Un remanso de historia en el corazón de Asunción.

Gran hotel con patios increíbles llenos de vegetación, recovas y galerías antiguas en un edificio histórico que conserva toda su dignidad frente al paso del tiempo. Me transportó a otra época. La piscina es hermosa, el desayuno 10/10 y la amabilidad de los empleados excelente. Si no te encandilan los hoteles modernos y escenográficos, éste es tu lugar.

El colchón era cómodo pero algo ruidoso.

Ein entspannender Aufenthalt in Stadtnähe, der einen an die 'gute alte Zeit' erinnert.

Ein Hotel im alten Stil, sehr 'edel'. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbuffet, Swimmingpool und Tennisplatz, Säle für Veranstaltungenm relativ zentral gelegen, aber absolut ruhig, Ein Traum Late checkout kostenlos, sehr freundliches Personal, welches sogar englisch spricht (aussergewöhnlich in Paraguay!)

Signature hotel that made Asuncion memorable for me

This property looked intriguing online and it did not disappoint. A true heritage hotel at a reasonable price. So much character.

Hard to fault. This is not a luxury hotel as such but it is an experience.

A charming, characterful and peaceful space removed from the hurry: good for reading and writing :)

Outside spaces were attractive and steeped in history. The character of the hotel was impressionable. The pool area special. The ambiance was peaceful

The bed was not comfortable (firm) and the room was small. The breakfast was limited. The location was far from central with lots of traffic to reach central areas in rush-hour.

The Gran Hotel del Paraguay is an Oasis in the heart of Asuncion

The Gran Hotel del Paraguay is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of Asuncion. The rooms are spacious, the gardens are gorgeous, and the pool is nice to relax by. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help!

No complaints, overall was a great experience and I'd stay here again.

Loved the welcome, vibe, staff, pool, cleanliness, attention to detail (excl food and drink)

Food and drink : The staff def need help to improve menus and be trained how to make fresh juice drinks and cocktails too. We tried our best but had to leave so many glasses full and felt bad. Someone really needs to go out to the better cafes and bistros in Asuncion to see how the competition are doing things - bistros and cafes within 500m rival European standards and same with decor - no wonder the restaurant is always empty. You get the feeling on food and drinks that no one behind the scenes cares anymore which is a shame because the hotel is AMAZING - a real oasis with great history!!! I won’t stop staying and I’m here regularly but I will no longer eat here or drink here anything prepared by the kitchen/bar - so sorry so sad 😓

If you want to experience Paraguay history, don’ go to a museum. Stay at Gran Hotel.

The fact it was an old style hotel with beautiful gardens. Nice to sit outside and relax

Many of the staff spoke no English so communication was a challenge sometimes. However they did go out of their way to understand what we wanted.

A great jewel in Asuncion although a little far from a lot of attractions in Asuncion.

Very good breakfast. A lot of options available. What I liked the most it's that os available very early in the morning (6:30am).

The distance from most of the activities in Asuncion. Besides there was a lot of traffic that weekend in the city (major concerts that loaded the capital).

It was really nice. They have to work to control noise, but otherwise it was good.

Really great staff, nice rooms. I will go back because it is super well-located and nice for work.

Breakfast is not super nice, is a basic buffet. They could try to provide more variety. It can be noisy at night if you are on the first floor. Guests are noisy and drag bags through the night.
