Friends Weekend in Venlo

Die Nähe zum Bahnhof und der Innenstadt. Mega freundliches Personal. Tolles Frühstück. Komme gerne wieder.

Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Prima basis hotel.

Het ontbijt was heel basis. Prima voor een broodje en een eitje. Zelf vind ik fruit en wat gezondere dingen wel fijn, maar dat was er nauwelijks.

Vooral het ontbijt en het klimaat/temperatuur. De kamer was aan de voorkant van het hotel (doorgaande weg en station) Hierdoor kon het raam eigenlijk niet open. Een airco oid was er niet.

Voor ons ideaal gelegen omdat we de volgende dag met de trein verder gingen.

De kamer was erg muf, een raam openzetten voor binnenkomst gast had veel geholpen. de kamers zijn echt outdated.

Die Lage war gut. Und grosses sauberes Zimmer

Das am abend eine privat Feier war und man die Musik bis ins Zimmer hört . Und wegen der Feier konnte man das Restaurant nicht besuchen . Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig

Couldn't even sleep

Good location, kind staff.

Uncomfortable bed. Not the highest standard for cleaning. VERY warm in the room, as the sun hit the room all day, and no AC available. Really loud generators just outside the window, that kept on the whole night, impossible to sleep. I had to cancel my stay half way and find an alternative place.

Room had windows on the street level. We were like window shopping targets. No privacy. Rooms and hall ways not upgraded in centures. Needs urgent upgrading.

Very close to train station and five minutes walk to the centre so perfect for me, excellent breakfast included in price and very friendly staff.

At 2.30...ish, in the middle of the night, the smoke alarm went off so we had a few minutes of chaos but the staff were very apologetic the next morning and were not sure what caused the alarm to trigger, it wasn't a guest they said and it had never happened before. Sometimes strange things happen, i would have given an eight but for this incident.

Great location across the road from the railway station and an easy walk to the town centre. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Exceptional

Room was good .Hotel was built in 1866 and was a officer's residence in WW2 for the Germans and later for the Americans.The woodwork on ground level is amazing.Central railway station is just over the road.Staff excellent. Breakfast perfekt. 15 minutes from nightlife and shops. Carpark for €7.50 a day

The location is very good, just few steps from the train station and very close to the center of the town. The staff was very helpful. Beds were comfortable, the room was clean.

No air conditioner in the room, we were at the ground floor and could not open the window as people were passing outside, very close to it.

The reception staff need to be trained on how to welcome the guests in the professional way

A bit old employee man was at the reception when I arrived, he was not polite and he welcomed me in a very bad way,,, When I arrived there was no one at the reception desk so I rang the bell once and there was no response from anyone I waited for 5 minutes and then I rang the bell the second time then after a time around 3 min the employee receptionist came to me and started to objecting and he was blaming me that why I did ring the bell twice with a very bad and unprofessional way, and when I explained to him the reason, he didn’t apologize for that, he is very bad receptionist employee and he should be trained how to deal with guests, this employee will be the reason for not to booking this hotel again, I do not recommend this hotel at all as long as this receptionist still has the same behavior with guests

Cheap and Cheerful with great location and good breakfast!

Friendly staff, great breakfast, located well for transport links (opposite train station) and not too far out of town for the restaurants and bars. Served us well for a 1 night stay en-route to Hannover from the UK

Rooms a little dated, not the most comfortable beds but you get what you pay for I suppose!
