Alright, no windows in the room so if claustrophobic I prob wouldn’t stay here

Meg on reception was lovely! Very accommodating and easy check in

Rude man who checked us in the first time. Got annoyed as we were all stood outside reception waiting for 2pm. He came out around 2:15 and said ‘why didn’t anyone ring the number you are lucky I saw the cctv’ which was abrupt, when no one was bothered it was a little late! Felt very uncomfortable after this

Sehr gute Unterkunft für kurzen Aufenthalt in Hervey Bay

- Komfortabeles Bett - Zugang zur Küche - Saubere Bäder - Schwerpunkt auf Nachhaltigkeit - die Inhaber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit

- der Ventilator konnte nur zwei Stufen (super langsam und turbo) - durch das offene Design können Tiere in die Küche

I would recommend the Woolshed to any travellers

For the second time now I have stayed at the Woolshed and I loved it I like the clean natural environment & the rooms are cosy and comfortable My 90 year old Mum like it all, access was easy for her and parking is onsite

Don't stay there

Nothing.

No A/C. No parking. No TV. Poor lighting in room. No sound buffering between rooms. Shower and toilet were dirty.

Over priced for a backpackers.

The kitchen, common room, bbq, grass and garden and a clothes line for the washing.

A lot of traffic noise in the early morning, double bed was very small and no smoke alarm in the unit.

Well located, quirky, rustic place with great vibes.

Enjoyed the rusticality. Felt like authentic rural - the big saw , corregated iron and rusty rabbit trap. Loved all the vegetation too. Spacious.

The supplied bowls are very shallow.

The entire vibe with the trees and the hammocks and the Environmental conscious theme. Close to the Esplanade with bars and walks.

TV didn't function on the higher channels for an important sports game (no big deal). Room quite closed in with one small window (also not a major as you should be outside!)

Possums eats your food if you leave it out in the kitchen and the walls are thin so you can hear everything

Room was cozy with a nice bed. Kitchen was nice and clean and very cozy as well. Loved the hammocks in the garden. Helpful staff.

Bugs in kitchen and ants ate our food, but the staff was really helpful with giving us a new bag and trying to get rid of the ants. Kitchen was a bit small and didn’t have a lot of cooking equipment so at times you had to wait your turn.

Pleasant enough

Good communal area, comfy bed.

No office staff on arrival despite noted office open times, had to call. Wanted to charge for leaving bags with them after midday on check out …. Used covid hardship as a reason but no other hostels charge and all in same situation, including travellers.

A lovely place to stay

Lovely place to stay with great communal areas. The rooms were very comfortable. Also close to the beach and the restaurants. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

First choice on our next trip to Hervey Bay

Clean, friendly, mostly quiet, nice environment with places to relax. Room has air conditioning and provided with plates and kitchen equipment. large kitchen with a lot of items and place to store food. Enough bathrooms and toilets which were clean. bed was comfortable. Lots of easy places and options to dispose of rubbish. Price was affordable.

No blankets or towels, and laundry use was expensive. Our room was very noisy as it was next to the kitchen, every little tiny noise could be heard. Our room was in the attic and I kept hitting my head, it was a bit cramped and also the skylight was excessively and uncomfortably bright early in the morning.

strongly recommend

I arrived after reception closure, I called Megan who welcomed me. She explained everything and had a box of crockery ready for me, which I did not take because I was staying overnight only. The room was clean, sheets were freshly laundered, there was a mini-fridge and a tea station. The communal kitchen was clean ans there was everything to cook.

The communal toilets could be a bit cleaner.
