providing check-in information before our visit.

We booked accommodation first, before choosing our activities. It was a little further than we realised to get to some of the wineries we wanted to visit. But on the plus side we discovered the town of Gulgong which was so interesting!

the salt water pool was well looked after with a very nice forever 360 view of the area

For being away from home for work for a week this place makes me feel like it’s a holiday.

you feel like your a million miles from anywhere but just 20 mins from town.

hard to say cos there really wasn’t anything I didn’t like. I would like to suggest outside lights to be on for late arrivals

Perfect luxury getaway nestled in the bush but only 20 mins from Mudgee and 5 mins to Gulgong.

I was stunned when I arrived - the property is so beautiful and the views amazing. The villa/apartment itself was lovely and comfortable and clean and in great condition. There were a couple of minor things that needed fixing but no big deal. I did get a few tiny tiny spiders and moths but nothing to worry about and I'm terrified of huntsmen etc. Loved having a shower with a view out to the hills (curtains available to quickly put across if anyone was nearby). Had everything I needed. I've told some of my friends and recommended a few of us go as a group. Apparently two of the apartments have kitchens so it would work well for us all to eat together. Price was extremely good value.

A magnetic strip on the side of the shower kept falling off - not a big deal but should be fixed. Light came in from the outside area and shone into my room at midnight - couldn't see any switch to turn them off so in the end I stood on a table and took the light bulbs out. I still had a great sleep though, so no harm done.

Heaven on Earth is in Gulgong.

We have stayed here several times over the years. Easy decision to return because of the total peace & quiet, stunning views, exceptional amenities on site…. oh and now a Baby chocolate llama 💕 No traffic noise!!! Close proximity for us drive to friends place. Quality products and appliances inside every cottage & studio. The most comfortable bed you’ll ever get away from your home. Spotless accomodation. Owners Sarah & Rob with help of great onsite Manager make this a 5* resort .

NOTHING to dislike at all. We were slightly annoyed that the ignorant guest next door parked 4WD on the beautiful lawn sodden by rain instead of on-site car space merely 5 paces away.
