Merges with the Forest

This hotel is outside lively Jaco, so is ideal if you want peace and quiet. The grounds are extensive and merge with the forest and there is plenty of wildlife to see from Humming birds to Trogans and Monkeys. The pool is large and provides a welcome relief after the heat of the day especially after a visit to Carara National Park. The breakfast is tasty and substantial. Coffee great! Rooms are simple , clean and spacious with super aircon. An added bonus is a small Cafe/Soda called Jaco Sabor a short distance from the Hotel near the Main Road which offers excellent Comidas Tipicas.

A lovely and quiet location in Jaco

The pool was lovely and the grounds were well maintained. We saw monkeys playing in the trees when we checked in.

It’s an older property so the rooms are a bit dated but still comfortable and clean.

Lo repetí y lo volvería a hacer

La naturaleza de la zona donde se encuentra el hotel La cercanía con respecto a San José La tranquilidad del lugar que está rodeado de zonas verdes

Tener que pagar extra por la mascota me tomó por sorpresa puesto que en otros lugares dice que se aceptan mascotas y no se cobran adicionales

A nice hotel in a pleasant location but definitely felt end of season!

Nice spacious clean room. Excellent pool and friendly staff. Amazing wildlife in the grounds.

The initial welcome on arrival was not very positive and the member of staff was not especially helpful when we mentioned the room we had booked was not as provided. This was dealt with most efficiently by Jordan next day. Also on check out the bill was incorrect and items had been added plus not clear what was included. No body on reception when we left after midnight and only the security man on the gate to assist.

lovely overnight stay

spacious room. We booked this as a one night stop over but was actually had a lovely time. my children loved the pool and monkeys jumping all around the trees. The grounds were lovely with lots to see and spot. Breakfast was nice.

A very special, beautifully maintained oasis!

Even more beautiful than the photos! Staff were all very attentive and friendly. Everything in our room and in the public areas is well-kept, in excellent condition and clean. High quality towels. Spacious. Relaxing oasis, would happily stay again.

Bad smell in room and horrible beds

Nice pool and garden

Room needs renovation(number 06). Not enough lightning. The feeling in the evening was like being in bunker. Dirty beds and towels. While we were 2 persons and the room was quadruple, we could choose in which bed to sleep. One was looking like not prepared at all and someone was sleeping before(while both were covered as new)... we chose to sleep in another, but still, it was smelling badly. Nice time by the pool during the day and worse nighttime while being in Costa Rica. Adding some bed photos.

Disappointing

A huge Cockroach landed on my bed in the middle of the night. It was so gross. A big big crawling on the bed was not fun at all. The reception was already closed and we couldn’t do much about it. The hotel allowed pets. There was a little dog in the pool area that was barking at all the time.

good place to stay with a homely environment 2 miles away from all the havoc from jaco

quiet , clean, relaxing . good swimming pool. the hotel has nature and peace.

the upfront rules make no sense, but I guess they are there for a reason.

A pretty spot

Huge room which was very comfortable with great AC. Beautiful gardens, very well maintained. Cheap food and drink. Quiet as far from town up a fairly residential street.

Some confusion and mystery around operation of the restaurant. Breakfast was a very small buffet one morning with no explanation. Then the next morning was as described with a selection of a la carte. When I just wanted a beer I felt bad asking and bar is a long way from the pool.

Superb

A beautiful respite from the crazy noisyness of Jaco. Good bird and monkey encounters. Nice pool area and we were able to use bikes to ride to the store. Just a pleasurable place!

One more lamp in the room would have been nice. The burrito at breakfast was bland.

The resort gardens are beautiful breakfast was not bad

The room was gloomy - not enough light bed was uncomfortable - very old matrices bathtub requires climbing - not very comfortable

This property is like a rain forest paridse . The beauty of the property will take your breath away. The food is fresh home made and will give your stomach a warm smile .

it was alright.

it was 5 minutes away from downtown so we were away from the party crowd. It had gates and security. lush green property. free monkey sighting by the pool.

the bathroom water system. the hot water was finicky and burned my daughter when it did come through. breakfast options, if included in the stay are very limited and basic.

A little paradise to reload

Warm welcome! The room was XXL, I was sadly only 1 night there. The garden is a little paradise. The pool was a nice refresher (not sure how it is at peak season). They offer bikes - which is an adventure itself.

The local breakfast was ok (I only ate local breakfasts during my 2 weeks in CR)

Poor

The location was near the center.

Everything was wet in the room because of the humidity, in the middle of the night there was loud noises from falling fruits on the roof,and finally inside the room many mosquitoes and bugs.
