We felt very much at home but being cared for by a staff for who all we wanted was provided with a smile and genuine car

It had the charm of a much loved guesthouse with so many personal touches that made our stay immensely enjoyable.

Nice impromptu night away

Good value. Easy to find

Bathroom was tiny. Toilet very noisy and sink didn’t drain away.

Lovely homely stay

Such kind welcoming owners, everything you need in your room, I especially appreciated the decaf tea and coffee and bottle of water. Comfortable bed, good shower, nice toiletries. DELICIOUS breakfast.

Lovely quaint lodge, excellent staff, quiet town.

Lovely staff and nice to have use of a garden space. Excellent breakfast - especially the toast!

My husband is 6ft6, so is used to having his feet dangling over the end of a bed. I am always careful to book accommodation with beds that don't have a footboard. However, the bed in our room seemed smaller than a standard double, so his legs from his knees were dangling off the end as he slept! He didn't complain but if I had known the bed would be slightly smaller than a double, I wouldn't have booked it.

perfect place in the town centre to stay! definitely would stay again

small enough to feel cosy but big enough to feel safe. hosts were very kind and helpful and able to meet all our needs!

Chard Equestrian trip

Katherine welcomed us as if we were part of the family. James cooked an exceptional breakfast earlier than normal, as we were working very early. Definitely will stay again and definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

Superb

The room was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom a good size with a bath and shower. Breakfast was very good. Would stay here again if in the area. Moved the tea tray off the dressing table and then had a desk to work at!

The breakfast was excellent, the location is very good you have shops, pubs etc. The rooms are very nice and comfortable.

Really really lovely.

Such a friendly place and a beautiful building with lovely rooms. The owners were the most lovely people and the whole place was so authentic and well kept - you wouldn't get anything like this in a corporate big chain hotel it just made our time in Lyme Regis area even better.

Our room was a bit small and dark but honestly it didn't matter it was so well decorated and charming, if we'd have been staying for longer it might have been a problem but for a couple of days it was perfect. One thing to consider about this property is parking, it's on a busy road and parking can be a problem as there are limited spaces outside, it was fine for us and we got by but it could be worth considering.

Spotlessly clean. Very warm welcome. Everything we needed. We could park free. Cosy. Privacy. Lovely and thoughtful hosts. Delicious breakfast.

Accomadating owners in beautiful building, only issue for us was comfort of mattress.

Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of it and locally sourced ingredients, location was in centre of chard

Our friends bed was amazing unfortunately ours was not comfortable at all for us resulting in a poor nights sleep, our freinds however slept perfectly

Excellent place to stay

The hosts are perfect. Very keen to help, very discrete. Breakfast was very good.

Bathroom was a bit cramped. Watch out for low beams, but I guess that's also the charm

Good value for money and great hosts.

Breakfast was great. The hosts were kind and helpful.

Parking is a little tricky, but so long as you leave the bay by check out time, it will be fine. The family room ceilings are low, but you get used to it.

Lovely night at the Ammonite Lodge.

Welcoming staff, very professional. Good breakfast. Very quiet and dark, brilliant sleep. Bedroom hot drink selection excellent.

Limited parking but plenty nearby.

Room was spotless, lovely range of teas, coffees and hot chocolate availible. Breakfast was locally sourced and flawlessly prepared. Check in and chwck out were straight forward. Would definately recomend and use again.
