Blue garden is a great place to spend a few days for a relaxing vacation whilst exploring Yogyakarta

Blue garden is a very pleasant rustic low density resort away from the maddening crowd which is what we needed after the stress at work. It is quiet (till we came along-apologies to the other guests) and pleasantly breezy, located next to the picturesque padi fields. The accomodation in our 2 bedroom villa was nicely laid out with very comfortable beds. Food at the restaurant was good and you can get beer there too (that is difficult in the predominantly Muslim )!! Robert, the proprietor, is a wonderfully helpful and resourceful person who would make one's stay most convenient.

The Muslim call to prayers each day was quite loud at the Resort but hardly audible inside our rooms!!

Heerlijke plaats!!! Boeken! Super vriendelijke en behulpzame host!

Restaurantje aan het zwembad kan beter! Het is er heel leuk zitten maar er loopt vaak vanalles mis in de keuken. Het heeft zeker wel zijn charme 😄

Felt really safe and comfortable. Wonderful experience!

The owner Robert provided excellent service; he was always ready to respond to our requests via whatsapp and we were surprised by how responsive he was. He was very helpful by sharing tips with us on the attractions and also accommodated to all of our requests. The property was neat and we were comfortable, with nice homemade breakfast provided too. As good as it can be for a stay in a village!

Relaxing rural oasis

It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

De kamer ziet er mooi uit, alles is erg schoon. Fijn bed. De omgeving is prachtig tussen de rijstvelden. Heerlijk als je komt voor rust, maar toch dichtbij het centrum van Yogya wil zijn.

Super erholsam und einfach nur schön 😊

Blue Garden ist eine wunderschöne Erholungsphase nicht weit weg von Yogyakarta, perfekt zum genießen und entspannen. Robert und seine Frau sind wunderbare Gastgeber, sie lassen keine Wünsche offen und sind immer behilflich, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, es macht einfach nur Spaß. Das Essen ist super ! die Zimmer sind modern gestaltet. haben aber trotzdem einen schönen indonesischen Touch ebenso wie die Bungalow ähnlichen Gebäude und die Betten sind sehr komfortabel. Wir kommen sicher wieder…

3 nights stay at the 2-bedroom villa

The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The owner and the staff were attentive and very responsive to our requests and questions.

We stayed at the main villa, and air-con in one of the bedrooms was not cool enough apparently because it was too old. Shelves in the bedroom could be more properly cleaned for dirt and cobwebs at thier corners. In early morning, the voice from the mosque which locates right in front of the resort was very loud.

Lovely and peaceful stay

We had an amazing stay at Blue Garden. The accommodation is near the city centre and close enough to all tourist attractions around Yogya. The room is super comfortable and cleaned daily. The staff was especially kind and very helpful. We loved the food, the pool, the view and overall just the peaceful few days we had here. Terima kasih banyak Robert & Arum!!

As stated by other guests, the mosque wakes you up early in the morning but with earplugs in you’ll be fine :)

Beautiful hotel with some small things to improve

Beautiful location and rooms, setting and breakfast is great. Located about 15 minutes by cab from Yogyakarta in a nice garden. Lovely please to relax.

Communication could be a little better. But maybe that's because of the language difference. Didn't like it that the preferences for breakfast and diner had to be by whatsapp. Would be far more personal at a small hotel if you can do in person.

Environnement et service très agréables

La piscine et l’environnement de l’hôtel sont très agréables. Robert a été d’une aide précieuse pour visiter Borobudur et Prambanan et est toujours disponible pour nous renseigner si besoin. Il a également été très arrangeant en ne nous comptant pas une nuit d’hôtel suite à un avion raté qui nous a fait arriver un jour plus tard que prévu.

Outre la prière la nuit (environ 15 min à 4h30), il faut savoir que l’hôtel est très proche d’une mosquée dont les appels à la prière sont avec un volume très élevé durant plus d’1h entre 18h et 19h. Nous respectons totalement la religion mais c’est tout de même très dérangeant. Également, les plats du restaurant et le petit déjeuner pourraient être améliorés.

Schönes idyllisches Hotel um Tempel zu besichtigen und am Pool zu entspannen

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und hatte einen schönen Pool. Das Essen war lecker. Die Anlage war insgesamt sehr gepflegt. Robert war sehr nett und hat uns bei Fragen zu unserer Weiterreise immer geholfen. Wir haben über ihn einen Fahrer gebucht um nach Borobodur und Prambanan zu kommen, was sehr zu empfehlen ist. In Yogyakarta selbst waren wir nicht sondern haben nur die Tempel besucht.

El hotel está genial. A las afueras de la ciudad (que es caótica), entre mucha vegetación y super cuidado. Las habitaciones son perfectas de tamaño. Robert te ayuda muchísimo para organizarte en tus días allí.

Relaxing place with nice people

Nice and quiet place, a little bit outside the center but peaceful and calm. After tours and traffic in the city it is nice to find a comfortable and relaxing place to get some rest, the pool and the nice view from the garden are really appreciated. The restaurant inside the hotel is good and so distance to the city is not a problem, we had diner inside the hotel. Robert and his wife are very nice people! We had a big problem with our scheduled flight and those people did everything possible to help us! We strongly recommend!

Beautiful stay--would recommend Blue Garden to anyone

The staff here was super helpful, from booking tours and airport transport to helping me figure out what to see in Yogyakarta. The room was also clean and well-decorated and had a number of thoughtful touches. The grounds were especially beautiful--the terraces and the pool are surrounded by plants, and the view from the restaurant/pool is gorgeous.

Excellent stay amongst the rice fields.

The villa is beautifully decorated, with a large comfortable bed and a private terrace. The pool is shared but we always had it to ourselves which made it super special. The views across the rice fields are excellent, especially during breakfast when you can see farmers working in the fields. The sunset is stunning! Our host was also excellent, making sure our stay was maximised and got to see and do even more than we had planned. We highly recommend staying there, they also arranged a driver for three days who were reliable and friendly, taking us everywhere we wanted and shared their local knowledge! Don’t hesitate and make sure you book your stay at Blue Garden!
