Magnifique établissement. Le Royal Continental est merveilleuse bien situé sur le Lungomare de Naples, en face du Castello del Ovo. La salle a manger et la terrasse offrent une vise magnifique sur Capri. Le centre-ville est accessible à pied en une quinzaine de minutes, ce qui est très pratique. Le personnel est sympathique, aimable et à disposition pour toute question. La chambre était spacieuse, toujours très propre et très confortable. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et propose une variété de produits. Plusieurs bons restaurants sont dans les environs de l'hôtel, notamment le "Pastamore&Chiataome".

The staff, food and location was excellent at the hotel. Easy to reach shopping, restaurants and sightseeing-destinations.
I loved the room with seaview and 1 balcony and 1 big terrace. But i did’nt like the noise from restaurant above the room when they moved furnitures late at night and early in the morning. I also missed a big dressing-mirror at the room. Anyway we loved our stay and we will come back to this great hotel.

The experience at this 4-star hotel during the 8 days of stay was a successful one in terms of clean and comfortable rooms, a pleasant location in a safe area with a beautiful view, a varied and tasty breakfast, and friendly staff, though not necessarily the entire staff.
On the other hand, I am disappointed that on the very last day of my stay, my pajamas suddenly disappeared (not just any pajamas, but a quality brand) that I had left in the same place as always, and the reception staff told me that it was most likely mixed with the room linen that is changed daily and taken to the laundry. At 3 PM, when I returned to the room and noticed the pajamas were missing, the housekeeper was still in our hallway cleaning, which suggests she still had the opportunity to check the linens, but the reception told me they contacted the housekeeper, and she didn't find anything.
Also, I received a gift from a relative, a package that was supposed to arrive at the hotel, which I later found out was refused and sent back to the sender, while the reception staff told me they hadn't received anything.
Overall, a nice hotel, but it still has some work to do in terms of customer interaction.

Room was very comfortable, good temperature control, views are amazing! Very good bed- slept really well! Lovely balcony too which we sat out on every evening for a drink.
Lifts are very slow, do worth taking the stairs if you’re on one of the lower floors. Breakfast choice is ok- but not great. Coffee is good (the most important thing for me)

In a quiet neighbourhood but in a short walking distance to a lot of attractions. Bed was comfy and room was spacious. Breakfast was good but a bit busy, like it can get in big hotels. Nice swimming pool, you do have to book your time there.
The door on the room was very heavy, hard to open and keep open.

View from the room, location on the sea and near popular area with restaurants nearby.
Our main problems were with the staff and very poor customer service. They were uniformly unwelcoming, bordering on rude, with just a few exceptions. There is no sense of customer service. Everything was a problem. Nothing was easy. We were actually berated once by the pool staff. The building is old and showing its age. The soundproofing between rooms is pretty good though.

Excellent location, good A/C on very hot days
You have to reserve a place to visit the pool and its confines. Access to the pool and adherence to times was strictly enforced. This was annoying as you could only book a 1 or 2 hour slot each day. With 5 minutes to go you were reminded to exit - this was not relaxing! This really is a business hotel and not designed for tourists. Shower in room was decidedly iffy and didn't produce hot water for some while and only at a poor pressure. The hotel is looking a little tired and needs an upgrade - but that's very Naples.

Location was great! Great views. Restaurants & supermarkets all around. Taxis available all the time! Good gelato store next door! 25 mins walk to Naples port, 7-10 mins by taxi!
After check-in, we were sent to a room which looked nothing like what we had booked. Completely different, not even a single similarity. It was small, quality of the room looked very poor and didn't showcase any value for the money we spent. I travelled with my wife and a 1 year old baby. We had handpicked this hotel based on the location and reviews! Although the price was very high, we decided to spend this money for comfort and safety of the family. It was a 10 night (2000 euros worth) stay. The next day I checked my booking on your website which confirmed that the room given to us was not the one we had booked. We went to the reception and complained & the response was that the rooms are allocated on a first come first service basis and as we came late from the airport (night check-in), they didn't have any other room. What kind of reasoning is that? This is unheard of!!!
If we hadn't complained, they would have kept quite and we would have spent the entire holiday in a suffocating room. We felt as if we were cheated! We didn't expect this form a premier hotel. This is simply unacceptable!
As a result of our complain we were shifted to an alternative room which was better than the pervious one! We were relieved however, it was still not the room that we had booked. We somehow managed the entire ordeal and decided to inform Booking.com on return because, I use your platform to make reservations and I sincerely hope you can compensate for our distasteful and horrible experience.

Location with a sea view
The lifts were not working. I was on 9th floor and always only one lift was working. Very dated hotel . Tv in the room not working, no toiletries in the bathroom. I asked for iron given that i was on a business trip and they said they don’t provide i have hire their laundry services!!!! My suitcase was lost by the airline and when i arrived I needed an adopter for my labtop . They said they don’t provide

Posizione comoda se si vuole stare lontani dal caos del centro storico. Staff super accogliente e disponibile. Colazione anche molto buona, soprattutto con la vista a Castel dell’Ovo.
La camera. Tutto sta se si è fortunati e si ha l’affaccio sul mare. Noi siamo rientrati nella categoria sfigati e quindi affaccio sulle scale d’emergenza. In questo caso, prezzo davvero spropositato. Camera datata, buia pur essendo al sesto piano, capelli altrui nel bagno.

Ad un certo punto uno dei quattro ascensori si è guastato. A questo punto abbiamo avuto molte difficoltà a scendere. Soprattutto io che sono un disabile.

while room had a balcony with sea view, the door was locked the second day, and we could no longer use it. At breakfast, some items (ham, eggs) ran out around 9 am and weren't refilled.

Location was great right on the water with beautiful views of the castle. The bar staff at the ground floor bar and rooftop bar were all very nice and friendly
Front desk staff was not friendly and customer service as a whole was not very helpful. I tried asking questions before arriving to confirm booking but did not get answers I needed.
The rooftop pool rules were not explained in the booking either. I was not able to use the pool until I checked into the room and even then I had to make a reservation with a charge of €5 per person per hour with a max of two hours.
