Wunderschöner Aufenthalt! Super Personal, gutes Essen, viel Auswahl beim Frühstück mit Früchten, frischen Säften, Eierspeisen und vielem mehr. Wunderschöne Aussicht und eine eigene Bucht. Ein Paradies! Gehen wieder.

Serene and beautiful hotel in one of the best parts of Samana island

Villa Serena is a beautiful place, tastefully designed, with extraordinary sea, pool and garden views. Our room is quiet and spacious and has a large baloney overlooking the ocean. It is a perfect location for people who try to find an alternative to all-inclusive hotels. The Playa La Playita, 10 minute-walk from the hotel, is among the most beautiful beaches on the island. The hotel is also 7-10 minute-walk to the town Las Galeras, where one can find good restaurants and feel the vibrance of local life at night. I particularly enjoyed the free Yoga classes facing the ocean in the morning. Angelina, the Yoga teacher, is super amiable and helped us tremendously during our stay to communicate with the personnel (we don't speak Spanish). Overall, this has been a very pleasant stay. I highly recommend the hotel.

The restaurant is disappointing. From a French culinary perspective, I found the two dishes I ordered barely edible (squash carpaccio and seafood pasta). Curry chicken wrap for lunch is okay. All personnel at the restaurant, on the other hand, is extremely nice (as it is at the rest of the hotel).

Ambiences, quiet, relaxing.

Pool was poorly kept, water was very dull and dirty. Should improve this issue since their beach couldn’t be used because of Sargazo/algae, and we end up going to a close beach.

Overall highly recommend. Like living in your own private mansion on a beautiful private beach.

View was fantastic from a very large comfortable balcony. One recommendation would be additional seating on the balcony. Room was good, could use a bit of updating but its charming and had a very cozy comfortable feeling. Breakfast was simple but very nice and nothing lacking. The staff is very friendly and accomodating.

We prefer white comforters, feels more clean. But not a dealbreaker at all. One more recommendation: consider building a walkway from the pool to the bar area. There is none and i didnt really want to walk on grass and over nice flowers.

Location is amazing and very convenient. It’s outdoor is the best asset.

Super beautiful hotel and garden. The ocean views are stunning. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. Beach, supermarkets and restaurants are in walking distance

There could be a bit more variety with respect to the breakfast. Everything we had was super fresh and delicious though.

Unique place in picturesque setting - some improvements possible

Picturesque place and beautiful garden. Very calm area. Comfortable beds.

Cleaning staff replaced towels with used (dirt stains) towels on one day. Should pay more attention to such things. Invoice amount presented at check-out was higher than what we had booked through booking.com. Took a lot of time to sort out. Breakfast not very good (bland in taste, pre-fabricated).

Old fashioned hotel where time stopped in the 90ties.

Beautiful garden, view from our room, nice little beach.

Mold on the wall in the corner of our room. Very old bathroom with terrible shower. Slow personal. Repeatedly returning to us and bothering with the notice we have not breakfast included which was not the truth. The worst accommodation we had during our stay in DR.

My trip was excellent, I will be coming back to this hotel

hotel villa Serena is located in beautiful Las Galeras, Samaná. The hotel boasts stunning views and is very comfortable with large porches and windows. My husband and I came for our wedding anniversary and this was definitely the highlight of the trip as we made it all around the Samaná peninsula. the town of Las Galeras is lively but quaint, with great restaurants and a couple grocery stores and banks. It’s just a few minutes to walk or bike into town. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive, we felt well taken care of and enjoyed all of our experiences here. Booking accommodations through the hotel was easy, we went to playa Fronton (a must!) and the boat picked us up right at the private beach of the hotel!

Nice and calm hotel, huge selection of food at the restaurant, within walking distance to a beautiful beach.

We waited very long for the food to arrive at the restaurant. There was no hot water in the shower. Maybe not ideal with little kids.

Tranquil property next to the ocean with several beaches within easy walking distance. It's an easy drive to Playa Rincon as well. The restaurant on-site was really good as well, although slightly more expensive than other places around. Staff was especially nice and welcoming. I wish I had booked a longer stay, as two nights weren't enough here.

very quiet, private and comfortable. i have extended my stay. very good breakfast.

there was a water disruption (maintenance) for several hours one day and we were informed only after it already happened. also one day there was no wifi, although this apparently impacted the entire town, not only the hotel.

The restaurant meals were delicious. The pool was nice. The restaurant staff was very friendly. The morning yoga was fantastic as well. The view from the room is perfect.

Reception staff was not friendly. Some of the water toys advertised were not available for use. Be careful to note if your rate includes air conditioning or not. Likely, it will not include a 10% air conditioning fee if reserving through booking.com
