Lovely hotel!

The view from every room The staff was always helpful cosy rooms

In order to pay I needed to do a transfer rather than paying directly through Booking

Exceptional

View was very nice. Restaurant good although we were the only guests this night. Staff very nice, but didn't speak english...nevertheless everything worked. The gps point is not correct but you can see a big gate at the road. Bumpy way up..no problem with our Jeep.

An excellent, quiet rural place to stay just 20 minutes outside the bustling city of Huancayo.

Tuki Llajta, which means Pretty town in the Quechua language, lives up to its name. This is a lovely, secluded eco-lodge property high up on the Eucalyptus-strewn hillside overlooking the Mantaro Valley. To get there, you need to drive up a rough track with 16 turns (count them!), which is fine provided your vehicle is rugged enough. My travelling party stayed in three rooms on a terrace, all with front decks to sit on and see llamas and alpacas, an amazing night sky, and the world going by down in San Jeronimo below in the morning. The rooms were spacious, clean and authentic to the region. The manager, Lucy and her very friendly staff welcomed us in our late evening arrival with tea in the room and lit our fires (which can get a bit smoky). They also prepared breakfast, left in our rooms the night before our early morning departure. We were made very welcome to join in their New Years Eve party, despite being late arrivers. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant were enjoyable both for the quality of food and the superb view down into the valley.

Although this rural isolation is ideal, some of my party would have liked to have wi-fi access in their rooms (a short walk to the reception room and restaurant satisfied that need to be connected).
