Lovely well kept house in an excellent location with excellent hosts

The house was a lovely heritage building, with lots of history connected to the area. The hosts were excellent, always available and happy to accommodate any requests. Food was excellent and it was ideally located for our purposes. Warm and snug and all things well explained.

The shower was a bit dodgy and hard to regulate. Once it got going and got the temperature right it was alright but the pressure wasn't the best.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was such a lovely little old cottage. The owners were such a delight, very friendly and knowledgeable about the best places to visit, and we did just that, visited the locations that they suggested and we were not disappointed. Would definitely recommend to friends and family visiting Burnie.

A great and very comfortable stay with all fascilities covered

Generous breakfast provisions with additional garden produce in season

Wpuld have preferred off street patking but a residential pass was provided for all day parking, but still traffic was a minor issue

Spacious and comfortable heritage listed cottage Well located

Breakfast provisions were excellent and pantry cupboard provided many extras There were many small extras and we were exceptionally comfortable especially since our hostess advised us to keep the heating going Parking no problem

A fabulous place to stay!!

Absolutely fabulous accom in a great location. Breakfast was fantastic and the kitchen so well stocked. Duck House is a unique house filled with history snd generosity snd love. The penguins are just down the the road with wonderful information from the volunteers. We loved our stay at Duck House. Thanks Tych and Lyn!

My friends and I enjoyed looking at all the ducks... If you are not a fan this is not the place for you! It had an otherworldly feel to it all and reminded me of a house which might belong to someone's grandmother. According to my friends, their beds were comfortable, the breakfast was a great touch and they ate lots of bacon.

My friends loved it, I was not so keen.

Comfortable home with lovely decor in a great location.

Very charming house with helpful, intelligent hosts. Close to the beach - we were able to walk down in the evening to see the penguins. We only had one night - next time I’ll stay more- would be a lovely place to use as a base to explore Northern Tasmania.

That our stay was only one night.

Lovely vintage cottage full of charm.

Bountiful supply of breakfast..we cooked bacon and eggs with toast! Good location near penguin center and near town. The hosts are very friendly, they greeted us and gave us a quick history of the house. A very interesting vintage house full of history and character. It has a country feel that I really like.
