Picton Has lots of lovely Cafes and Restaurants to enjoys some of Marlboroughs finest Wines. There are lots of winery tours to fill in a sunny afternoon. Take a water taxi to one of the wonderful lodges for lunch in the sounds and see the dolphins. There is a lot to do with the children down on the waterfront mini golf, merry go round, mini train rides, waterpark and playgrounds. Or just take the boat and enjoy the wonderful sounds fishing.

The home is moments away from town center in Picton. Right out the door are great hiking and mountain biking trails. The home is very livable, updated. Several outdoor living spaces are very inviting. The home is historic, well maintained and the art on the walls was unique and spectacular. Of all the places we stayed this was my personal favorite. We had a small hiccup with thinking that there was a hot tub, but it had just not been removed from the listing. In its place as a very nice outdoor kitchen.

We only spent evenings and nights due to our trip being work-related, however, the place is fantastic to rest after 12 a conference and we all absolutely enjoyed it. The owners are very approachable and really easy to communicate with. Most importantly (work related) - the internet is very reliable and quick.

We had a lovely stay at Gaylene’s. Check in was very easy and the spa was heated for us upon arrival. Everything we needed was there and the property is a quick walk to trails and into town.

We absolutely adored our stay at Jon and Gaylenes. Their home is warm and cosy, and had the most wonderful touches (wifi engraved into a wooden block, robes hung up in the wardrobe), we loved every bit of this home. Will definitely be back!!!

We absolutely loved Jon and Gaylene’s home! Convenient to everything, quiet, beautifully decorated, and filled with every amenity you can think of. The gardens are meticulously tended and the outdoor areas a pleasure to be in. A truly amazing stay with lovely, communicative, thoughtful hosts!

Gaylene your home was very clean, warm, inviting and well equipped. My granddaughters enjoyed the outdoor spa pool. Having several tv' s, allowed the adults to watch the rugby, while the children watched other programs. The outdoor/ barbeque space was enjoyed by all the family including the two that visited from the cruise ship that was in Picton for the day. The house is in a quiet area at the end of a street, with only a short drive to the centre of Picton. There is several walking tracks nearby to enjoy. Many thanks for the wonderful stay.

We were very appreciative of Gaylene’s generosity as we needed to change our plans. Then spending a few days in this lovely home we got to appreciate it’s many features and creature comforts. Artfully decorated, comfortable beds, fully functioning kitchen with all utensils, good shower, warmth from wood burner distributes throughout bedrooms, many quiet spots to sit outside in the garden, on the veranda. Tranquil location next to Picton-Waikawa walkway. Highly recommend.

Located close to Picton township this is a very well presented villa property with comprehensive modern amenities. We only needed to stay one night but it suits both short and long term lets. Very good communications with owners - our thanks for a great stay.

A superbly appointed home with incredible paintings and eclectic artwork. Loved the wood fire, the spa pool with TV and the comfy beds. Kitchen has all the modcons. This property has a wow factor - you will be impressed.

The stay was nothing short of perfect. We appreciated the good communication, really nice homey accommodation and cleanliness. The only slightly negative thing I could say is that now me missus added ‘purchase and install hot tub’ to her list of things I’m meant to do.

Immaculately presented accommodation (despite the book-a-bach photos looking more professional than most ... they still don't do the property full justice). Very elegant decor - a lot of time, thought, effort (& taste) has clearly gone into it. Warm & cosy on arrival (Gaylene had put the logfire on earlier in preparation ... we really appreciated the gesture) ... all the utensils & household items you could possibly need, very comfortable beds & lounge ... spacious bedrooms & bathroom (& a feeling of privacy/soundproofing between the various bedrooms) ... and, lastly, a very quiet neighbourhood (always an important factor for me) ... we had a great night's sleep. Precisely zero negatives ... 5 out of 5.

The house was great that it had 4 bedrooms with queens and single beds and all so comfy. Everyone commented what wonderful beds and a great sleep they had. The log fire was great at night and the spa was a fantastic night activity.

As a group of motorcyclists, we found this place absolutely amazing! The home is beautiful, with fantastic facilities and nice private bedrooms. The parking is also excellent for motorcycles. 10/10 would recommend!

Lovely decorative quirk. Well fitted with all we needed. Lots of fridge space. Excellent for the child and toddler (although the toddler liked to pick up things and move them, and there are lots of things you don’t want a toddler touching!) fully fenced. Although there was no high chair (no biggy) and i there actually is a porta cot there. Not too far away from centre. Great for entertaining. Thanks for having us 😀
