Peaceful mountain hotel with all you need to relax and enjoy the Garrotxa

Location is awesome, with probably some of the best views in the Garrotxa region. Staff was friendly, dedicated and helpful.

Very friendly staff always ready to help. Amazing view on the mountains around, nature, fresh air. The hotel is built right near a church, and the hotel is actually a place where monks used to live.

It's quite hard to get to the hotel - you can only use a car or taxi. The road is a mountain serpentine. The breakfast was tasty but quite simple and there were no proteins like eggs.

The ambiance, the views, the personnel friendliness kindness and professionalism - everything was just spectacular! Long walks in the forest twice a day, relaxing terrace mountain watching.. perfection, I've already recommended to all my friends!

the walls are very thin and I am light sleeper - I could hear every movement of the neighbour room, however my family in another room reported complete quietness and noise free three nights so maybe its just this one room was has this unfortunate flaw.

An enjoyable relaxing stay at a unique property with an exceptional view and friendly service

This property is definitely off the beaten path and from the moment you drive up the forested twisty road listening to all the birds chirping, you get a feeling of peace and tranquility. The view from the terrace was exceptional - it was very relaxing to enjoy a drink or a coffee. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful despite limited English. The dinner and service were excellent and the view from the dining room was beautiful. There is a hiking trail right from the property but unfortunately we didn't have time to do it.

The hotel rooms are very old, rather dated and a bit dark as the windows are small. Having said that, the view from these small windows is beautiful and the room was clean. Also the price we paid including breakfast and dinner was very reasonable. Wifi did not really work in our room (at the far end of the hotel) but it worked well in the reception area, terrace and the dining room.

The place with a soul

Amazing ambiance with heritage, landscape and comfort built in. Good place to hike around, eat well with stunning panoramas over the Pyrenees, good food and drinks, friendly and competent stuff. The place with a soul.

The room was looking at the parking when we chose that location cause the views in that location Apparently only 4-5 room are in the front rest of rooms are in the back giving parking Then better to just go to restaurant and then leave no stay the night

Breathtaking views over the valley!

The view of the terrace is breathtaking.

The restaurant isn't very cosy, bright white lights, lack of decoration, overall a bit cold.

The views from the balcony (and dining room, and presumably also some bedrooms) are impressive. The food at lunchtime is excellent. The quality of the half board evening meal (at least in my experience) was a somewhat lower. However, the Santuario offered a perfectly ok budget overnight stay and the room was perfectly clean and functional if basic.

I think the only thing that disappointed me (apart from the evening meal, after having experienced a much better lunch there) was the slightly impersonal nature of the place - this could be transformed if one were greeted by a big smile and a warm welcome on arrival. IMHO the manager needs to embrace his role as host and make every guest feel welcome as soon as they walk in - a smile costs nothing but pays big dividends. 😊

The only weakness is breakfast. Not nearly up to the standards of lunch and dinner.

Beautiful views for a relaxing weekend

Everything! The view from the room was amazing. Lovely, friendly and accomodating staff. Comfortable bed and lovely dinner and breakfast.

The bathroom in general was a bit dated and old. The shower was very basic, with low water pressure and old fittings.

Best view to the mountains and valley from our room, authentic building, great dinner, friendly staff. I love this place!

Amazing place for relaxation

Amazing staff, very eager to explain the near-by hike routes and always with a smile. The view is breath-taking and in general the secluded location is perfect for a relaxed time. Don't miss out on the surrounding hike routes! The room was impecably clean!

Everything great! Don't expect for any luxury of course, the rooms are basic but extra clean and comfortable.

I searched for Salud and I found it!

A perfect place to stay!!! I desperately needed some place in the middle of mountains with forests, rivers and nature; and I gotta say, this place reunited everything I was looking for and look forward to visit it again in the following weeks. The location is something breathtaking, with vastly views and jungle in the backyard; sunrise and sunsets are unbelievable from up there.
