Great choice for Plitvice Lakes

It's a brilliant location for Plitvice Lakes. If you don't have transport, no problem... the bus from Split or Zagreb drops you off at Mukinje bus stop.. and then it's just a 7 min walk on a back road (don't walk on the main road!) to House Boro. It was perfect for me as a solo traveler. There's a supermarket just 15/20 mins walk away and Plitvice Lakes Entrance 2 is just 35 mins walk from House Boro... a pleasant walk, partly through a forest... I was on my own going there and coming back and felt safe. The room was lovely and spacious. It was quiet and the bed was so comfy. The owner/manager is very friendly and gives you good advice about which route to take at Plitvice. They also serve meals at House Boro... dinner (20€) and buffet breakfast (10€) just let them know what time you want it. I had the dinner during my stay... there was a choice of 4 meals... I chose the meat dish - it was huge!!! Remember to bring a credit card with you to Plitvice lakes, as they don't accept cash at the cafes. It was nice to chill in the garden with a beer after my all day walk at Plitvice. House Boro also offer wine & beer. Definitely a good choice if you're coming to Plitvice. I stayed two nights.. perfect! 👍🏼

Enjoyable stay

Very friendly owner and a really nice location. About 25 minutes walk from the Plitvice park entrance 2. The night sky is really wonderful. Good breakfast and dinner.

the close location was great. staff was helpful.

5 min drive to park entrance 2. there is breakfast for extra cost but did not try it. has 4 person occupancy for a good price. staff was helpful.

the beds were squeaky and when you turn on the light in the bathroom, there was a low motor hum that was irritating. walls are kind of thin, can hear your neighbor next door.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location was very picturesque and quiet. Very close to Mukinje bus stop and only 20 minutes walk to entrance 2 of Plitvic NP. Very comfortable room.

Shower had to be held in hand.

Really enjoyed House Boro and Plitvice. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable bed and chairs. Convenient having a fridge and table in the room. Owners were friendly and went out of their way to help us out. Good walk to the grocery store and entrance 2 to the National park. Great value for money.

Excellent stay near Plitvice

Very nice stay at house Boro, super welcoming hosts. The rooms are very modern and nice with plenty of space and equipped with everything you need. The breakfast is also good at a fairly low price. The location is super close to the Plitvice entrances.

The showerhead cannot be attached to the wall.

You get what you pay for

Good value for money given the location. Complimentary tea and coffee, a cute balcony and a fridge in the room are nice extras

Lacking in cleanliness and details. For instance, the mattress cover was ill-fitting and didn’t stay put during the night. It didn’t look very clean either.

I don't even know ,how to begin explaining,how perfect our stay in House Boro was.Location,room,hosts,everything as good as it gets.The food was incredible (fish was fresh and cooked to perfection and the breakfast,that was mostly homemade, hearty and delicious).It is a family business and it really shows,in the best way.We were on a 15 days road trip to Croatia and Montenegro and this was the best accommodation we had,by far.It's very close to Plitvice Lakes National Park(in which you should spend, at least,2 days to see.It is breathtaking).The host(who was the son), was very fluent in English,very caring to all our needs and absolutely loved our big dog!!He was very genuinely kind and warm.They have put all their love into this and you instantly feel relaxed and welcomed.We decided to spend our two evenings there,at the garden,as it was so peaceful and nice.We wouldn't consider going anywhere else if we ever visit Plitvice again.Keep up the good work and thank you so very much for our stay.

The location is very beautiful, and the accomodation is close to entrance 2 of the lakes (2 kilometers -you can go either by car or walk). The host is helpful.

The photos of the room did not match the real rooms. There are several rooms, and when you book the accomodation the photos of the bigger and renovated room are shown. When we arrived, we found a much smaller and older apartment, that was disappointing.

Lovely place, lovely owners, really excellent food available. Short walk to the local market, maybe 25mins walk to the park entrance 2. 5mins to the bus stop. Great stay. Make sure you get off the bus at the stop AFTER the park entrance 2 or it's quite far to walk!!

Cute bed and breakfast that is great for visiting the park

this is a super cute little place! it’s very close to the bus stop (don’t get off at entrance 2, get off at Mukinje!! the buses will also stop there). The owner is lovely and was very helpful in giving us tips on the the park and how to get there/what to do. It’s within walking distance of the park, it will take about 20/25 minutes, and take you through a beautiful wood. There’s a restaurant and grocery store that are both decently priced close by.

the hot water pressure was incredibly low, but manageable.
