Avoid family rooms

The family rooms are situated in the hotel basement, right below the restaurant. The only window of the room opened directly in a very busy pathway. We would have permanently people passing and staying in front of the window. Besides the lack of privacy, it was very noisy. There was a lot of noise from the restaurant upstairs and from the neighboring rooms. We could hear chairs screaking, door slamming, voices, water running all the time, even through the night. The bathroom had no ventilation and towel racks were rusty and the walls were full of mold. We had no way of drying our towels and beach apparel and the air in the room was always damp. When we complained to the reception, first they denied that it was noisy, afterwards they said that there was nothing they could do, only after three days of discussions and inviting a receptionist at 12 AM in our room to hear people listening to music in front of our window they agreed to allow us to shorten our stay with just one night.

Underbart hotell.

Jättebra bemötande vid incheckning. Tydlig information av proffsig personal. Allt gick smidigt, och väl uppe på rummet, så hade vi inget att klaga på. Det doftade gott i korridoren och rummet, allt såg och var rent och fint. Sängarna är riktigt sköna, och utsikten över stranden gjorde det hela ännu bättre. Generös frukostbuffé med gott bröd, variation av pålägg, all dryck var tillfredsställande, och man slapp trängas med de andra hotellgästerna. Personalen höll buffén i god ordning.

Balkongmöblerna kunde varit lite mer anpassade efter utrymmet. Kanske ett bord som går att fälla upp och ned vore bra att ha i åtanke. Kanske även fler hängare i badrummet, så att man kan hänga upp handdukar eller badkläder. Sista kvällen, var det en man i rummet bredvid som bankade hårt i väggen, så fort man pratade eller tittade på teve under eftermiddagen. Vill man ha det så tyst att man inte kan höra någon annan andas, får personen ta in på ett silent ashram i Indien kanske, då det här hotellet är ett respektfullt ställe, där man kanske knackar på någons dörr, i stället för att banka på väggarna. Detta är ingen kritik mot hotellet, utan mot en viss person som trodde att han kanske var chef över människors samtalsnivåer under blanka dagen.

Merci énormément pour l’agréable moment que nous avons passé ! Nous reviendrons c’est sure et nous serons en sorte de dé

La vue et l’emplacement est exceptionnel ! Tellement unique de passer la nuit face à la mer au bruit des vague et se réveiller en voyant le lever du soleil !!! Le petit déjeuner est top et nous pouvons admirer la mer à chaque coin de l’hôtel ! Et tellement rare également d’avoir un parking gratuit sur des zones touristiques !!!!!! Merci beaucoup pour la gentillesse du personnel !!!

Nous sommes tombé sur la semaine d’entretien du restau donc nous avons pas pu le goûter … une prochaine fois j’espère !!!! Et j’ai aperçu des parties de la chambres un peu négligés par l’entretien du ménage … mais bon sans gravité

A very good hotel which provided a relaxing and pleasurable stay.

I loved the dining room and lounge it was very attractive and the views were beautiful. It is a very nice hotel the ambiance was top notch and it was beautifully decorated. It was perfect for a couple and I would certainly stay there again. I really appreciated having fresh orange juice for breakfast. The breakfast was good.

An exceptionally minor point the toaster was incredibly slow even on the highest temperature.

La habitación estaba literalmente sobre el mar, el atardecer y amanecer fueron una pasada! El personal muy amable y atento. Estaba limpio. La tetera/cafetera en la habitación es un buen detalle.

El tamaño de la habitación es muy justa para dos personas. No tiene espacio para trabajar en la habitación de forma cómoda. Las paredes son finas y se oye la habitación contigua con bastante detalle.

Awesome location and a beautiful hotel. Restaurant and service was outstanding. Breakfast was good and we loved the family of 3 cats that were around sometimes. Good parking and short walk to town and beach.

Rooms a little bit dated and small but nothing that really matters when weighed against all the good things the hotel has to offer.

Location is amazing! It is surrounded by beautiful beaches. What is also appreciated is free parking provided by the hotel which nowadays is almost impossible to get. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast was also very good!

Rooms need some serious renovation. And they are quite small especially if you are coming with a lot of luggage which was our case.

A place to come back to.

Superb access to the beach. The bar is great, and pleasant staff. Good facilities in the rooms (eg. nespresso machine and kettle). Free parking is most welcome. One of our two rooms (unrenovated) was good, with a sea-view.

Loud cleaners. Room in the renovated part with items breaking down.

We had two rooms, the deluxe with big terrase facing sea and a standard with partial sea view. The deluxe is definitely worth the extra money, has a huge terrace with almost 270 degree view.The restaurant and breakfast food was good and area all had nice view out to sea. Easy walk down to the two beaches either side of hotel

Occasional bad drain smell in bathroom, but with window you can air it. Rooms could be cleaner (minibar had an old leaking butter from previous guests).

Great stay, we'd come back. Probably some of the best hotel views on this part of the Costa Brava.

Gorgeous views from the room - didn't disappoint in translation from images online to actual experience. The view from our room has that 'special/honeymoon' feel to it from the large terrace (we stayed in room 510) and you're looking down on swimmers, rocks, beach, wide sea-sky vista. Staff were all lovely, especially reception and housekeepers. We only had lunch in the restaurant once, it was very nice; prices are more 'special occasion' than week-long eating, and we had booked as it's walking distance to town and we wanted to eat out there. There is a store room that you can leave bikes/SUPs in, but it is also their store-room rather than a dedicated space, so you'll need locks and to ask for the store-room key each time, but it was fairly handy to get down to the beach (quite a few steps) for a morning stand up paddle or swim. Beaches on both sides and they each have a private beach bar/restaurant, which we ate at most days for lunch, and you can hire sunbeds there too during the summer.

Breakfast is pricey. Not the hotel but generally this area along the Costa Brava can be a bit windy in May and June.

Great location but really disappointing room.

Lovely coastal location. Sun rise over the bay and beach was great, as was breakfast in the restaurant over-looking the sea. Car parking was available, albeit a bit remote from the hotel.

I paid for a Superior Room but it was terrible. The room and bathroom were tiny, you could barely walk around the bed and it was impossible to sit on the toilet without resting your knees in the bidet. The glass balcony door was broken and "repaired" with several feet of grey gaffer tape. The main door handle was broken in half and didn't work reliably; it never actually dropped off, but every time we left it looked like it might. It took until the last day of our stay to realise there two drawers in a chest next to the bed because one handle had dropped off. The reception staff were very friendly and asked what I thought of our room. When I explained the problems they just shrugged their shoulders and said nothing. It was fortunate that I booked a superior room, heavens knows what a basic one is like.

at the beginning we were given room under the restaurant and during dinner it was impossible to be in the room as the noise from the chair moved was really loud. Stuff was really nice and suggested us to move to another room.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Costa Brava and will definitely be coming back!

It was right on the beach, they offered an all you can eat breakfast and it was near so many cute shops and restaurants! The staff was extremely welcoming and attentive and the room was very comfortable with a lovely ocean view.

We could not find the spa and it would have been lovely if they had a pool!
