perfect place to stay in Tuscany

the place was great! the staff was amazing! the property is stunning! we did a cooking class on the property and it was one of the highlights of the trip! highly recommend the place! I will be back!

no complaints but keep in mind the the villas on the property like what we stayed in are great but not "new" the beds are comfortable, bathrooms good, and I have no complaints, but keep in mind that you are staying in a historical spot.

Le cadre est joli mais peu exploité (débit de saison pt être)

Rapport qualité prix moyen : les chambres sont vielles, la salle de bain aussi avec un chauffage cassé / bloqué au max et une chaleur inutile

Wonderful escape from Florence into deep rural Chianti in the grounds of the castle.

Lovely facility as part of the castle grounds and surrounded by vineyard. Huge room with mezzanine bedroom. Great bathroom

An amazing experience!

What an amazing experience we had !! Stunning castle !! Mostly I was ( good way ) surprised that it was no restrictions, as in another places like this ! You could walk inside the castle anywhere you want , no signs “do not touch “ do not open “ we really felt that this castle was like ours :) lovely 2 swimming pools with a stunning views ! Don’t get scared if you meet wild boar :) while walking around castle :) the gardens just beautiful! We were amazed how good breakfast was !! Everything was so delicious and fresh !! The wines from their own vineyard really really good ! They do wine tour in a cellar !! Please make sure you buy their olive oil !!! Toooo delicious!!! Thank you and we will come back !!

One thing for us was missing is the castle restaurant !! We loved the castle so much that we did not even want our for dinners anywhere else , so hopefully they will have one ;)

A perfect location to spend a few days in a tasteful place.

The location is a dream, very attentive, lovely staff. Very tasty and varied breakfast.A place you should not miss !!

It was in a beautiful setting in Tuscany.

We found the staff not very friendly or helpful. A message about what is open and closed during the day around the area would be beneficial especially as it’s so isolated. We couldn’t get any lunch. The restaurant on site doesn’t seem to be connected to the accommodation so there is no clarity of when it’s open or not. The breakfast was not great and more options could be provided. A better ambience in the breakfast room should be looked into ie. some peaceful music.

Beautiful area, fantastic service, delicious food

1- Wine tasting is always free (on my experience from other countries) as the concept is to encourage the customer to buy a bottle of wine after tasting. Suggesting to change their approach. 2- also providing free tour from wine yard to fermentation facility, filling and packaging would be fantastic experience. This is again in line with promoting the brand of Meleto

Amazing experience

Breakfast was great and the room it was in was stunning. Our room was amazing as were the surrounds and inside the castle. The pool was a huge bonus as it was very hot. We had a wine tasting in the afternoon which we enjoyed some of the local wines. The restaurant that the staff recommended in town was incredible. Totally recommend this place after all who would not want a night in a castle

Absolutely beautiful property and setting - the view as you walk down to the restaurant doesn’t look real! Stunning. The staff were lovely and helped us so much when we needed to find transport. The pool was great with a spectacular view, and the apartment was very comfortable, clean and had air conditioning.

The only issue we found was getting to and from the property without a car. There is a bus service to and from Siena, but it only stops at the hotel extremely early or not til the afternoon, which wasn’t helpful for checkout time. Instead we ended up paying an extortionate €90 for the 30-minute journey to the train station, so I’d highly recommend hiring a car! It would be great if the hotel could offer a shuttle or car from Siena for a bit of extra money on the room.

A lovely place with amazing views letdown somewhat by indifferent attention to detail by the provider.

Beautiful accommodation with landmark views in a stunning location. Really nice breakfast.

This property is trading heavily on its landmark view, at the expense of attention to detail with facilities, and customer service. Ordinarily this might not matter but this property is charging a premium price and this was disappointing. We booked an apartment 6 months ago, but this accommodation was not available because the property was fully booked. Not my problem. The accommodation we were given appeared thrown together without attention to detail, with a broken fridge, makeshift extras fridge in the dining area. Many of the facilities listed by booking.com were missing or had not been provided, including microwave, kettle, tea and coffee welcome pack, kitchen welcome pack( washing up liquid, tea towel), TV ( not that we would have watched TV), satellite channels or safety deposit box. We had to ask for these to be provided several times as we became aware they were missing. Neither could we access our accommodation for two hours because coaches to the winery were blocking our access. These layers of poor service diminished what ought to have been a lovely experience.

LOCATION, castle history and hill top

Rooms.. small and stars to go with luggage. Breakfast no toaster and old bread .. not much variety.. at this money expected luxury but accomodation and brekkie was basic.

Fantastic accommodation in an amazing location

What a fantastic place to stay! We booked an appartment which was huge with fantastic views over the Chianti hills. At night the silence was absolute - such a rarity these days. Breakfast was spectacular and enough for most of the rest of the day. Great location in the heart of Chianti with excellent quality wine. Thoroughly recommended

A wonderful location

The location was stunning and staying in the castle was a great experience. The wine tour + tasting were also really good.

The room had coffee making facilities but no coffee. We phoned reception but were told they had run out. The new on site restaurant was a disappointment. The staff were scruffy unprofesional and had no interest. I tried to order more wine several times only to be kept waiting indefinitely when the restaurant was less than half full. Rather than stay for desert we left early.

Great scenic castle stay, good for short visit

Apartment next to beautiful castle, amazing views out the window. Breakfast in the castle was great.

Apartment is very old but know that going in, there was a lot of rain, we had leaks and power outage. No candle or flash light while it was out. Shower did not get very warm.

With little improvements it’d be the paradise

the location, the breakfast and the little restaurant near “Osteria Meletto” was perfect! the building where the rooms are located and the garden is amazing.

only defect would be , it’s not recommended to have a late check in (after 15pm). the bath or our room was hnfortunaely not functioning right and the water was not getting off the tube easily. last and worst unfortunately is the thin walls, yiu hear every little thing going on in the next room.
