Traditional hotel with big rooms and good service

Very clean, traditional rooms, big rooms, next to train station

No blinds- got woken up by the run Not super close to any of the shrines

Wonderful!

Beautifully decorated and stylish rooms with great attention to detail.

We once went for breakfast which was poor quality compared to the rest of the standard of the hotel and restaurant where we had an excellent dinner one night as well.

Bardzo sympatyczny hotel z profesjonalną obsługą. Bardzo dobre, pięknie podane śniadanie. Cicho i komfortowo. Blisko metra i pięknej świątyni buddyjskiej.

Słaby internet w pokoju. Wolny i często zrywał połączenie.

Kind staff, great location by Gojo Station, pretty hotel

It was pretty and had a good location.

Some things in the room were slightly banged up and could have used some paint and repair, mostly the walls and pillars.

Nice big rooms. Excellent breakfast. Easy access to train station. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Wonderful.

I love your breakfast. Everything was very FRESH. The food was just delicious nothing too salty or too sweet.

The location was a little bit off to the main center of city. But we took taxi all the time.

I found a huge roach in the bathroom but theres a drain so it's understandable

Beautiful hotel, spacious accommodations, thoughtful details in the room, friendly staff.

The room was spacious and gave us a cool place to enjoy during the very warm summer! We enjoyed the extra little details in the room.

The bathtub and the area under the wood platform in the shower had some mold and didn't appear to be cleaned well/often. I'm not sure if this was the nature of the wooden bathtub or what.

A lovely chic and elegant hotel

Breakfast served both, Japanese and Western meals. I wanted to try everything. The room was very lovely authentic Japanese style with a tiny tatami room, especially I love the wooden bath tub. The location is great and I could walk from Kyoto station.

Fabulous Hotel

Lovely hotel, modern with a traditional Japanese feel Excellent location - 5-10min walk to Kyoto station, 20-25min walk to Gion/old Kyoto area, 20min walk to Nishiki Market area Staff very friendly and provided great tips which visit some temples/shrines Room very clean and facilities fabulous

we had a fantastic time regardless of minor oddities.

room was fantastic, staff was very friendly and helpful. location was good, but a bit far from shopping and entertainment. i'd definitely stay there again though.

the separation of bathrooms was a bit odd, and only one soap dispenser was annoying and unsanitary.

Overall an enjoyable stay at Hotel Kanra!

Very well curated gift shop, with goods from a selection of Kyoto craftsmen. There was even a lady who was doing kintsugi porcelain repair work in an adjacent studio who kindly explained the process to us. Beautiful architecture and furnishings so design buffs will appreciate staying here.

Beautiful hotel a short walk from the Kyoto train station.

Beautiful rooms, tranquil Japanese decor. The traditional breakfast was very tasty and interesting. Staff was very helpful.

Breakfast cost was a bit pricy, but that's to be expected for a higher end hotel.
