amazing gem of a place in the hills out of town. surrounded by forest with a river running by, very peaceful. slightly out of town so a car may be an option but buses pass frequently. Nigel the chef cooks an excellent tuna steak, amongst other delights and the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful.
only stayed 5 days, should have been longer

The most amazing setting!! Smelt so beautiful with all the flowers… loved all the wildlife, humming birds, lizards, frogs. Felt like a little bit of paradise! Staff friendly and helpful. Great to have a river to take a dip in.
It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, especially if you wanted to keep the ants away from any snacks… they do provided a Tupperware box but it didn’t really work. And would keep some bottles of water cold.
The shower needed a little attention and the pressure wasn’t great but it had hot and cold and did the job.

The staff was amazing. I made Lifelong friendships. All went out off their way to ensure my comfort. Would always recommend the Hibcusus to travelers of all walks of life.
Cold shower. LOL. But that is island life!

Very peaceful. Staff were so accommodating and the food was excellent! Not far from Marigot airport

Amazing garden where all the cottaged are located
Price for the food in the own restaurant to high for dominica

Good hammock and area to chill outside the cabin. The gardens are very beautiful. Also did a great tour with Omari of the Kalinago area and some waterfalls. Staff (mostly spoke to Omari) were very nice.
The double bed we stayed in had a very hard, wooden middle section. There were some holes in the fly nets in the windows and had lots of bugs in the room and ants in the bathroom. It took us a while to work out how to properly close the multi-part mosquito net.

So much to like - the food, the abundance of plant life, the massive bed, the incredibly helpful and friendly staff. And only a short drive from the airport.

I booked a room that seemed good on the pictures on the website but the hotel gave me a room in the jungle full of wholes and we felt that snakes and bats would get into the room. We pay USD$ 72 for it. We needed to beg for a change and the hotel gave us a library to sleep and we slept on a sofa ( my son and I). Is that fair?
Nothing was good. The hotel promised compensation but no compensation has been provided

Nice hotel, friendly staff, close to the airport, so for us the perfect place as a last evening in Dominica. The rooms were spacious and clean. The rooms are all located in a beautiful green environment, what gives it extra charm. We didn't had the breakfast, but we chose to eat our diner there... So delicious! And we took it with a home made rumpunch and made it even more excellent!
The walls are thin, so you could hear the outside very good. We didn't had a problem with it and are neighbors were totally nice, but I can imagine it can be different sometimes :) Just as a tip: in that case take some earplugs with you, because the rest makes up for it!

Dinner was nice. Location good close to the airport.
Breakfast was very poor. There was a big group (15 odd) at breakfast at the same time as us. Eggs were cold and coffee had run out when we arrived for breakfast at the time we were told. Not acceptable for USD 8 pp.
Room was nice but be aware most plugs were of the US type.
Dogs barked a lot in the night waking us up.

A really pleasant stay in the countryside. The bungalows are very tasteful and blend in with nature. Trips are arranged to all major tourist places in Dominica.
The atmosphere is family-like and one can get help with a lot of things. It is possible to walk to the village to have dinner at the very(!) local place Ma Raffo's Cuisine. (Say hi from Tom.)
Swim in the river across the road or ride down it on tubes.
The weather in Dominica is very different in different places. This is a good spot. A few very short rains most every day.
Easy to take the bus since it is on the main road between the airport and the capital. Breakfast and dinner are served every day. Lunch can be booked.

This place is really beautiful. The cabins are completely surrounded by beautiful plants and trees and it has really a relaxing vibe. Perfect for our first stay after the long flight.. You might get to meet some other people (which we did) that you can talk to or even travel with and doing stuff together. We really liked this. The people from Hibiscus were very friendly and easy going. The bar upstairs is nice and you can try a lot of local rums there. The river nearby is very nice to relax and cool off a little bit.
The cabins are a bit small (number 1 at least) but if you are a light traveller then its all okay. And besides the river, there is not a lot to see in the neighbourhood. But the accomodation organizes trips to the various waterfalls or trails further to the south so you could arrange that. And the WiFi in cabin 1 was bad.. but it varies per cabin.. there is good WiFi at the common place where you have breakfast/dinner.

The service from the day we arrived was welcoming, thanks to OMARI. Its a fmily environment, we tae together, dined, dned and drank as family with other guests, very warm, nice plants around, loved the river, spent most of my time at the river swimming. would definitely visit again
The bungalows are too close to each other, not best for partners next to each other, i think more sound proof needed urgently so that people can enjoy each other privately. the beds are comfortable, enough size to share with anyone. nice shower.

The rustic bungalows set in a garden of Eden settings were quite comfortable. Water was hot and plentiful generally. (Had low pressure one time when maybe everyone there was showering). The staff was exemplary and cooked good food, from breakfast to bar drinks to delicious dinner. Carean made a hot medicinal tea of nearby herbs to cure our nephew of the results of food poisoning from the night before. He was up and snorkeling by the afternoon! They are always looking out for their guests. Wonderful staff!!
We have no complaints. It was all charming.

Nothing at all!

Very beautiful location. The rooms we had were not the best due to a last minute booking and a very rainy day but I got to peek at the nature bungalows and they looked very inviting and relaxing. Every room had an outdoor hammock and is surrounded by plants, trees and flowers. The food is amazing! Compliments to the chef. Very nice hideaway for a nature recharge or disconnect from the business and hustle.
At night it's very dark so walking to the rooms was a bit scary. Our initial impression upon arrival also was a bit odd as the team was not expecting us due to a booking delay/ mishap via the app. It took us a while to warm up and settle in. However the staff more than made up for it with a wonderful dinner and their very convenient taxi to the airport the next morning. Rooms also did not have all the convenience for charging phones etc. But would be great for an off the grid, nature retreat.
