About this house rental

Fantastic 1970's kiwi Bach with beach views, loads of sun and only 50 metres to the water. Perfect in summer or winter whether you're after a weekend away or a longer stay in Whitianga. Bach has been recently renovated but still carries some of its original 1970's charms as shown in the photos.

Located just 5 minutes from downtown Whitianga, with attractions including
-The lost springs natural hot pools
-Great fishing, diving, surfing
- beautiful sandy beach, with safe swimming for all ages
-Enjoy local fresh seafood at great local restaurants
Special conditions:
Families preferred, no parties please!

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels). Duvets and loads of extra blankets are available. We can also organise a cleaner at a cost to you if preferred.

Lovely location. Lovely large kitchen, lounge and shower room. The room with the bunk beds could do with floor length black out curtains to keep in the heat and create privacy. Would be good to have heaters for each bedroom too.

We had absolutely fantastic stay! Everything was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we felt like home, house is cozy, clean, comfy and honestly all you need for great holiday and more. Everything was there, lots of toys and games for kids, beach across the road, town just a short drive 5 min or beautiful beach walk away. Would recommend in a heart beat and in the future that would be a place to go if I would plan another get away in coromandel.

Location is great, however it was unreasonably clean. There were bugs in the kitchen, thick grime on the handles and the fridge was really dirty. We decided we weren’t comfortable eating or showering there. There was hair all on the shower drain and a fair amount of spiders through the house. The bunk beds had a big dip in the middle so very very uncomfortable. Easy check in and awesome location so it could be a great place to stay with some tlc.

Loved being able to see the ocean beach views from the dinning room and lounge. Owner was very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay. Bring your own linen and towels.

Cute little bach with everything we needed although wasnt keen on where kids bunk was at. No internet which was good and bad, since it rained while we were there would of been nice to kick back and watch netflix but then was a good break being off technology. Thank you to the host for easy and fast communication.

We only spent 1 night here but really enjoyed it. The house was clean, spacious and very close to the beach. It had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely recommend this place and would consider staying here again!

Great spot right opposite the beach. All your essentials for the kids and no “breakables” to worry about. The only thing to note is the kids bunk beds are actually in the entry hall/utility room. This was not ideal for young kids so we moved the matrices to the floor in the big double bedroom. There was plenty of space.

The was dirty dishes left in the sink.. windows and door had dead bugs around.. lucky only stayed for one day.. location is probably the best thing

Great location, walk across the road to the beach. Large section good for parking cars and boats. Friendly, helpful neighbours. Unfortunately the bach is very tired and not very clean and the shower just trickles out. Sorry.

Lovely typical kiwi Bach. Superb location for beach walks and swimming in the sea. Close to town for a bit of shopping. Handy to Hot Water beach, Cathedral Cove. Bach would be good for small children although the property is not fenced and there is a busy road outside.
