Cozy in the Centre

An excellent small hotel in the centre of it all. Helpful staff and a well appointed room.

Tight, steep staircase and no elevator - to be expected in this historic property. The floor above and street below were noisy but ear plugs were provided in anticipation.

Lovely clean place, very pleasant owner. Would stay again!

Great central location, lovely clean room. Very old style building but really beautiful. Pleasant owner, verty welcoming. We appreciated the text when the room was ready, as it was raining badly.

Very little really. It is a lovely place. Steep stairs up, but that goes with the character of the building.

Cute old town experience!

Beautiful room with exposed beams. We had the first story suite and the upgrade was worth it. Right in the middle of the old town.

Pleasant

The location is very central, close to bus stop, shops and cathedral

Very basic old small room and bathroom. The price wasnt that much different from 3 star hotels,but the comfort is way lower.

Superb

Great location. Spacious comfortable bedroom with hot water cooker and coffee. Very nice breakfast with fresh pressed orange juice. Tout parfait!

Spacious room in the centre of town

Excellent location, in the centre of Grand Bayonne in a beautiful, old building. Clean and spacious room.

The beautiful old building’s floors are extremely creaky. You can hear every step taken by the neighbours above. No lift.

The location was great for walking round Bayonne and close to restaurants. We arrived out of check in hours and were given access so it was easy to settle in .

A hotel full of character - Recommended

Hotel with charm and character. Very good location. My wife appreciated the kettle. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff.

Because it is an ancient building the stairs are narrow and of course there is no lift, so might not be ideal for people with mobility problems. Probably a little noisy on a summer evening as sound echoes in the narrow street but the hotel thoughtfully supplies ear plugs.

Most enjoyable and the man at reception was very helpful in recommending a good restaurant

A perfect central location with nearby parking for my motorbike. I loved the old history of the building.

Friendly staff in a historic building with comfortable bed.

The winding stairway had problems with lighting at night and had to use flash light or I-phone to light the way. Pressing on the light switches didn’t always work. Small bathroom.

Pleasant and Relaxing 5 Day Stay

Spacious room, Leon and Patricia were just wonderful, always there to assist. The location is perfect for seeing all local the sights, 5 min walk to the buses where you can go to Bairritz in less than 20 mins. The hotel has an ora of charm.

Excellent location , near to all amenities and attractions. most important Leon and team has been excellent. Fantastic host, will definitely come back again.

Though bathroom and toilet are clean, it lack space to put any toiletries and towel. Would be great if that can be improved.

Excellent!

The manager was extremely helpful, and his English was very good. He suggested where to go to eat and recommended some restaurants which is always very useful. We loved the decor of the room and the bathroom, - both very clean with a modern bathroom and great shower. Comfortable bed and adequate sized room with kettle and coffee/tea facilities. Also WiFi.

Had to climb two lots of narrow stairs with luggage, but not a great problem. At night, with the window open for some air, it was rather noisy - but ear plugs were provided if needed - we didn't need them. Took us a while to find the hotel which meant we were later than expected, probably because we were not good at map reading! However, one email suggested parking at Champs Foire car park which caused the problem - hotel was much easier to find from the nearer Charles de Gaulle car park.

this is a perfect locdtion in a charming old building in the heart of town

The location in the midst of the old town is perfect, among chocolate shops, patisseries, restaurants, the cathedral…….and an easy 15 minute walk from the train station.

nothing I didn’t like, but be forewarned : there’s no elevator and you could have a room 5 floors up

Traditional feel in Bayonne

Friendly staff, cute building and lovely traditional features. Very comfortable and a great shower. Good location for exploring Bayonne

Quite tight stairs to get to the rooms, however the owner carried our luggage. Adds to the charm of the stay!

Great location

Great location in the old town, wide choice of restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Comfortable room with plenty of space.

The street noise did carry up to our room including from early morning cleaning/delivery trucks - earplugs were provided for light sleepers.

Well placed in the heart of the historic town

Beautiful old basque building in the historic town with easy access to tourist sites. Bus stop close to hotel with regular buses to Biarritz town and Airport. 1 bus stop away from Bayonne train station or an easy walk. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. A kettle and hairdryer were provided in the bedroom. An easy check in after reception hours.Nice breakfast served by friendly, helpful staff. Restaurants by the Riverside at close proximity..

The only small thing was that I was confused as immediately after booking I received a message saying that Reception opening hours were limited and to contact the hotel if I needed to check in later than those times. I did this by email and received a quick reply and easy self check in . However , it was a little unsettling, and i don't always read my emails on a daily basis . This was a small problem and I would definitely go back.
