Personnel sympathique, établissement pas à la hauteur

Le personnel était très sympathique et, pour la plupart, très à l'écoute. De plus, malgré que l'hôtel soit en périphérie de Londres, il est bien déservi en transport en commun.

1. Tout d'abord, les équipements qui étaient mentionnés sur le site n'étaient pas tout à fait fonctionnels. Nous avions réservé l'hôtel notamment en raison de l'accès à une laveuse et à une sécheuse. Malheureusement, la sécheuse n'était pas fonctionnelle et aucun avertissement n'avait été fourni à ce sujet. Lorsque rapporté une première fois au personnel, aucune solution ne nous a été offerte autre que d'étendre les vêtement dans la chambre. Il aura fallu se plaindre une deuxième fois pour se voir offrir une solution arrivant trop tard. 2. Ensuite, la disponibilité de la connexion internet (wifi) s'est avérée extrêmement instable tout au long des 9 jours passés à l'hôtel. Nous forçant souvent à trouver un autre endroit hors de l'hôtel pour travailler ou faire notre itinéraire. 3. Puis, l'état de notre salle de bain privé était assez déplorable, présentant un quantité assez anormal de moisissure sur les murs et le plafond. Ultimement, nous sommes plutôt déçus. Malgré que l'hôtel ne se présente pas avec de grandes prétentions, il n'a pas su répondre à nos attentes minimales.

Kind people, can recommend

I was travelling on business and had a long trip before I arrived. Everyone was so kind when I got there and it was very easy to check in, which was a relief. The fellow who showed me to my room was friendly and gave me tips on where to go for different kinds of food. I left my hearing aid in the room when I checked out, messaged the hotel when I realised, and got a message back right away saying they would check for it. They found it, held it for my son, and when he picked it up they were super nice to him, which is much appreciated. I have to give my thanks to all the great people at the Hour Glass.

Not what I expected

The staff are friendly

The place is situated right inside a pub and is loud until the pub closes. The property faces a housing estate and there is no parking facilities. It felt very unsafe. If you dont like stairs don't book this place because all the properties seem like their in the ceiling. Garden View does not exist. Only boom this place if you like hostel like properties. Definitely would go for a premiere inn over this place any day.

Nice room and facilities

Booked this as rather emergency accommodation when I was stuck in the area but it was absolutely great. Lovely little room with a bathroom. Nicely decorated, all the usual facilities, nice staff. It was just what I needed.

Could have done with some more instructions in the room for checking out, ordering breakfast etc

We had a problem with water, so the last day we stayed without shower and even the bathroom was not working.

Fair price for London

hFair price for so close to central London, warm cosy room, friendly staff. unfortunately shower was broken so very inconvenient for 2 night stay and mouse trap under bed was a bit disconcerting. However lovely kitchen space to cook own meals and dining space. Convenient regular buses into London right outside the hotel

Disappointing

The staff were nice

The room was stale as were the beds & bedding the refrigerator stunk, the curtains were hanging off. No wardrobe. Very small considering it was a triple room.

Disgusting, Vile, Scammers

Nothing good to report. Unhelpful Scammers.

Shouldn't be in operation as a hotel. Vile cleanliness, we turned up and decided not to stay as the room was disgusting and shared kitchen. Would advise people not to stay here, unsafe location, scammers.

Not a good night's sleep

- Did the job as a last minute place overnight - staff were friendly and helpful - pub underneath didn't cause any disturbance.

-bed was squeaky and uncomfy (woke up everytime one of us moved) -cardboard walls (we could hear the man in the room next door snoring throughout the night and people going in and out of the toilets all night) -curtains didn't keep light out -thankfully we didn't need to use the wardrobe as it was a broken fabric 'tent' style which couldn't hold a coat without buckling.

Nightmare at Hour Glass pub.

Nothing.

I would like to tell that this place is a scam. They should not be called a hotel... Motel at most. We arrived at a Pub. Small wooden door with stairs of half meter wide to go to our room. To our shock it does not have private bathrooms. when we were told it was shared it made our trip a living hell. It does not have a 24/7 lobby. Its value for money is bad. The second night we slept there the front door was open. we did not sleep because we were scared. room walls were broken. towels werent changed (good they had towels). the lighting was so bad it always felt dark. and the bed sheets were dirty. no air conditioning. or heating alternative. was freezing cold for my pregnant wife. there should be an in BOLD writing that the bathroom is shared. not in a small line in the end of the describtion. We chwcked out the third day and they refused to refund us.

I DON’T recommend this place I got there, no body was there to open. I called lots of times no answer! I stay there waiting for hours. had to get another hotel. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡 waste of time and money, and they never answer!!!!! I want my money back, scammers!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡

Great courteous and affordable location with quiet rooms and convenient access to transit and a variety of meal options.

We returned to this location after several days away. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and managed our special requests with care. The location is very affordable, quiet and convenient to transit (bus to nearest underground) and affordable food options (Old Kent Road - many ethnic restaurants and takeaways). It worked perfectly for our budget and our needs.

I suggest to visit the Hour Glass Hotel, really comfortable.

Beautiful old style English house, with all service and very clean, more than all the staff was super and very, very friendly. I’ll come back next time for sure!!!

the room was not tidy the bed sheets had holes in the shower water was cold and they did not have enough milk and sugar we asked for more and they said we couldn't give as anymore there was a dirty towel under the bed and there was rubbish under the bed

I was comfortable

The staff are very pleasant, friendly and very patient. That made all the difference. The bathroom was really clean and nice. My room was clean as well with everything I needed. I liked the kitchen facilities as well with washing machine available for use.

I think the property could do with a bit of renovation. ie maybe changing the stair carpet. That would make a big difference. Brighter bedding colours would have been nicer and would make a lot of difference in the rooms. I paid a bit more as I booked on a very busy weekend and only 2 weeks in advance. Overall I was comfortable!
