Lovely staff but they need to do better

The rooms were comfy and mosquito free!

The pool was dirty and had lots of dead insects in it. Lack of vegetarian options on the menu. The hotel grounds were also dirty. You don’t get clean towels everyday.

The stuff in the hotel were excellent if it wasn't for them we would not stay there I do not think that they get paid a fair price for the work that they do and also we got charged a whole day only for two hours staying in a room where we had been traveling for 24 hours

Very poor

It was near the airport, and the shower was hot.

It was dirty, cockroaches every where, TV didn't work in my room, I've got pictures, tea and coffee but no sugar, overall a poor standard of cleanliness.

great location but amenities need upgrade

the location and ease of check in.

Noise from the traffic, water was cold in the morning, and there was a smell for the shower drain pipe. not enough lights in the bathroom to get a close shave.

For the price we paid, the facility was beyond our expectations. We were happy for the additional courtesy extended to us by the owner Mrs. Bishop. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family

overall stay was OK but more attention to detail from the hosts would have made our stay more pleasant

large spacious rooms, well air conditioned

wasn’t given the room we ordered. was allocated another room which wasn’t suitable and then had to do a room exchange with another guest who kindly agreed to exchange. whilst we accepted the exchange the room was located up a v steep incline which wasn’t suitable for my 82 year old Mum. Sofa-beds not in a very good state and need to be cleaned.

Ok for one night to reach the Airport. Otherwise reject Room 10.

Good Distance to the Airport.

All Windows had look out to a wall. Due to this the room was dark even at daylight. Shower drainig doesn't work. Overall cleaning was not that good.

Superb

Staff were friendly and helpful. Wish they had name tags to remember names more. Front Desk and laundry staff were kind and helpful. Nick the bar manager was great. Pool was great, and a nice addition. Taxi/ Haylup was easily accessible and Dillon was great. Vans #1 are just as accessible on the main road, they do charge extra for a drop back ( from terminal in town etc.) since the hotel is off their route. ($7 /7.50 instead of $2.50 for short distances) My deluxe apartment was exceptional,I'm a sucker for top floor and sunlight. I may have cooked if I stayed here longer but every thing worked. A nice set up and right next to the airport.

The pool didn't have any feet signs( max & min depth) but it wasn't deep at all. I had breakfast and lunch there on separate days. They didn't always have the main menu options and I had to ask if they didn't have xyz when given my order instead of being told/ offered alternatives. The toilet was stained but functional, few towels had stains / off white look.

Home away from Home

Loved everything about La Heliconia. Requests were dealt with promptly. Felt like I was amongst family. Real nice personal touch. Couldn't ask for more from the staff / team. Friendly and professional. Food on point! Spa was amazing. Karima was just superb. Keep up the good works all, I will certainly be back.

Comfortable hotel, very convenient for airport, but not near any other facilities

Room was very comfortable with good sitting area and modern kitchen area (although we only stayed overnight after flight arrival. Very close to airport. Breakfast was excellent

Appeared deserted when we arrived. No one at reception. Eventually barman booked us in. Restaurant wasn’t open (except for breakfast) Effects of Covid restrictions still applying

I would not recommend staying at this hotel

The pool

staff were very rude and not helpful service was very poor we ordered lunch and was given uncooked chicken. tables by the pool side were very dirty. Fridge door in the apartment very dirty Do not advertise correctly what the free breakfast is if you order a full English breakfast you are charged an extra 10 EC dollars I booked two apartments and was given one apartment with two bedrooms The wait time for ordering for was nearly 1 hour I was told they were short staff I would not recommend staying at this hotel
