We spent a few days in beautiful Rye and really enjoyed our time in the cottage. The location is great and the decor is cozy. We enjoyed the small garden to have a coffee there in the morning or to sit outside in the evening.

Good location in the center of Rye. Parking is a little problem all over the place (not a problem of the cottage)

A fascinating old house in a great location, great to stay somewhere interesting but it is small and with low ceilings. Stairs require reasonable mobility, parking outside is short term, there is easy and cheap parking around the corner on Rope St.

We have stayed at Chesterfield Cottage many times and have always enjoyed it. If you are staying in true this location really can’t be beaten. Literally seconds from the famous Rye landgate and all of the local pubs and restaurants. Also only a few miles from Camber Sands. The cottage itself is very quaint and comfortable and we have found it to always be clean and well maintained. Thoroughly recommended if you want to visit Rye.
