Good stay directly at the port

Unsere Fähre wurde storniert und wir haben schnell eine Unterkunft gebraucht. Das Zimmer war angenehm und sauber. Das Personal hat sich angestrengt Englisch mit uns zu sprechen

Nice accomodation right next to the harbour

Great location overlooking the harbour. Friendly proprietor and easy check in (after 3pm). Room was clean and everything worked. Good check in instructions (at the harbourside restaurant).

Shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor.

Tiny room in a shared appartment & shared bathroom, outside of Boniface (15 min climbing stairs up).

The apartment (shared) is nice and well located. Very quiet and clean.

1. At the check-in, they retain your ID as deposit for the parking – which is illegal. An ID is a personal document and can only be retained by authorities, such as police, but never ever in a hotel. They might take a picture or do a copy, but never keep the original as they do. *Cette pratique de retenir la carte d'identité, ce n'est pas légal. On peut faire une copie, mais jamais retenir l'original. C'est un document personnel et doit être avec son propriétaire.* 2. The appartent is shared, and the toilet is in the kitchen, which is not very nice, and the room is very small.

Very good

Room is close to the bus station (our main criterion). It was clean and did the job for our one night stay. We appreciated the mini-fridge.

Like all accommodation in Bonifacio the room is expensive for what it's offering (very small).

Will never be back and recommend no one else reserves L'escale.

Location

Access by walking uphill on a main road was ludicrous. Staff did not bother guiding us there. In fact, one staff member was told not to do so. Room little bigger than a cupboard, and we have been in better cupboards. Outlook dreadful to myriad of heating engineering and washing line,

Mycket missnöjda.

Bonifacio is very charming

Very bad reception. We stayed in a construction site. The promised eating facilities were not in place. The balcony and terrass were not useful.

Good parking

We were there during non tourist season, parking was free. A nice walk from the hotel restaurant to the citadel.

The room is a bit small. We had to walk on a narrow pedestrian walk (almost needed to share the path with cars) to make it to the room.

The flat although is in good location is difficult to find as it’s on the wrong address. it’s on the port side at n. 19. the toilette doesn’t flush properly. toilette, bathroom and kitchen need a good clean with lots of bleach. floor is sticky and hasn’t seen a mop in ages. the flat is cold, it’s exposed to north side and in winter never seen the sun. we asked for an extra blanket which was provided but the blanket wasn’t warm at all. the flat needs some attention. in the bedroom window there is scraped paint mainly due to mould. the advertisement of the flat is confusing and it’s not clear if you have private bathroom or not. more importantly DO NOT BOOK as self catering as the owner doesn’t allow you to cook. there are facilities but is forbidden to cook! ridiculous!

Okay apartment with a very good location for french speaking people who don't plan to bath.

Good location

Difficult if you cannot speak french. It is a shared apartment with two bedrooms which can be locked. The living room and kitchen are quite big and the bedrooms are okay. There is no place to dry for instance snorkeling equipment in the bedroom so the apartment is best for people who don't bath.

Its a great place if you stay in town using public transportation and not with a car.

The location is very good, close to both old city and marina and the owners are very nice. The room is clean and nice.

The parking is quite far, about a kilometer from the hotel. We had to drop the luggage on the narrow road near the hotel without any parking and then drive to park in the public parking (nevertheless, it was included)

Lovely stay, super central location

Lovely stay. The room had a beautiful view of the port. The key collection was easy enough and finding the free car park, it’s just left at the Spar. Would recommend, comes with a hair dryer and iron which is handy.

The only thing I would improve is having an extra fan in the room, I found it a little bit warm on the night just with one fan.

Excellent location and facilities. We would stay here again.

Great location overlooking the port and just a short walk up the hill from the waterfront restaurants. There are lots of eating places nearby and easy access to the waterfront shops. There is a supermarket close by. The studio was well equipped with a small kitchenette table and sofa in one room, a good sized bathroom and the bedroom overlooking the port. There was an iron and everything else we needed except a shower cap. We were provided with a free parking card to access a parking lot about 5 minutes walk away. There is a short term car park close by where we parked free while we loaded and unloaded our luggage. The WiFi worked well.

The walk up the hill to the apartment is a bit steep and on a busy road without a pavement. But it’s only about 50 metres distance. There are also some steep steps to access the road from the port area so if you have some mobility problems access to the apartment might be difficult. It wasn’t a problem for us.

Excellent location and great apartment

Excellent location with a great view of the harbour. Very clean and well maintained apartment with all amenities. They also offered daily cleaning which was great for a longer stay. Though the property faces restaurants and bars, there was no disturbance at all at night thanks to sound proof windows.

Fantabulous!! Honestly, if you're planning to stay in Bonifacio, do not look any further ~ this is the perfect place to be! The accommodation was clean, comfortable with a breathtaking view overlooking the port. The staff members were lovely, helpful and very smiley! I loved every single minute of my stay at l'Escale, highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed staying here. clean, modern, energizing, close to everything.

The unit is actually a one bedroom apartment with a small dining table and sofa bed in the Kitchen/ common area. the bedroom is adjacent to it with a balcony overviewing the marina. The Bathroom was clean and fully stocked. It was modern and the shower had a hand held shower head as well as a big rain shower head. The lady that runs the business also runs the restaurant with the same name. (not the same location but about a block' walk). She is very nice. I appreciate that it also had asking machine so I was able to do laundry in the premises.

I consider this unit a place for younger people. there is nothing wrong with it but the stairs you have to climb to get to it are not easy. it is 3 floors and it feel like there are 5 floors of climbing. If you are caring suitcases and are not fit to lift them there this property is not for you. Also if the look of dark old fashion stairs (the building is an old marina building) is not appealing at all. but once you get inside the unit you will be pleasantly surprised. One last thing is that all restaurants are right below you and it is busy and energizing all the time. if you are looking for a quite secluded site look for a location away from marinas.

warm welcome, free drink on arrival to relax & take in the atmosphere of the bustling port. the whole apartment was very clean & with a newly refurbished bathroom it seemed (great shower). amazing location overlooking the port, with the parade of restaurants & bars at ground level

Perfect stay in a cute little town~

The location is perfect! Although try not to travel with too much luggage, you can't really park in front of the hotel to unload them, you will have to park at a car park nearby and lug it up some stairs and a short slope on a very narrow "pathway" by the road. But the room is great, very clean, spacious, and the king size bed is just awesome! The window opens right to the port. Not sure if it would be noisy normally but I visited on a Sunday during COVID times so it was very peaceful!

Nothing, it's perfect! If I have to nitpick I would say the staff don't really speak any English and I had to get a French friend to call for me to get info. But it is really my fault for not learning French to come visit.

Great value for money in Bonifacio!

Very friendly welcome by the staff including a coupon for a welcome drink. The location is great. They helped with the parking, which was secured but 200m away.

The room was small.
