fabulous family run, family friendly authentic experience, great atmosphere and the owner was incredibly helpful despite limited English. Lovely pool and dinner optional every evening offering fantastic value and food. I'm allergic to gluten and they went out of their way to accommodate me. Lovely place to stay

The room was warm. The cooling system didn't get the room very cold so sometimes too warm at night.

would highly recommend for solo traveler, couple, or families. Very comfortable and reasonably priced

well maintained, just outside of town but convenient to highway which made day trips easy. is an agriturismo so local produce is emphasized. Breakfast was homemade sweet cakes with great cappuccino. Dinner at €25 was very good: several courses allowed me to try different foods. Frequented by locals, ie Italians. Small but nice pool. Staff very friendly.

La Carcara was better than expected

Fabulous pool, good location.

We wanted to eat at the restaurant, and the food was delicious, however we would have preferred an option that had less food. We couldn't eat more than half of our meal and felt that it was wasteful.

Best Prize/Value

The Owner was very helpful and kind (a free Upgrade), he can tell you everything about the region. You should eat Dinner there, it was so good (and plenty of) local food in a authentic ambiance. And the room was clean and also big enough.

Dream stay - excellent host

The experience was so much more than expected: from check in throughout the whole stay and the host even dropped us off at the Otranto station when we were ready to leave. The facilities were clean and spacious. The pool - highlight of a dusty backpacking trip. Sweet Italian breakfast with a choice of a savoury treat and a yoghurt. The host - looks serious, however is very lovely and helpful. The level of hospitality is just amazing. Can’t put to words the experience we had here, just great!

We are so happy that we chose this place and would not change this experience for anything!

Before arriving to La Carcara we were disappointed in the italian cuisine. At La Carcara this changed and we understood that by eating in restaurants you don't get to know how the real italian food is. The food (both at breakfast and at dinner) at La Carcara was PERFECT and so versatile!! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! They gave us good advices on what places to visit. The environment was cozy and all the facilities were very clean. We highly recommend this place! It is a must see!!

Great place to stay in Otranto

Very pleasant stay and nice owners. Perfectly located, very close to Otranto and to beautiful beaches. Very comfortable and fresh bungalows. Excellent breakfast with a large choice of homemade cakes and delicious coffee. Very convenient on-site parking

Italian home away from home

Era squisito!!!! La Carcara was a wonderful place to stay for people exploring Puglia. We stayed here for 2 weeks and could've stayed forever. Pool-side relaxation in the mornings, fresh homemade cake and cappuccinos for breakfast, wonderful local guidance, and homemade dinners with local ingredients. This family-run establishment gives you the Italian home away from home that you never knew existed. If you are fortunate enough to have this place available during your trip, book immediately.
