the property was beautiful, witha lot of space both in side and out. the breakfast that was provided was more than we expected ( eggs,bacon cerial, yogurt, milk, oj, home made bread and muffins)

We loved staying at Roosters Rest, our villa was spotless and the cheese/meat platter was delicious and a real surprise! Along with all other food, breakfast, juice, milk and bread. Very cozy.

Enjoyable stay but missed having a smart TV.

The environment was fabulous! Beautiful bush setting. Peaceful. Attractive. Amazing bird-life - including a peacock!

The TV was small and it wasn't a smart television. DVD's were provided but very old and outdated. Some travellers may not find this important but older couples, like us, enjoy our nightly viewing on streaming channels. Would love to stay again but not unless the TV was upgraded to a larger, smart TV.

Beautiful place to stay . Never long enough

The breakfast was lovely although there was a misunderstanding on the amount of guests that we were travelling with and then we only had enough food for 1 breakfast. Sadly it wasn’t restocked but that’s my only complaint.

Delightful stay in a well appointed, luxurious cabin B&B.

Truly splendid, high quality, stand-alone, fully self contained cabin-like accommodation about 2km from town in a forest setting abounding in wildlife. We were welcomed on arrival and thanked on departure. We absolutely loved the pademelons wandering around, the ducks which marched by at dusk, the parrots in the tree, plus other tiny birds.

The WiFi did not connect to the internet, but that seems to be common with NBN in Tasmania. We used our own 4G modem which worked fine. Breakfast was a disappointment, no bread and limited, ordinary condiments. We do understand how difficult it is to provide breakfast provisions when you've got no idea what the customers like. It was easy to buy what we wanted at the nearby supermarkets. The provided cereals were good, and the bacon and eggs were great though.

Lovely accommodation and wonderful breakfast

The provisions provided for breakfast were amazing! And the cheese platter on arrival was a lovely touch that we really appreciated. The accommodation was comfortable and the family cottage was a perfect size for our family. Lots of places to sit and watch the wildlife outside. It was a nice quiet area and we felt very relaxed and recharged while staying here.

Excellent beyond the expectation.

Not a single public transport/ Uber/ taxi was available. We were waiting taxi since 2 hour no one came. Finally some one helped us to reach the destination. We were out of food and host provide us food , he helped us next morning to go Devonport and he didn’t charge us. Really helpful

Clean, cosy and pet friendly

Fab location - peaceful and quiet but an easy drive or walk to Port Sorell. Lovely dog friendly accommodation. We had a very late arrival and hosts had left us a cheese platter in the fridge which was very much appreciated. Breakfast provisions were also great. Cottage was very clean and comfy and we would definitely stay again

This was our second stay at Rooster’s Rest. We enjoy the peaceful setting, the sounds of the birds and the visiting wild

Very clean and comfortable for two. Well stocked. Peaceful. Short drive into Port Sorell/Hawley.

The only comment we made was due to so many trees close to the cottage there was very little sun on the verandah so we didn’t sit at the outside table and chairs as the shade made it cold.

Cosy cottage stay with excellent provisions.

The property is a nice cozy size and was immaculately clean. The cheese platter with meat, fruit and biscuits was of excellent quality and a nice surprise. Breakfast provisions (eggs, bacon, cereal, etc) were also top notch.

Superb

Roosters is very comfortable, clean and roomy. It is well appointed, and there was a welcoming cold platter for us to eat on arrival, and supplies for very hearty breakfast. it was a cool day but the host had the heating and light on creating a very comfortable arrival.

We loved our stay here and would recommend Roosters Rest to anyone looking for a perfect place to stay.

Well appointed cottage with all the amenities one needs. Comfortable and spacious it was warm and welcoming on arrival. A generous cheese platter, muffins and breads were provided and a well stocked pantry plus breakfast items. And REAL milk and orange juice in the fridge.

Fantastic place to stay. I loved the cabin and especially the delicious platter awaiting us. As I had been too stressed and busy to eat the previous couple of days (due to moving overseas) the platter was so appreciated. It was delicious and nourishing. I wish we had been able to stay longer to be able to really enjoy the place.

There was nothing to dislike at all. I am only disappointed that we didn’t get to spend much time there as we had to head to the airport at 4:30am

Absolutely amazing property all round,

Quiet, clean, hosts go above and beyond to cater for your stay, this was our second time staying and wouldn’t hesitate to return, this place is amazing with what they offer their guests, we loved it here, wish it was for a longer period.

A restful and well equipped place to stay!

The property is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It is in a very quiet and peaceful setting, but close to shops, restaurants and the beaches. The host is very thoughtful - turning on the heater before our arrival and leaving treats to be enjoyed! It was a shame that we were only staying for one night, but we know where it is now and would happily return.

The whole stay exceeded our expectations. The hospitality was exceptional. We had the most amazing cheese platter waiting for our arrival and the breakfast provisions were second to none.
