Fall of expectations

No breakfast was offered and the internet wasn't working for the 2 days stay and this made our stay to be boring.

Very happy overall, cheep and cheerful

The price was very cheep, Loved the location, Staff seemed very nice

The room smelt quite damp, As I builder I’d strongly recommend replacing the rotten old windows, They will definitely cause major damp issues in the winter, Some maintenance is very over due in the building, it’s a charming old building that definitely deserves some love

roof too low, rug needed cleaning, no chair and table to sit and write. 1 bed better than 2 separated beds need to deal with dampness lower part of wall by the bed

Pay for what you got

Have been here twice, I like That It was out the way (down a country road kinda thing) very cosy rooms, beds were very comfy, not top condition but is acceptable for the price. Everything is clean and well laid out. For the price and polite staff I cannot knock it. We will be coming again

Nothing. In my several dozen years of traveling to various corners of the world, I have never seen such a terrible place to stay. It certainly cannot be called a hotel.

I have been to many places around the world, I have stayed in various hotels, apartments and accommodations. Even in the case of poor owners, I could count on proper preparation of accommodation, cleanliness and order in the room, and fragrant bedding and towels. However, the place where I recently stayed overnight contradicts any standards in a country that was recently a member of the European community. The room I received was located in a single-story wooden barracks (there is no other name for it). From the vestibule, through a dirty door, one entered a small, smelly room with a dirty, unpainted bathroom. The carpet on the floor was damp (the moisture penetrated into my textile travel bag which I inadvertently placed on the floor. The dirty, unpainted single-glazed window was ajar, and only later did I discover why. With the window closed, the stench of damp and fungus was unbearable. Because I was very tired after the first night, I didn't pay attention to other shortcomings. In the morning it turned out that I had slept in bedding previously used by perhaps more than one person, as evidenced by the gray color of the bedding and traces of blood on the duvet cover. Fortunately, in order to cope with the stench and humidity in the room, I had the window open all the time and due to the low temperature at night, I slept in sports clothes. The unpainted bathroom with a moldy shower curtain was no different from the standard of the room. Moreover, you had to use both hands to operate the washbasin faucet because you had the impression that it would come off because it was not attached to the washbasin at all. You had to wait a good minute for hot water and the pressure depended on the time of day or night. The broken part of the bathroom door frame showed the moisture and fungus there.

Hell sh*t hole of a dump I would not home a dog in, avoid at all costs!

Nothing!!! it was so bad that we slept in the car the 1st night and left the next morning and checked into another hotel yes we lost all our weeks money but I wouldn't make a dog sleep here let alone a human! It was filthy, moldy, smelly, cold, dangerous, unfriendly, 1 towel no hot water, blood on sheets/duvet, mold up walls, dangerous plug sockets, and building works... shall I go on? Just DO NOT book this place I'm disgusted that Booking.com still have them on the site. Wrote email to booking.com no reply great customer service right there irony off

How much time do you have to read this? Do NOT book this hell hole it's disgusting that Booking even have it on the site!!

Lovely place very and very peaceful out in the countryside my room was lovely too and very spacious nice facilities ensuite for the price its very worth it would definately stays seems very popular

Location was really nice transport links awkward but managed to walk to main road then stuck for buses but uber saved the days

Don't ask...

I did like comfortable bed.

Dirt, nobody cleaned my room before my arrival, spiders and their webs inside room and toilet, dirty walls. Windows were so old I could hear noise from outside plus that smell of "age" inside. This room needs urgent refurbishment.

The bed was comfortable

1. There was only 1 set of towels. I asked staff for more, and he said they only provide 1 set. I then said that how is it possible for 2 people to use 1 set of towels?. He then went and came back with another set. 2. The wotels had stains on them. I went downstairs to speak with staff, but there was no one around. 3. In the room, there was a tiny table. The table wasn't big enough for 2 people to sit around and have food. 4. There was no cupboard to hang the clothes. They put some small square boxed to put clothes in them. 5. The TV remore didn't work properly. 6. There was no privacy. You could hear people talking and making noise. I didn't feel comfortable knowing that other people could hear me.

Value for money, nice garden and a little remote

This property needs renovation, it is not in good shape, but they probably why it is 40 GBP per room, per day. It is a small hotel and I just saw one Mr working there, in the garden and at the Reception, obviously, he needs to cover all duties.

Nothing was to like

I'm suffering from a very stiff neck since staying which has made me unable to work today and most probably tomo. We paid for a deluxe room which looks nothing like it does on the website. The windows were James shut with black mould. I wish I got more photos but was late tired and left as soon as we woke we couldn't wait to get out of there. If you go to the property you will see how poor it is

The mould in every corner of the bathroom, the excessive condensation on the window, rotting of the skirting boards, the smell of stale cigarettes, fusty/filthy dampness. The television was propped against the wall not actually hung up. I have chronic asthma and this place was not safe for my health!

Wouldn’t stay again

The bed was comfortable. There wasn’t enough towels

The room was freezing… the bathroom was really dirty, paint flaking off the wall, no mirror in the bath room and we didn’t use the shower as it was dirty. However the room smelt thickly of bleach when we got there that it gave us all a headache and one member of the party was asthmatic which wasn’t good

Windows in the room were nearly falling out the frames, unable to shut. Room was as basic as could be. Took 3 attempts at phoning while stood outside to get someone to let me in. Whole building is very out dated, needs a refurbishment desperately.

Place was a dump, was there 15 mins before leaving. Didn't even stay the night. Ended up getting a different hotel room for the night. Mould in bathroom, dead spiders, stains everywhere, dirty cups, bathroom was disgusting. Rooms are nothing like photos, completely fraudulent. Also took my money before I even got there even tho I said I was to pay at the hotel.

the room was dirty and the lights didn’t all work. We were given a key to let us into the property once the door was locked but it didn’t work and we were locked out of the property when we returned during the night and spent over an hour knocking and ringing before being let in. The staff then were rude at us for waking them up but we were locked outside in the rain.
