Beautiful scenery. Wonderful staff and very comfortable modern room

I had room 44 and i have to say it was Gorgeous. The decor was so modern and up to date and was really nice. I was disappointed to know when i checked out that the decor wouldn't be staying as it was only a trial room. personally i think if all rooms displayed the same decor it would just compliment the hotel massively and give guests a very good experience

A pleasant place to stay, which takes you back in time.

The hotel has a great location with wonderful views into the bay. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel though dated was very clean. In addition the pool was very good.

The waiting staff in the restaurant lacked attention to detail. For our evening meal no bread roll or water jug for breakfast the toast only made it to the table on the second attempt. The bed was most uncomfortable and two days later am still feeling the discomfort.

Victorian comfort.

Beautifully kept original interior. Lift quirky but not adequate ( too small) Very comfortable room with a balcony which we were not expecting. Good food.

Only entertainment once a week, need something at weekend. More disabled parking needed. Outside of building not attractive but understand it is original architecture.

A fantastic 2 nights away

Breakfast excellent.The room was very clean and tidy. Close to amenities. We had a missing TV remote and it was sorted right away. The spa facilities were excellent and we will definitely book this hotel again.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here. We would definitely choose to stay again.

Free parking near the entrance. Not always the case in Paignton. Breakfast freshly cooked served at the table. A large comfortable en suite room. Bar meals good. In all areas the staff were very polite and friendly. Proximity to the sea front. The pool was great. My husband said the gym was good too.

Purpose of both stays were for visiting relatives and we picked a great base at Redcliffe Hotel.

Character hotel with unrivalled seafront location centrally overlooking the bay. Second stay this year and staff very helpful in arranging a private room on both occasions so we could entertain relatives for lunch.

Loved absolutely everything about this wonderful hotel. Staff were great . Food was good and the steps to the beach were amazing. The beach was beautiful too. We were sorry we weren’t staying longer.

History and luxury in one place

Very fascinating and impressive - History and Luxury in one place! MUST-SEE place in DAvon! An excellent experience. Hotel with very high standard on everything and an exceptionally service-minded and attentive staff. Absolutely beautiful hotel and rooms, the decor is stunning, large and perfectly well-equipped bathroom, heavenly comfortable bed with crisp linens. Special praise to the Head Chef for a unforgettable and delicious dinner at a very high level! If luxury is your thing, then stay here!

Went for a break for my husbands 50th birthday. I was very disappointed with the rooms and view over the iroog of the sw

Building had history and it was in a lovely location.

Bedrooms where very small. The bed wasn’t a double. NO Air conditioning in rooms or fans. Only a small window in room. We had to go buy a fan. The room was small and boiling. No air. Sauna. Jacuzzi not working. Outside pool not open. Bar closes at 10pm. The view from our room was a roof. Won’t stay again

Location views great

You can't fault the location but my goodness the hotel needs some serious love and attention. Poor breakfast choice on the "buffet" and its pretty much fry up or bust on the cooked option. The bar food is super basic but served quickly. The first room we were given was truly awful BUT the excellent chap we spoke with was quick to remedy by giving us a much better room. That said, it was super hot, couldn't turn off the radiator in the bathroom and a small not very comfortable double bed. A great shame. This hotel could be truly magnificent with some investment and attention to detail. The biggest saving grace was the fact that every member of staff was truly delightful. We booked through booking.com and were supposed to pay on arrival but the hotel took the money days before we arrived. When I asked the hotel why, I was told it was because some people don't turn up! I suggested that perhaps they change the "pay at the hotel" option to begin with and this would save any misunderstanding

Outdoor pool was shut in July when it was meant to be open. Also, no jacuzzi or sauna open.

Room was clean and comfortable and made up everyday. Right on beach with magnificent sea views. Short walk to sea front and Paignton harbour. Ideal location for exploring Devon. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental style, and also a cooked menu. There was a bar menu and also a restaurant.

I would go back but eat out.

Nice sea front location. Rooms good size and very clean well serviced daily.

Sadly the evening meal we had was only average. The menu was very limited and the food was clearly prepared early and kept warm.

Excellent stay in a fab hotel!

Beach front hotel - in a good location. Lovely spacious room, decorated in a nautical theme - with a sea view - huge comfortable bed. Generous sized bathroom with a nice shower, and lovely thick soft towels. Nice full English breakfast included.
