I was staying in Gosford as a base for attending a work reunion in Sydney.

It’s convenient to railway station but the best part is the new shower/toilet facilities. One feels very safe while showering. Water at a constant temperature and face washers and bath mats at your fingertips.

There is nothing that I didn’t like. Cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel good food comfortable bed and good suze room but the lift whikst heritage I get it is not customer friendly f

The bed was very comfortable and the room size was good.

The lift is really hard to operate. Key wouldn’t work as key barrel is worn. Hard to get in with luggage bags etc., and then open doors and get everything out at the floor. Room key lock barrel was loose and key would not open the door without fighting it. When you have luggage over your shoulder and coat bag and have to put everything down to open it was very annoying! I put my back out leaving trying to get out of the lift with my luggage whilst battling the lift doors. I will ask for a ground floor room if I ever stay again.

The stay was good and I enjoyed it!

Room is clean and always gives me a nice feeling. Excellent location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Air conditioning is great. Overall I like it!

There is no microwave oven. That is a downside for me. Still good value for the money.

I was allocated the tiniest room in the hotel. Shared bathroom and Toilet on other side of the building.

Average accommodation wouldn't stay here again , way too noisy if you want a good night's sleep.

Clean , good sized room, comfy bed, good food in pub.

Pub is right on an intersection, lots of noise throughout the night, hard to sleep and no bathroom in room, price should be cheaper.

Location and the staff were good. We used the dining facilities with the meal being OK for a pub.

When we booked, it didn't indicate that the room didn't have its own bathroom and that we had to share these facilities with others on the same floor. However management gave us a room with a bathroom, which was "very small", however acceptable.

Other people on the same floor, when going to thier room yelling out to other people and doors slaming shut. In ladies bathroom missing glass out of windows making the bathroom colder on cold morning & nights

Very clean comfortable affordable hotel accomodation.

Room was clean and comfortable.

I wasn't made aware of the Fri night live music until 2am, until I checked in. Which was too late to find other accommodation and I had purchased room at no-cancellation rate anyway. Free secure parking was not available as advertised either. Nearest overnight parking cost $50.00.

Nice to have tried Aussie old world hotel and support local business, but for the price, I wouldn’t stay there again.

old world Aussie charm, comfy bed, hot shower.

the music/band until 1.50am, then the loud hum of the downstairs air con motor/kitchen air extractor or something all rest of the night, the $100 key deposit.

Bathrooms were really clean

I stayed 4 nights. One of the nights a couple were being very loud in bed and continued until the early hours of the morning, had to put headphones on. The kettle in my room was black on the inside and couldn't boil the water for a tea or coffee, all you would get was black stuff coming out from the boiled water.

Room was perfect for an overnight stay. Quiet, clean and comfortable.

Parking. I pulled up in carport behind the hotel and it was full. It was late and I had a child with me. I called the hotel whilst in the car park and was advised by a young lady that I'd have to find somewhere else to park. Either at the train station or somewhere else. When I walked in with luggage and my child, I was met by a different staff member who showed me where to check in and asked me if I parked out back. I explained what happened and she said I could have left my car near gates and parked later when one became available. I explained I parked a block away and we were tired. We had to walk to the car in the rain the next morning. Not ideal.

It was quite suitable as we were travelling the next morning. Very clean and staff very helpful.

We didn’t have breakfast but had dinner on arrival and had a great meal.

Having an ensuite would have been better but the bathroom was very clean.

Excellent room, very clean

Hotel patron noise and closing of door on the same level as mine were a bit noisy and made me jump a few times through the night.My room was over street so traffic noise also. Im a light sleeper so it was expected.

Was breaking a journey.

Easy walk from Gosford Station.

Often the lift door is not closed properly after person gets out of lift. Makes it very annoying when you are on a 3rd, 2nd or 1st floor. I complained to person in office on 1st floor about this. She was not helpful. I had to walk to the 3rd floor to check myself and send the lift down as the lift door was not closed properly. It’s not good for people who have no physical strength.

Good Pub accommodation and I'd stay again if I ended up in Gosford.

The room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.

I was staying at a pub so expected noise so this isn't a complaint, just an observation. I stayed on a Saturday night and it was pumping down stairs, sounded pretty good actually and nothing my headphones couldn't cancel out, but if your staying on the weekend bring your earplugs!
