Great place to stay and discover Watamu

Very spacious 2 bedroom villa. Amazing swimming pool and great environment. Franklin was a great host.

The internet was not very strong. I was "working from home" and had to frequently resort back to Safaricom 4G network.

Great vacation

I was looking for a clean vacation home for my the whole family, cleanliness and sanitation was what I was looking for and Yes everything was clean! The host came to welcome us and make sure we had all we needed 👍.The chef (Patrick) was fabulous, he was not only a great cook but he was respectful and chatted with everyone, he also helped us get a tour ride around Watamu. The care taker was very respectful (Franklin) , we’ll be visiting again!

Amazing place to relax by the pool, with great staff and close to the beach.

Spacious comfortable villas with large outside space and lovely pool. good air con and mossie nets. Owner and staff all responsive and accommodating. Five minutes walk from a beautiful beach. Musa the chef was outstanding and exceptional value.

Good and relaxing stay

A nice and calm place full of tranquility. A great location to spend with family or a group of friends. The caretaker was readily available in case we needed help or had any questions.

This wonderful villa is a peaceful, cozy and comfortable place to stay in wat amu. The staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are always available. Cleanliness is top notch, inside the villa and also in the fantastic tropical grounds. I will definitely go back any time in watamu

Village layout. The security guard. Beds were clean & comfortable.

The whole place is old and run down. Kitchen was infested with insects that got into the fridge, freshly laundered dishcloths, the pots and pans etc. The kitchen sink was blocked and never properly cleared by the staff. It failed our expectations .... it's marketed and priced to be above average but it failed to deliver ... it never could; not in it's current tired and unkept state. The description was dishonest.

There is a very loud water pump on the premises of the neighbour, which should be put into a box to reduce the noise.

A cracking place, beautiful gardens and great staff!

A smashing venue in Watamu! Our team had loads of space to work inside the beautiful and well appointed cottage. We were able to really get to grips with the work we had to do there. The whole of Watamu struggled with several powercuts during our stay but they had brilliant back up solar batteries, which helped save the day. The beds were very comfortable, the gardens were beautiful and all in all, it was a very restful place to stay. The staff were great too, every one of them.

It isn't really a grumble at all but we were self catering and the kitchen suffered the usual problem in rural Kenya of occasional do do's (cockroaches and ants) which is quite normal. All in all, the place would have benefited from more bug secure food storage - we popped everything in the fridge which did as good a job.

Superb

Spacious, comfortable villa with tasteful decor and a well-provisioned kitchen. The outdoor seating area is very comfy, lovely for breakfast with just enough privacy. The pool is very clean and landscaping is done with care. Caretaker staff are very helpful and friendly. Laundry service is available. It's private and very quiet at night, and there's a resort just next door with a good cliffside restaurant. Several excellent restaurants are close by, I actually ended up opting out of the chef. I didn't experience any hassle from monkeys. Extended my stay and would definitely stay again.

The kitchen needs cockroach prevention measures. The mosquito net in the master bedroom needs washing. Caretakers mostly do not knock before entering, which can be startling.

This is a house on a shared property including a pool and the beach is a 20 minutes walk away.

The chef was great and the house was nice. The pool is also excellent!

In the house description it makes it appear as if it is a standalone house with a private pool close to the beach - this is not the case. This house is one of four on a shared property including the pool. When we were there all three houses were full and playing very loud (competing music). I was very surprised to find this when we arrived. Also, beach access is a 20 minute walk to the sandy beach along the main highway - not really possible with small children. We luckily had driven, but it would be hard to do without a vehicle or you would need to rely on tuktuks.

Amazing and a place to return

I loved the staff, Franklin is a gem. He is so good. He made us so comfortable.

The only issue is the power and swimming pool attendant just kept disappearing. Beds are limited by the pool.
