Uma escapadinha de fim-de-semana

É uma casa que nos faz sentir como se estivéssemos na nossa. Com a salamandra, garantidamente não se passa frio! Tem uma vista incrível e é ótima para levar a familia.

Infelizmente, durante os 4 dias não tivemos nem internet nem televisão. As camas podiam ser um pouco maiores e as individuais podiam ser um pouco mais cómodas.

Lovely typical house in a wonderful village close to Lousã

This is a lovely typical house in a wonderful village close to Lousã. We enjoyed a lot the comfort and all amenities of the house. The village is located on a trail leading you to the Castelo de Lousã. We strongly recommend Casa do Cascão to anyone who would like to experience a visit to this part of Portugal.

A estadia superou as minhas espectativas.

A estadia superou as minhas espectativas porque acabámos por usufruir mais da casa porque esteve mau tempo (frio, vento e chuva). Eu chamei à casa "toca" porque nada mais foi que um abrigo para a família, com conforto, decorado com bom gosto, luminosa/o cuidado de vários pontos de luz, simplicidade e sem stress. Adorei a experiência, a aldeia nos dias de chuva, nevou e fomos ver a neve no topo da serra da Lousâ.

Não me lembro de nada.

Adorei a localização e a aldeia. Para além disso, a simpatia e a disponibilidade do Sr. Dinis é enorme - sempre pronto a ajudar no que fosse preciso. Inclusive, proporcionou-nos num momento de convivio, a melhor ginjinha de sempre. Com toda a certeza de que voltaremos!

Gostei da paisagem e do sossego que a zona proporciona.

Acesso a casa na rua tem alguns degraus muito altos e a minha mãe teve alguma dificuldade em subir descer as escadas.

What a perfect place to spend Christmas. It was like walking into a movie set. Everything about it was great

Sentir-se em casa longe de casa!

O alojamento Casa do Cascão é excelente, é sentir-se em casa longe de casa. Muito confortável, a sala com lareira dá um conforto extra, e a vista é incrível. A aldeia onde está localizada também é muito agradável, tem restaurantes e um mini mercado. Fomos muito bem recibos pelo anfitrião e por toda a aldeia!

It was privilege to stay and support the restoration of a schist village.

The house is beautifully renovated, very clean and the host, Dinis, was very generous and accommodating. The village is so lovely and the views across the valley are sensational. Fantastic walks in the area too.

Great Get Away!

Loved this remote village in the mountains. Do not expect to get here any other way than car or motorcycle! But once you arrive you will understand its charm! The Apartment is up some steep stairs and the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor.

A wonderful few days of hiking the many trails of the area. The local Tavern was perfect.

The cleanest and most welcoming house we have enjoyed in our 3 weeks. This is an amazing and charming personal property. We fully enjoyed the bedding and well equipped kitchen. Perfect weather helped, but I could stay a week in the winter and feel cozy.

A fabulous stay in Talasnal

Casa do Cascão was everything we’d hoped for as a base in the schist villages. Central for the hikes we wanted to do. The early March weather was cold and we had some rain but the log burner in the house kept us toasty and warm. The house is furnished beautifully. The afternoon sun hits the terrace in March, just at the right time when we returned from our walks. A big thank you to Dinis for a warm welcome, we enjoyed the local liquor and food left for us. Highly recommended.

The temperature of the water in the shower could not be changed, luckily it was just right but could be too hot for some and needs attention.

A Magical and Enchanted experience!

this is the kind of place you will never forget. Dinis met us at the car park and walked us to the house. He had a fire going for us and walked us around the place. We felt completely cared for here as we had just arrived that day and just need time to rest. This was the perfect place and just what we needed. The love that was put into this space can felt felt and it was enchanting.

The weather, but it also made for a perfect time to snuggle in a nest. just what we needed.

Wonderful experience.

I loved the house, very comfortable and beautiful. I loved how it blends in the whole village and nature.

There's nothing I didn't like, I would only suggest that there were maps and suggestions of sights and trails for people to explore, even though the owner was helpful telling us in person what could be seen and done.

This is such a unique area to visit.

Beautiful home, very comfortable. The hiking is gorgeous albeit very strenuous.

Recommend a house sign. We arrived after dark and we’re completely lost trying to find the house. Also, we suggest having a few staples stocked (pasta, canned tomatoes, etc) because the restaurants were closed after our arrival at 18:30.

Superb

The village and its environment is really very nice. Beautiful nature. The house is very comfortable and well equiped. The owner even is offering you things like coffee, wine, licor, marmalade.

It was hard to change the temperature of the shower, because it blocked when the water was hot. The fence around the terrace needs replacement. It would also be good to have a handrail besides the stairs. But on the whole we were very satisfied about the house!

Fantastic stay!

We had a great stay in Talasnal. The house is lovely and very comfortable. It was very clean and all the extras made it even more special. We had sundowners on the balcony every night and having a fully kitted out kitchen made for a very comfortable stay. The views out of the windows are beautiful and we loved that we could just go on hikes straight from the front door. We will definitely stay here again, the house is cosy and just perfect for a retreat in the mountains where it is peaceful.

4 days family review

Amazing days spent at Casa do Cascao Talasnal. One of those few experiences that you wonder "what could have gone better?" Dinis- the house owner, is a fantastic host!! Always very active and extremely helpful!! Gave us the best tips about what to see, what to visit and where we could delight ourselves with the best gastronomy. By the way, be prepared to walk a lot if you still wanna fit on the same clothes you brought with you!! It was maybe also our best WRC experience as it turned out for us to be at serra da Lousa on the very same day the cars would race. Dinis organised such an epic event for the whole family!! I am 100% sure i will be back and once again thank you so much for these 4 days full of great experiences!!!
